I think the moment before I proposed to Tarin was the most nerve wracking moment if my life. Not that I thought she might reject me just that I would say something dumb, but everything went well and now we’re engaged!

I stepped out onto the ice for morning skate the next morning. As soon as he noticed me, John came over and slapped me on the back. “So I hear you put a ring on it.” He said.

“Yep.” I said while grabbing a puck. I skated off and shot the puck right into the net. I saw John with Brooks and Mike. All of a sudden Mike and Brooks skated at me.

“Ayy Matty!” They shouted. They came up next to me and shoved me around.

“How come you didn’t tell us you were gonna propose?” Asked Brooks while making a sarcastic angry face.

“Yeah.” Said Mike, “How come we didn’t get to see the ring?” I laughed and rolled my eyes.

“All of you sound like teenage girls.” I said.
