Of Hearts and Hockey Sticks

~the next morning~
Sid and Kelsi:(eating breakfast)
Beau:(walks downstairs)
Sid:"Morning Sunshine."
Beau:(yawns)"Morning."
Kelsi:"Sleep well?"
Beau:(shrugs)
Kelsi:"Babies keep you up?"
Beau:(yawns)"Little bit, yeah"
Kelsi:"I'm sorry Beau Bear"
Beau:"It's fine."
Kelsi:"Alright...."
Sid:(looks at watch)"Time for me to go to practice (kisses Kelsi) I'll be back in a couple hours."
Kelsi:"(kisses Sid) Alright."
Sid:(walks out the door and goes to practice)
Kelsi:(to Beau)"What do you want for breakfast?"
Beau:"Not hungry."
Kelsi:"Alright. Can you help me put the boys down for a nap?"
Beau:(yawns)"Sure. (Picks up Breckin and Beau)"
Kelsi:"Thanks (picks up Easton and Hunter, walks upstairs to nursery)"
Beau:(follows Kelsi to the nursery)
Kelsi:"They just ate and Sid helped me change them before you got up, so we can just put them in their cribs. (Lays Easton in his crib)"
Beau:(lays Baby Beau in his crib)
Kelsi:(lays Hunter in his crib. Turns on their lullabies)
Beau:(lays Breckin in his crib. Walks out of the room)
Kelsi:(walks out of room and quietly closes door)"You look exhausted, why don't you go back to bed for a little while?"
Beau:(yawns)"I'm fine."
Kelsi:"No, you're not. You honestly look like you're gonna fall asleep on your feet. Please go to sleep."
Beau:(sighs)"Alright (walks into his room)"
Kelsi:(walks downstairs and puts on "Neighbors")
~ 2 hours later~
Sid:(walks into the house)
Kelsi:(sees Sid)"Hi baby, how was practice."
Sid:"Same as always. (Kisses her) where's Sunshine?"
Kelsi:"Sleeping. Sid, he's exhausted. "
Sid:"He's not used to crying children. We've had a couple of weeks to adjust, he's had a day. "
Kelsi:"I know. He'll get used to it eventually, but I feel so bad. "
Sid:"I do too. But there isn't anything we can do about it."
Kelsi:"I know. I'm thinking about going somewhere with the babies, just so he gets some sleep."
Sid:"Alright. Let's go then."
Kelsi:"the babies are still... (Hears Easton cry) Nevermind. (Goes upstairs with Sid behind her)
~3 hours later~
Sid/Kelsi:(walk in carrying the babies)
Beau:(watching a movie)"Where'd you guys go?"
Kelsi:"Grocery shopping."
Sid:"We figured we'd get the kids out of the house, you needed sleep Sunshine."
Beau:(guilty)"It's your house. You shouldn't have had to leave."
Sid:"Sunshine, it's okay. We needed food anyway. Plus, we've told you a hundred times that it's your house too"
Beau:(sighs)"Well thanks I guess."
Kelsi:"You're welcome."
