***Sidney’s point of view***
“Please tell me that I am not the only one that noticed Keeley’s behavior.” I questioned the guys. Judging by the nods that I received I wasn’t alone. Keels looked just fine when she left G’s this morning. There was no cut and I knew that she wasn’t that clumsy. Something was going on and I was determined to figure out just what it was.
“She has been acting weird lately.” Jordan said stopping in his tracks. “I mean none of us have been to her house, we had to practically beg her to come to G’s party last night. We have never had to beg her to go to G’s before. She loves his house!” I chuckled a bit, he was right. Keeley loved Geno’s house. She never wanted to leave when she was there. “She usually doesn’t decline coming out with us either.” Jordan added. He definitely had a point.
“So what are we going to do about it?” I questioned the small group in front of me. “Whatever it is, we have to keep it on the down low. Is that understood?” I received nods in response. “I want to keep this situation between us. I know she’s rooming with Geno and Jordan during the trip so maybe you could see how she acts, what she does, if she’s back to normal. Things like that.” I said speaking to both giants in front of me.
***Keeley’s point of view***
The boys had been gone for a few hours and my work was almost finished. All I had left was to organize the tape cabinet. I ended up doing this task once every few weeks at least. I didn’t mind too much since it gave me something to do and it was kind of relaxing. I was the only one left in the arena so I changed into my sports bra and a pair of my shorts. I knew that there would be a lot of bruising but I wasn’t prepared for exactly how much I saw. My stomach and ribs looked terrible. I groaned and filled the tub in the trainer’s room with ice and cold water. These weren’t my favorite things but they help with the soreness. Once the tub was filled I climbed inside and shivered at the temperature. I had to stay in for at least 15 minutes, they’d be the longest minutes of my life too. I tried my best to relax and just enjoy the time I had to myself. It didn’t last too long before I heard some commotion in the halls. I figured it was just one of the other trainers or coach so I just ignored it, they wouldn’t come in here. What I wasn’t expecting was Jordan to come strolling in the room with a bag of what I assumed was food.
“Jordy, what are you doing here?” I asked sinking lower into the tub, trying to hide my body.
“I know you didn’t have time for breakfast this morning and I figured that you had skipped breakfast and lunch so I figured I’d bring you some.” He smiled and kissed my cheek. I thanked him and asked him to put it in my office. Once he left I got out of the tub and put my oversized hoodie on over my body quickly.

***Sidney’s point of view***
“Has anyone seen Keeley?” Coach yelled into the locker room, just mentioning Keels name had all of our attention immediately. The guys all replied with a no and looked at the door to her office. It was shut, which it never was if she was here. We had a flight to Chicago in a few hours and she was never late. She was either here before me or she’d arrive a few minutes after me. That’s how it always went. It was unlike her to be so late. I didn’t remember seeing her so I picked my phone up and dialed her number, it rang but she didn’t answer. “No answer on her cell.” I said, I wasn’t sure if anyone was listening or not. “Keep trying. Does anyone know where she lives?” Coach asked. “No, but I’m sure we could figure it out coach.” Jordan said. Coach nodded and left the locker room. “Go through her office and see if you can find anything. Don’t trash it though. You know how she likes to keep it clean and organized.” I said standing up. Jordan, Geno and James stood at the same time and walked into her office. I tried her cell again. She still wasn’t answering. I had a bad feeling about all of this. Minutes seemed like hours. I tried to call a few more times and she still wasn’t answering. What is going on? Jordan came out of her office about twenty minutes after he walked in. “We found her address.” He whispered to me. “Okay, so should we go over?” I asked and Jordan sighed. “She doesn’t live in a very safe part of Pittsburgh.” He whispered. He didn’t want the rest of the guys to hear. “Let me try to call her one more time. If she doesn’t answer then we’ll take Geno and Cooke with us. I doubt anyone would try to mess with the Russian Bear over there and Cooke.” I whispered pointing at Geno. He nodded and took a seat next to me.
“Hey Sid.” She said into the phone. Her voice sounded off.
“Where are you? Our plane leaves in a few hours. We have to be at the airport in half an hour.” I replied trying to keep my voice down. I heard her sigh.
“I know and I’m sorry I’m late. I just got caught up in a few things that had to be done before we left. I’ll be there in like fifteen minutes. Do you think that you and Geno could do me a favor?” She already knew the answer to that one. Geno would do anything for her. I had never seen him so into a girl before. It really hurt him when he found out about her boyfriend, that we have yet to meet. I knew Geno wanted to get a feel for him. Hell we all did. She’s family and he hadn’t passed the older brothers test yet. “Yeah sure, what do you need?” I asked.
“Can you finish putting my bag together? I need all four kinds of the tape in the cabinet. Just pack four or five of each. I also need the first aid kit, grab four of them. I have a bag under my desk that has the rest already packed. If you could put it on the bus for me that’d be great. I need Geno to meet me out in the parking garage. I need some help with my bag.” I laughed. “What’d you do pack your entire closet?” She growled but I didn’t catch the response before she hung up. I got off the bench and walked into her office.
“Geno, Keeley needs you to meet her in players parking garage in about ten minutes. She needs help with her bag.” He nodded and left the room. Now to finish packing her bag.
When I saw Keeley walk in next to Geno I was shocked. She looked horrible. She was pale, more so than usual. She looked exhausted, there were bags under her eyes. It looked like she hadn’t eaten in days. I opened my mouth to speak but Geno just shook his head no. He dropped her bag on the floor next to his and took her in his arms, making her sit on his lap. Anytime one of the guys would try to get close or say something to her Geno would glare and they’d immediately walk away. I sent him a text and told him we needed to talk. Just then coach walked in and said the bus that would take us to the airport was here. Keeley got off of Geno and he grabbed their bags. She led the way to the bus, and was the first one on. I got on behind Jordan and looked around for Keels, she was sitting in the very back of the bus. Her head rested on Geno’s shoulder and he looked to be whispering something in Russian to her. He wrapped his arm around her and pulled her closer to him and played with her hair. I pulled my phone out and took a picture sending it to both of them.
***Keeley’s point of view***
I pulled Geno into the seat next to me on the bus. I didn’t want to be anywhere but with him. When I had pulled up at the CEC I saw him leaning against his car, arms crossed over his chest. He noticed me pull into my parking spot and strolled over. I slowly got out of the car and popped the trunk. “Help with bag?” He questioned. I nodded with a small smile. There was something about seeing Geno that gave me butterflies every time. I never felt butterflies or anything more than misery when I saw, talked to or even thought about Justin. I think Geno picked up on something. I mentally cursed as he questioned me.
“You ok?” He asked his English wasn’t perfect but it was better than when he first got here.
I took Geno’s arm and wrapped it around mine, “I’m fine, just really tired. I had a rough few days.” That was kind of true. I wasn’t fine but I did have a rough few days. Justin had gotten angry all three days that I was home. No matter what I did it wasn’t right and he would take it out on me. When his football team lost and he didn’t win some stupid bet that he and his buddies made, that set him off even more. I was the one that he took it out on. I couldn’t get out of bed without being in pain yesterday. My entire body was bruised, I was sure that I had a few cracked ribs and a dislocated shoulder that I fixed myself. When my alarm went off this morning I practically jumped out of bed. I was more than ready to get out of my apartment for the next week and a half. I figured Justin would have still been passed out cold on the couch but he was waiting for me when I went to get my keys. According to him I needed to be reminded of who I belonged to and what would happen if I did something I wasn’t supposed to on the road trip. Thanks to him I was late to work. “You tell me something wrong, right?” Geno asked opening the door into the arena.
“Would I tell you if something was wrong?” I asked making sure I understood his question. When he shook his head yes, I replied with an of course. He didn’t have to know that it was a lie. I was getting better at hiding things from him and the rest of the boys. It kind of scared me to be honest. I didn’t like the person that Justin was turning me into but I couldn’t do anything about it. Geno and I walked quietly into the locker room. He placed my bag on the floor next to his and pulled me onto his lap, wrapping his arms around me. He wasn’t letting anyone near or even talk to me. I was grateful because I really didn’t feel like explaining myself to anyone. When coach said the bus was here I was the first one out of the room and onto the bus. I saved the spot next to me for Geno. When he finally got on he pulled me closer to him and wrapped his arm around me. I felt his fingers run through my hair and heard him whisper “Я буду держать вас безопасным всегда. Я люблю тебя.” Into my ear. I had no idea what he said but I liked when he would say things to me in Russian. Hell he could read me the phone book and I would still love it. I was pretty sure I was falling hard for this boy and it scared me. I didn’t want Justin to hurt him or any of the other guys. The ride to the airport was quick and before we knew it we were on the plane on the way to Chicago. I was fortunate enough to get a seat next to Geno. It didn’t happen often. All of the guys wanted me to sit next to them, I would usually be pulled in six different directions before I would find my spot. Today was different, Geno and I were left alone, and I think we were both happy about it. I curled up into G’s side once more and instantly fell asleep, a smile on my face.
