“Jamie, can you get the heating pad please” I groaned resting my hand on my back

“You just had it on, maybe wait a bit before you need it again” Jamie hollered for the bathroom “Plus you just took some advil”

“It hurts bad-” I gulped before throwing up off the side of the bed “Oh no”

“Kat!” Jamie ran in “Okay lets get you cleaned up, c’mon now baby”

Jaime guided me off the bed gently as I held onto my stomach covered in throw up. God he was truly a saint for taking care of me when I am like this. “Jamie, I don’t feel good. It hurts”

“What does?” Jamie questioned taking my shirt off above my head

“My stomach” I moaned leaning over before throwing up again. My morning sickness was bad but it had never been like this before. I have maybe gotten out of bed once within the past two weeks, every time I would get up to get a snack or something Tyler or Jamie would tell me to go back to bed and to rest some more, how much resting can one do? Jamie placed one of his old t shirts on me over my head and gracefully helped my arms into it, taking a hot wash cloth and cleaning off my face he hummed to the tune of Favorite Things from The Sound of Music, causing me to chuckle even like this

“What?” Jamie smiled washing off my hands

“Favorite things?” I smiled softly

“Its a classic” Jamie chuckled “Plus you are one of my favorite things”

I smiled “You are one of my favorite things too”

“Here have some mouth wash” Handing the dixie cup to me “Now you seriously need to rest baby, we leave in four days and I want you and the baby well rested”

He intertwined his arm into mine and walked me slowly to the bed “Up” he softly spoke, I lifted into the bed placing my head directly onto the pillow I felt the sheets make their way up to my shoulders with a kissed placed onto my forehead. “I’ll go get the heating pad, and a cup of tea and crackers, then i’ll clean this up. You just rest now okay?” He said worriedly

Returning with heating pad placing it on the left of my stomach, I felt the nausea disappear and the sleepiness hit. As my eyes flickered open and shut I saw Jamie kneeling on the floor wiping up the throw up our eyes met before they shut

“I love you to the moon and back” Jamie softly spoke


JAMIE POV

“Feeling better, eh?” I chuckled reading over the paper resting my hand on Katies stomach

“God it felt like I slept for hours on hours” Katie yawned

“Well you did sleep for 10 hours straight” I teased “You have a doctors appointment in two hours so its a good thing you are up”

“Do you have any more press conferences today?” Katie yawned once more sitting up scratching her head

“Nope all done” I beamed “I’ll come with you, I haven’t been to a doctors appointment yet i’m excited to see what this is all like”

Without saying a word she leaned over and kissed me, I replied back with a kiss on her lips and leaned forward kissing her stomach whispering “Hey kid”

she crawled out of bed “Shower time then, I bet I still smell like puke” she laughed walking toward the bathroom door

“But a cute girl who smells like puke” I hollered over the shower water running down

I swear Katie took quicker showers than me, before I even finished the comic section she was out of the shower and already dressed in sweats and a tank top with a light sweater I swear even pregnant she still looked like a fucking goddess. We stopped for some afternoon bagels before heading to the doctor which was an hour drive, Katie sang the whole car ride I swear I was listening to an Angel trying hypnotize me, she knew every word to the Great Gatsby soundtrack

An hour and a soundtrack later we arrived at the doctors office, “Ready baby?” I asked unbuckling my seat belt

“You betcha” She unbuckled wombling out of the car we headed up to the doctors

You could be early for a doctors appointment and you could still wait two hours, even if theres three people in the waiting room aka Katie and I right now. “Im excited for Sochi” Katie blurted with a proud smile

“Its gonna be a fun time” I proclaimed “Are you all packed?”

“Yeah, Megan and I are picking up the gown from the store tomorrow” Katie went on “Had to get it two sizes up because of this little one” she laughed pointing towards her stomach

“Can you believe it, we are going to parents” I beamed “Before I forget the realtor called me when you were sleeping and he said we could put an offer on the house in Bridgeport”

“How much was it?” Katie said resting her head on my shoulder “900,000 right?”

“Yeah, I told Tom we were gonna offer 870” I went out “The highest we would offer is 880 r”

“Jesus you are amazing” Katie chuckled “I’m glad you are handling the legal part of this whole buying a house aspect. God look at us we even sound like adults”

“Thankfully I have you to teach me all about interior designing though” I smiled kissing her softly “We are so sophisticated, getting a kids meal when we go to McDonalds screams adult”

“Katie Murphy?” A tall dark skinned women called out holding onto to a board “Follow me please”

Katie wombled out of the seat, resting her left hand on her back I searched for her remaining arm. We made our way into the doctors office, the lights were dimmed barely able to see anything besides the computer set up in the corner with all the monitors and weird pregnancy things that I have no clue with what they do. “Please just take off your pants and cover your lower half with this please” The nurse said handing Kaite a blanket “The doctor will be here soon” leaving shortly after. Katie shimmed out of her sweats and laid down on the table, cause me to smirk

“Hey no smirking” Katie chuckled “You know I can’t resist your smirks. You smirked one time and look where we are now”

“I can’t resist you thats why” I kissed her softly

The door opened wide as Dr. Minoge walked in “Won’t be the first time a couple had sex on the tables” She chuckled “How are you two?” Dr. Minoge handled the WAG pregnancies on the team so many of wives recommend we see her and only her to help us out within the next 7 months

“Good” We both said in unison

“Hows the morning sickness?” Dr. Minoge asked scribbling something down on her note pad

“It has its bad days, but the bad days only last for a short amount of time than it ends” Katie went on “I tend to throw up a lot, is there anything I can do besides putting a heating pad on to help stop it?”

“Yes, there is I can give you a prescription to tone down the morning sickness. It won’t make it disappear but it should help on the badness of it” Dr. Minoge addressed “Alright are you two ready to hear the heartbeat?”

“More than ever!” I chimed in embarrassingly

Dr. Minoge and Katie both chuckled as I sat down next to Katie, Dr. Minoge started to apply some sort of jelly like material onto Katies stomach creating goosebumps on Katie's arm, I rubbed my thumb gently as she squeezed tightly “Ready Katie?” She asked

“Ready” Katie breathed looking into my eyes

She pressed the ultrasound monitor against katies stomach guiding it left and right for what seemed like ages till Dr. Minoge let out a smile “Heres the heartbeat” turning up the computer volume

*Boom….boom boom…..boom….boom boom* it went I felt my eyes swell with tears, this what my kid this was my baby this baby was half me and half of Katie all bundled together in one little human

“This is our baby” I cried softly kissing Katies hand looking up tears streamed down her face

“I love you Jamie” She cried “Milky way and back”

“Moon and back baby times 200” I broke with a smile

“Hmm thats weird” Dr. Minoge said with concern, Our heads rose tilted, confused with what she meant “Hold on just a moment” she pressed the ultrasound monitor back on Katies stomach and began to search “Kaite, Jamie?”

“Yes” We both answered scaredly in unison

“There are two heartbeats” Dr. Minoge smiled “You are expecting twins!”
