“Hell yeah! Way to kick some Islander’s ass!” Mady shouted as she ran, followed by Danielle, towards the buss.

“That’s all you care about?!! They nearly left us in here! And you are just all happy that they won?”Danielle snarled as she stomped onto the bus in a huff leaving us all standing in the road.

“Hormones.” Mady stated with a shrug of her shoulders and followed Danielle onto the bus as everyone burst out laughing at her comment.

“Okay everyone on the bus! Seeing as we won we will be staying in a hotel! So off we go!” the bus driver shouted as we all walked towards the bus and towards our seats.

“Even if we lost we’d still be in a hotel Frank.” Max chuckled as he walked onto the bus.

“But at least it makes it seem like the win was worth something.” Frank chatted back as he sat down in his seat to start the bus.

“Hell the points were worth it. We are finally catching up in the standings!” Tyler shouted as everyone returned cheers and howls as we all boarded the bus.

Everyone quickly sat in their seats. Walking back I noticed Mady wasn’t sitting with Danielle anymore, she was practically on top of Jordan in a heated make out session, so I sat down in the empty seat next to her. She sent me a small smile before her gaze went back to the window. We watched the lights of the city go by as we headed towards our hotel. Her head started to droop so I moved over with my arm over her shoulders so her head could rest on my shoulder. Within a matter of minutes she was asleep.

“Hey Hossa! That goal was awesome!” Tanger nearly yelled from his seat in front of me. I quickly put my finger to my lips and nodded my head to Danielle who was still asleep.

“Aw adorable.” He awed before sitting back in his seat.

“Yeah she is…” I whispered before turning my head back towards Brooks and back to our conversation on which was better ESPN or Versus.

“Yeah it was a nice goal.” She spoke as she began to stir.

“Sorry we didn’t mean to wake you.” I spoke as I gently removed my arm from around her as she sat up.

“It’s okay. We are nearly at the hotel anyways.” She said with a smile as she leaned against the window so her body was angled towards me. Her lips moved up into a smirk as her feet flew up into the air to land across my legs.

“Now that’s better. Favorite food.” She asked as she placed her arms behind her head as she rested against the window. I quirked my eyebrow and she just nodded her head telling me to answer the question.

“Pasta. And you comfy?” I asked with a laugh as she lounged across me like it was nothing.

“Nice way to waste your question. Ha-ha” she laughed with a grin spread across her face.

“No way. I was just stating the obvious. A rhetorical question it was.” I laughed back while picking her feet up and dropping them on the floor. She did a pout before muttering an over exaggerated fine before looking at me awaiting my question. I decided to let her squirm so I pretended I didn’t know a question to ask her. She let out a sigh and I knew she was finally close to her breaking point; she is very impatient.

“Where are you from?” I asked finally. She quirked up her eyebrow and laughed as she turned to face me.

“Really? After that long thought process I would have thought it would have been a much harder question.” She laughed a bit at that while I just smiled back. She really was adorable. Funny, great personality, and hell she was hot. Total package.

“Hey I’m a guy. Cut me some slack.” I pleaded with the shrug of my shoulders which made her double over in laughter.

“True. Very true. Well I’m from Pittsburgh. Always have lived here and never really left. It has always been my home and I can’t picture leaving it.” She said in a dreamy voice. I could tell thoughts of her childhood were going through her mind. After a few moments she snapped out of it and we continued our question game of getting to know each other.

“Really? No way that is too cool!” Danielle exclaimed as we walked up the stairs towards the hotel rooms. We had finally arrived and I was honestly exhausted. We had to drive halfway into Pennsylvania before we were allowed to get off the bus to sleep and I could tell all of the guys were thankful.

“Yes really! It’s always outside. You should come sometime.” I said as we stopped outside her door. I gently leaned against the side of the door as she fumbled for her room key.

“Yeah that be nice I’d like that.” She said with a small smile. She finally got her door opened and quietly turned to me. We were so close I couldn’t think straight.

“Well night.” She whispered and turned her face up and quickly placed her lips on my cheek.

“And I thought kisses were only on the first date.” I laughed as gave her a hug pulling her closer to my body.

“They are. That’s a peck. Total difference.” She said with a blush crept across her face.

“Well then we’ll just have to change that. When we get back to Pittsburgh we’ll go out to dinner?” I asked as she began to enter her room.

“Yeah. I’d like that.” She said with a small smile which I returned. She then quietly shut the door and left me grinning like a fool. That will always be the best choice I ever made.
