Prove Me Wrong.

'Jamie's POV'
As much as I love being home with my family and friends in Canada my mind is always off wondering what Kieran is up to. I've seen all of her pictures, read her tweets and with each one I wish I could have went with her. Sure we've texted here and there, but it's been over a week and we've yet to really have an actual conversation. I know she's busy soaking up all she can in the little time she has over there but I miss her so much already. This time difference also keeps putting a damper in our plans, she's 8 hours ahead of me and when it's time for bed for her it's midafternoon here. It's been raining all morning here in Vancouver so my only plans today are to sit around and watch TV, and hopefully hear from my girlfriend.

It’s almost noon when my phone goes off with a iMessage from Kieran, *I miss your face! :( Skype??* I reply yes quickly and run off to my room to get my laptop, setting it up as I walk back in the living room. As soon as I get it set up an incoming call comes in from KierBomb3, I accept and her face appears on the screen. She's got her glasses on and a Dallas Stars shirt and a pair of grey Nike leggings, damn she looks gorgeous all the freaking time. Her knees pulled up to her chest and she's sitting on a bed up against a rustic wooden headboard, I can see Aggie the bear propped up against the pillows.

"Hi babe!" she says with excitement in her voice and a huge smile on her face. Just hearing her talk makes me smile, I never thought I'd miss the sound of someone's voice, but I guess that's what love does to you. "Hey beautiful, how are you?" She tells me about all the things she's done so far with her family and what they have planned to do next. I get to hear all about her cousins Niamh and Ross, who I wish I could meet since they're closer in age than Luca and Sadie. She also wants me to meet her grandparents on Skype but they've already gone to sleep since it's nearly 10 o'clock in Dublin.

After talking for a while she sits there quietly just staring at the screen, to me it looks like she's looking straight into my soul. But I know she's just zoned off, the Jetlag still getting the best of her. "Kier?" I ask and she perks back up. "Yeah, sorry I, uhh. Jamie, I miss you." she says with a pout her shoulders slouching down a bit. "I miss you too babe, and it's only been a week…" She reaches for Aggie squeezing him against her chest, "And, this little guys not doing his job very well," I laugh, I had promised Aggie would replace me but could a teddy bear really do that? "Sorry, I guess I should have gotten you one of those huge bears." "Yeah, that would have gone through security really well," she giggles slightly still kind of sad. "Hey I have to tell you something!!" I say trying to cheer her up. .

She cranes her neck sideways, "Okay? What's up!?." "We're going to Vegas!" She looks really confused running her fingers through the top of her braid. "Umm okay, you and Jordie? For what?" I guess she doesn’t check her passbook very often, "No, well yeah Jordie's going too but us. Me and you, June 12th for the NHL awards." She bites down her lip, her face going from relaxed to thinking. "Jamie, I have to start work I can't-" I stop her I had already taken care of all the logistics, "Yes you can, your office closes at 1 on Fridays, your flight to Vegas is at 4 and your flight back on Sunday lands at 8 pm. You're all set, the tickets are already in your PassBook."

She grabs her phone checking to see if I'm serious. I can hear her mumble something along the lines of "What the hell." when she sees that there are in fact tickets to Las Vegas in her name. "You're ridiculous Jamie Benn." she says shaking her head. "Yeah, I'm ridiculously in love with you and I want to see you before the 4th of July." She grins and lets out a yawn covering her mouth with her left hand I see the ring on her finger, every time I see her wear it I think again how lucky I am to have her and that I know she's mine forever. "Jame, I love you baby but I am so tired." It's weird for her to be going to bed while I am thinking about lunch, but I nod and tell her goodnight we plan to skype again in a few days so that I can meet her grandparents.
