Caden was so lonely it was pathetic. She ws so perfectly imperfect it wasn't even funny. From her mud brown eyes to her acne scarred face. She couldn't decide if it was blessing or a curse being 5'6". She had huge manly hands and even larger feet. She never did her nails, but she never had a reason not to either. She wasn't ugly and yet she wasn't average either. She actually had a pretty face. Most days she didn't hate herself. She had goals, plans, and a few far fetched dreams even. Dreams like dating a player from her favorite sports team even. But that would never happen.

See...Caden is fat. And pro athletes don't date fat girls.

But she's otherwise pretty desirable. She's sweet, loving, and exceptionally polite. She's creative and smart, but nobody ever wanted to look past that. How would she date an athlete if she couldn't even get a regular guy. Caden is 22 and has never had a boyfriend. She wasn't prude or ultra-religious, but nobody wanted her. For reasons that she couldn't fathom. What was wrong with her? She had a long term hook up with one guy when she was 19. They'd make love, have a conversation, and he always promised to take her out to dinner, but he never did. She loved him. He told her that he loved her, but that was a lie. He loved having sex with her. He stood her up countless times and would just throw out the L-word like free candy. She gladly took it and gave up her heart in exchange.

To be honest she wasn't really in love with him. She was in love with the idea of somebody loving her. She figured out that it would never happen so she turned to craigslist. Where every other lonely, desperate person turned. She had more hookups that she'd like to admit, but she still never felt whole. Then she tried countless dating websites, but those didn't work either. She usually just got messages like "wanna fuck?" and "hot tits". She tried with every ounce to take those as compliments, but she wanted more. She wanted somebody to love her for her fear of bugs and love of al things Star Trek. Someobdy to cuddle and watch netflix with and canoe down at the river.

She finally came to the realization that she would in fact be alone forever, even though her friends and family told her otherwise. She'd probably have 18 dogs (because she hates cats) and live on a suburban cul-de-sac with her own herb garden.

Caden had just transferred schools for the dumbest reason imaginable. She wanted to be close to her team.
