Fuck It
"It Was Only A Game"
The kiss lasted for several steamy moments, Jamie even using his large hands and hockey muscles to lift you up to sit on the counter. Finally though, the two of you disconnected your lips to the sound of several hoots and hollers from the boys around you. Both of you attempting to catch your breath let the game continue around you, Jamie resting his forehead against your own, his breath smelling slightly of whiskey cascading against the skin of your face.
“Not bad Chubs.” You told him smiling drunkenly as the next player picked truth or dare.
“Yeah?” Jamie asked in a softer voice, carting a hand through his long hair, clearly a bit flustered. But as a groan from Jason Demers drew your attention you simply smiled at him before turning to see what his dare was. Jordie however caught the entire interaction and winked when he got Jamie’s eye who just shook his head as if trying to clear it. Soon however, and after yet a few more drinks, it was your turn once again.
“Dare!” You cheered as you raised your cup in the air, liquid courage at it’s finest; Jamie groaned from beside you knowing how you got when you drank a little too much and Tyler laughed as he always encouraged you to get wild every once in a while. Jordie once again looked like he had some plan up his sleeve, but before he got a single word out someone else did.
“I dare you to kiss Seggy!” You made eye contact with Tyler’s friend whose name you forgot before shrugging. Why not, you thought to yourself, the alcohol in your system helping tremendously. This wasn’t you normally, but apparently it was tonight. Turning you stood on your tip toes before sealing your lips to Tylers. You giggled as his facial hair tickled your face but allowed him to deepen the kiss his hands gripping your hips. A loud crash rang out and and startled, the two of you jumped apart. Looking around you noticed Jamie bending down to pick up the remnants of the bottle of vodka.
“Sorry, my bad.” His voice was deep, filled with frustration, and his brother picked up on it.
“Jamie bro, truth.” Your eyebrows raised as Jordie made the decision for him. “Do you have feelings for anyone in this room?” Suddenly you felt like you were going to be sick as your surprisingly now sobering brain put together the pieces. Jamie looked you directly in the eyes looking almost disappointed before he looked at his best friend you had just been kissing.
“It doesn’t matter.” Jamie snapped back as he dumped the glass bits in the trash before making his way to the stairs that led to his room. Your heart ached and you felt like you had never fucked up so bad in your life.
“Jamie,” It was silent as your voice called out and Jamie paused on the bottom step and turned to look at you once more. “It was only a game.” He shook his head and started back up the stairs.
“Not to me.”
