"Welcome to my favourite place in the world." Andre smiled, wrapping his arms around Holiday's shoulders.

She was mesmerized. Andre had taken her to the cottage his family owned a few hours north. The view was beautiful. The sun setting on the lake was like a painting. Holiday had never seen anything look so lovely before.

"It's beautiful." She finally muttered.

"Not as beautiful as you, baby girl." He smiled, kissing her cheek.

His arms fell from around her, and he stroked across her back to grab her hand. Their fingers linked as Holiday continued to stare at the sun setting. He tugged her gently, finally taking her from her state of awe.

She followed behind him as he took her down some trail. She would usually be freaking out about something like this, manly because the girls would be the people she'd be doing this with, and the girls were something else. She trusted them, they were just, too wild for her liking at times.

But with Andre, she felt safe. Since she had been with Andre, she had grown as a person. That was how she knew their relationship was different. Not many people had the opportunity to bloom in a relationship, and she did. She had come out of her shell.

Ever since Holiday and Andre started dating, Holiday wasn't as afraid of social outings, she was prepared for confrontation, and she was more secure with herself. She knew it was all thanks to Andre always being there to support her. To show her her worth without ever lowering it.

She stopped, pulling on his hand. "Andre," She spoke.

He looked back at her with his brows raised. "What's up?" He asked.

She smiled at the worry in his voice. His little adorable face staring at her, concern everywhere. She gestured for him to come towards her with a single finger, never letting go of his hand. He smiled, walking over. Her free hand rested on the side of his jaw and neck before she gave him a passionate kiss.

He kissed back, smiling into it. She smiled too as the kiss became rather lengthy. They broke apart, pecking once more. He smiled at her before he gestured his head in the direction they were walking. She rolled her eyes before they continued their walk.

Their peaceful moment was ruined by squeezing girls. Andre let go of Holiday's hand as three girls in bikinis came running over to Andre. He hugged all of them. Holiday was furious. She didn't want to see nearly naked girls hugging her boyfriend. Andre pulled her forward, wrapping his arm around her.

"This is my girlfriend, Holiday." He said with a giant smile. "Hol, this is Megan, Hailey, and Jane."

Holiday nodded at them. They all pouted and looked at each other. Holiday rolled her eyes. She knew what was coming. Jane reached out and touched Andre's wrist.

"She's a lucky girl, Andre." Jane purred.

"I really am." Holiday smiled, wrapping her arms around Andre and kissing his jaw.

Andre smiled, squeezing Holiday into his side. "I'll see you ladies tonight."

"You're coming?" Megan squeaked.

"I gotta show off Holiday sometime." He grinned.

They walked back to Andre's cottage in silence. Holiday was pissed. He took her on a cute little walk like that just to go see some other girls. Yeah, they'd probably know him longer than Holiday, but they weren't dating him. She let go of his hand once the cottage was in view and crossed her arms, walking into it by herself.

"Hol, what's up?" Andre sighed, closing the door behind him.

"You take me on this little walk down the beach, just so you can go flirt with half naked girls, while I watch." She shook her head.

"I wasn't flirting with them, Hol, and my intention wasn't to run into them." He sighed, sitting down beside her.

"It seemed like you were. I didn't like it, Andre. Whatever you say that was, it made me feel really worthless." Holiday exhaled, sitting back.

"Hey, you're the farthest thing from worthless." He growled, pulling her into his lap. "I don't know what my life would be worth without you, alright?" He said, holding her face. She nodded. "I'll stop flirting if you think I was. My attention is only yours."

"Thank you." She mumbled before kissing him.

"So are you up for a party to meet my boys up here, or no?" He asked, hopeful.

"I'll go." She smiled, earning herself a kiss.

So they went. Holiday changed into something more party appropriate, adding a bit of make up, and hairstyling. Andre didn't need to do much. He was already beautiful.

He held onto her thigh the entire drive to his friend, Eric's, cottage. Holiday didn't know much about his boys up here. He knew their names and that they just partied a lot. Apparently, they were coming to the team this year.

They pulled into the driveway of a cottage that was bigger than any house Holiday had ever seen. Well that was a lie. Audrey and Samson both had huge houses. Rich people.

They walked inside, hand in hand. Andre knocked on the door. It flew open and a guy launched forward, hugging Andre. Andre hugged him back. They broke apart and the guy looked at Holiday. He pointed.

"Your girlfriend!" The guy exclaimed. "Holiday, I have heard so much about you."

The guy hugged her. She chuckled as she hugged back. Andre rolled his eyes and mumbled in Swedish. Holiday grabbed his hand, squeezing it when the guy pulled back.

"This is Eric Comrie. Goalie extraordinare." Andre told her.

"What's with the giant cottage?" She chuckled, looking up.

"Both my brothers are ex NHLers and we created the Brick." Eric shrugged. "Like, the furniture store. Not the cement rectangular prism."

"Oh." Holiday fell quiet.

"Are you gonna invite us in, or?" Andre cocked a brow.

"The pretty lady can come in but your attitude can stay out!" Eric said, guiding them inside.

They followed him into the swanky cottage. Girls were sloppy and throwing themselves at guys everywhere. Holiday could only imagine the field day her girls would be having. These were the exact girls they thrived to be nothing like.

"Holiday, meet Haydn and Jake." Eric extended an arm towards the two guys on the couch.

Haydn kissed her cheeks and Jake shook her hand. Two kinds apparently. They hugged Andre and tossed out their inside jokes and comments. Holiday smiled. She loved seeing Andre this happy. His arm found her waist, and that's where it stayed for the most part of the night.

Until Holiday excused herself to go to the bathroom. Yeah, she took a bit longer because she was texting her friends. But she missed them. And there was no washroom time limit. Well maybe there was at a party, but she didn't care.

She walked down the stairs and looked to where Andre was before. He was still there. Just surrounded by girls. He had his arms around two of them. Jane and Hailey. Megan was sitting on the ground in front of him. Holiday shook her head. She avoided him, walking to the drink table.

Jake watched her take back for shots. "Woah," He called, pulling the fifth away from her. "Those are all gonna hit you at once."

Holiday stared at him intently. "Am I completely repulsive?"

"What?" His brows furrowed. "No, you're a stunning girl. You have a nice body, too. Just coming from a guy's perspective. Not attempting anything."

She nodded. "Then why is my boyfriend surrounded by girls that aren't me with a giant grin on his stupid, cute face?" She hissed, looking over at them.

"Hey, don't worry about those three girls. They're just pocket change." He reassured her, touching her shoulder.

She looked over at him. "Sorry, what?"

"Holiday, I don't even know you and I know you're a really great girl all because of what Andre has told me. He cares about you only, he's just a naturally flirty guy. Those girls are nothing compared to you." Jake explained. "You're a pot of gold and they're pocket change."

She smiled a bit. "I'm gonna like having you on the team." She admitted.

"I'm looking forward to it." He smiled.

That pair sat together for the rest of the night. They mostly just talked about Andre. They both had a lot of memories with that guy. The shots hit Holiday and she got really giggly. She kept leaning into Jake, resting her hands on his thighs. There were no bad intentions there, just a lot of alcohol running through Holiday.

Andre was tired of the attention he was getting from girls that weren't his girlfriend. He was also a little worried. She went to the bathroom a while ago. He stood up, shaking off the two girls on him. He stepped around the third on the floor. He looked around for Holiday anywhere. He found her, doubled over, laughing, with Jake Virtanen holding her.

"Holiday," He growled as he stomped over. "We're leaving." He grabbed her wrist.

"Hey, ease up, Andre. She's fragile." Jake said, grabbing Andre's wrist.

"Is that why you got her drunk?" Andre hissed. "So you could take advantage of her?"

"I stopped her from getting even more drunk." Jake defended himself.

"Jake was my friend tonight while you were off with the Three Stooges: Slut, Bimbo, and Hoe." Holiday spat at her boyfriend. "Let go of me, I'm walking home."

She staggered out of the door at a pretty decent pace, she thought. She was wrong though. Andre didn't trail far behind her. He walked past her to the car. He opened her door. She shoved it, staggering back before she continued walking past it.

"Holiday, get in the car." He sighed.

"Get in the fuck you!" She yelled as she staggered down the driveway.

Andre hopped into his car and followed beside her slowly. She crossed her arms and kept walking. He rolled down his window, trying to plead her in. She spun around to look at him.

"You lied to me! You told me you would stop and you got worse!" She cried, tears falling from her eyes.

"Baby,"

"Don't 'baby' me!" She screamed. "You're a liar!"

"You were just as all over Jake!" He tried to argue.

"I'm drunk! What's your excuse?" She shoved his car, staggering back.

"I,"

"You're just a huge dick!" She yelled, trying to kick his car.

She just fell back, onto her ass. Then she broke down. Andre parked the car, climbing out. He picked her up, tossing her over his shoulder. She tried to fight it, but he was stronger. He laid her down in the back seat. He locked the doors and switched on the child lock before he closed the door. She screamed the entire ride back to the cottage.

The next morning, Andre woke up alone. There was a note on the counter. Holiday left it before she left. She told him she got her dad to pick her up. That was it. Andre growled as he crumbled it up. He had major damage control coming his way.
