I couldn’t handle the excitement of christmas, i’m still a kid waking up at the crack of dawn unable to handle the waiting of opening presents. “Baby wake up, its christmas” I chirped jumping up an down on the bed

“Katie” Jamie groaned “If theres no light coming in through the windows, its too early to be up” throwing the covers over his head

I laid on top of bare chest kissing the scruff on his neck “Christmas is a different story, I’ve been up since three in the morning and i knitted a pair of mittens. I can’t handle waiting anymore, we must open presents”

Jamie sat up with a smile on his face “Ya know for someone who isn’t up before eleven on a daily basis I am truly shocked that you have been functioning before six. Also I love your christmas attire” looking at my reindeer sweater and checkered pajama shorts with matching socks.

I hopped off the bed and tugged at Jamie's arm “C’mon present time”

“Alright i’m coming” Jamie laughed rolling out of bed. Even though each christmas gets harder without my parents, I felt beyond lucky to be celebrating the holiday with Jamie. Jamie and I spent five hours opening presents, he got me a chanel perfume, a michael kors watch, and a monopoly game set which is why it took us five hours to open presents because we played monopoly for a little. I got Jamie a set of ties, a michael kors watch surprisingly too and two tickets to see Jimmy Fallon in July. After presents, Jamie and I sat at the kitchen table eating cheese omelets, but of course Jamie ate three no surprise there.

“This is like the first time” I chewed “At the diner”

“Except this time its cheese omelets” He laughed with chewed up bits falling out “Oh shit sorry”

“Here let me get that” I leaned over wiping his face with my napkin “Much better”

“Just like old times babe” He smiled repeating “Just like old times, does your stomach hurt you barely ate your omelet”

“Yeah my tummy hurts, probably just the desserts from last night” I admitted holding my stomach

“So the night before the Olympics ceremony, they have a huge party with everyone almost like a gala I guess you can call it a gala goes to. And I was wondering if you would accompany me” He addressed smiling

“I would be honored to babe” I smiled as I walked to his side of the table sitting on his lap “I love you to the milky way and back”

“Hey that totally beats to the moon and back” He kissed “I have to say this was the best Christmas i’ve ever had. I got to spend time with my family, come back to Victoria for a little, get amazing gifts all with the most beautiful girl right by my side. You mean the entire world to me, I would take a hundred slap shots to the face for you”

“Thats the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me” I chuckled “Ready to go home?”

The remainder of the day consisted of the three of us flying back to dallas, since the boys had a two days after christmas. This time on the flight I was actually able to relax, mostly by sleeping considering I had been up since three in the morning. It was gonna be good going back to Dallas I missed Megan and Tyler and the city life. We arrived in Dallas in the early evening, Megan picked us up dropping Jordie off at his place on the other side of town and drove us to Jamies place... well I guess you could call this our place. Once we got home Jamie went straight to bed so he can have extra sleep for the early practice tomorrow, leaving Megan and I alone in the living room.

“So what were his parents like” Megan asked “Were they nice?”

“Are you kidding” I went on “They are beyond nice, the most amazing people ever. You know me, beyond nervous before hand; but when we walked through his parents door all the nerves disappeared, I felt at home with them”

“See I told you it wasn’t going to be bad, no one can hate you” Megan smiled crossing her arms behind her head “Do you think Jamie could be the one?”

I could feel my cheeks get hot “I really think so, I haven’t felt this way about anyone. Cliche to say but he really understands me and who I am and who I want to be. I’m head over heels in love with him, I just wish.. i don’t know”

“That he could meet your parents?” Megan questioned moving closer to me

“Yeah, as much as I love telling stories about them to him. Its not the same as meeting them and him forming his own opinion of them” I softly spoke “I was thinking tomorrow maybe him and I could go to the cemetery to visit them. I haven’t been there since the funeral and I think it would be a good idea”

“I’m sure Jamie would love to meet them tomorrow” Megan agreed “You know my mom goes and visits your parents once a month?”

“She does?” I questioned

“Yeah” Megan went on “Just to keep their graves clean and she tells them how you are doing”

“Tell her I said thank you” I yawned “That means a lot really”

“I will don’t worry” Meg smiled “I better get going before the traffic gets bad on the parkway, text me how tomorrow goes. Love you”

“I’ll text you after we go, love you Meg” I said as I hugged her under the door frame “Night”

When the door closed, I threw my hair into a pony and crawled into bed with Jamie. “Jamie?” I asked

“Yeah babe?” Jamie mumbled “You alright?”

“I love you” I answered crawling under his arm

“I love you too” He gently spoke, hearing him speak those words helped me drift to sleep allowing me to sleep the best sleep I have ever had. Waking up I found Jamie next to me, sitting in his towel clicking through the channels.

“Hey you’re up” He smiled kissing my forehead ‘Good sleep eh?”

“Best sleep ever” I smiled getting up from the bed making my way towards the bathroom “Jamie, I have a surprise for you so please get dressed warmly”

JAMIE POV

“Oh you do?” I smirked a laugh getting up from the bed

“Yes we will leave in twenty okay?” She announced from the bathroom “its a long drive”

What could this surprise be? Christmas was over, it wasn’t my birthday or our anniversary so what could it be? All she said was warmly, so it was obviously outside, thats all I knew. I threw on a pair of jeans and a v-neck with a dallas sweatshirt, coming out of the closet dressed Katie was sitting on the edge of the bed texting while her leg shook. “All ready” I blurted causing Katie to jump

“Okay good let's go” She smiled as we made our way out the door

Since I had no clue where we were going Katie drove us there, which took us two hours to get to. A large chunk of the drive I rapped eminem to her just like our first drive together which made Katie laugh hysterically till she cried. Still unaware of where we were going I stated “C’mon you gotta tell me where we are going” I repeated “You won’t even stop to let me pee”

“Because” Katie laughed turning the turn signal on “We have to get there before it closes”

“What place closes at 5pm on a saturday?” I questioned

“This place” Katie hinted at “Trust me you’ll understand why when we get there”

“When will that be?” I whined laughing

“Now” She pointed out turning the wheel

I looked up realizing we were driving through cemetary gates. Confused of why were here I looked up at her “What are we doing here?” I softly asked

“I want you to meet my parents” Katie blurtled
