Love that We Deserve
III-Goodbye
~ Sacrificing your happiness for the happiness of the one you love, is by far, the truest type of love. ~
Tyler laid facing up on his hotel bed. It was one in the morning and he was restless. Only a couple more days and then he would be in the comfort of his own home. The Stars had a celebration by going out for dinner and having drinks together and Tyler was ecstatic. He just kept on replaying the night over and over, his goal, Peverley’s goal, and finally the feeling of the win. Tyler sat up on the edge of the bed and grabbed his phone from the night stand. Tyler went to the dial screen and looked at it, trying to remember the numbers that he would dial to reach Magdalena. After he moved to Dallas he had deleted her number, the last step in completely removing her from his life. He had already unfriended and unfollowed her on every social site, but he couldn’t get around to finally deleting the contact “Magpie” from his phone and once he did her number was still imprinted in his mind, well for a while it was. A few months had gone by and Tyler began to progressively forget about Magdalena’s significance in his life. He struggled to remember but decided to take a chance and dial whatever numbers he thought of in hopes that he would hear her sweet innocent voice on the other line. The phone rang three times and it went to voicemail.
‘You’ve reached Steve Zane leave a message after the-” Tyler ended the call, not Magdalena. Tyler dialed a number similar to the one before but the numbers arranged a bit differently.
“The verizon cust-” Nope, Magdalena wasn’t with verizon. Tyler knew that. Tyler attempted multiple times to get her number, and hour had passed by and he tried once more, he was tired but determined.
“Hello?” Tyler’s heart stopped at the sound of the tired feminine voice on the other line. He stayed quiet and gulped. He didn’t think he would actually find her. He ran his fingers through his hair thinking of what to say.
“...I need you...Magdalena, I need you.” Tyler finally spoke his voice cracking as all the bottled up emotions were finally springing free.
Magdalena on the other line had been watching a movie on Netflix in her bed and noticed a familiar number call but she couldn’t pin-point the person that the number belonged to. She picked up and for a few moments there was no response after she answered.
“....Magdalena, I need you” Is what she heard and at the moment she knew it was Tyler. He seldom ever called her ‘Magdalena’ and it stunned her.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I take it all back, everything I said, everything I did to hurt you, I’m sorry. I hate the way we left things and it’s haunting me Meg. I hate myself for how I treated you, I didn’t know what I had, Magdalena, I didn't know. I caused you so much pain Magdalena and knowing that you were in pain hurt me too. Please forgive me. Magdalena I just need you, I need you in my life, by my side...Meg I never want to hurt you again,”
She had almost dropped her phone at that instant but she didn’t say a word. It took her a couple seconds to realize that she wasn’t even breathing and she exhaled loudly.
“Meg?” Tyler’s voice croaked. Magdalena looked up at the dark ceiling and trying to hold herself together. Just hearing his voice just tore her apart.
“Meg, I know you’re there, please say something,” Tyler said hopelessly. Magdalena opened her mouth ready to say something but she changed her mind, she was speechless.
“...please…” This time Magdalena could hear the emotion in his voice. Magdalena had been a fool for Tyler, and she found herself asking herself if it was worth it?
Tyler clenched his jaw, fighting back the tears. But his eyes were welled up and he couldn’t help the few tears that streamed down his face. He wiped them with his arm and sniffed his runny nose. The silence on the other line confirmed two things:
Magdalena had heard everything.
Magdalena was still listening; she hadn’t hung up.
So there they sat, in the silence. Magdalena hadn’t said a word, and Tyler waited for her. He wasn’t going to hang up. And Magdalena didn’t want to hang up.
“Remember when you first got Marshall and he peed on the floor and I didn’t know and I was going to show you my one handed cartwheel but I slipped in his pee and broke my collarbone?” Magdalena said after several minutes. Tyler’s heavy eyelids opened up and he let out a laugh and a sniffle. A smile grew on his face at the memory that Magdalena had just shared.
“Yeah, haha, I remember, you never forgave Marshall for that one” Tyler chuckled as he wiped a tear. He truly, deeply, missed her. Magdalena smiled when she heard his laugh, she too missed him.
“Oh and that one time we went out and you blacked out and knocked out cold on the concrete, that was hilarious”
“I felt that one in the morning..” Tyler said as he rubbed his head, remembering the headache he had. “How about when you got that concussion, we asked you what day it was and what was it that you said..”
“The twentieth of eleven” Magdalena giggled. Tyler laughed too and his mood began to lighten up. “Let’s not forget how I get that concussion!” Magdalena said.
“It would’ve been a cool trick if you didn’t laugh so much!” Tyler smiled, he loved whatever it is that they were doing, he was just glad that he got to speak with Magdalena.
*********************
“Are you recording?” Tyler asked as he held tightly on Magdalenas hips.
“Yeah! Do it!” Tyler Brown said as he held his phone up in the direction of Tyler and Magdalena. Magdalena was laughing as Tyler skated closer towards her. They were out on the local pond in Tyler’s hometown Brampton, Ontario. Tyler convinced Magdalena into letting him do a lift with her on the ice and get her to exclaim ‘I Believe I can Flyyy’ as he held her up. They thought it would be cool. Tyler’s grip on Magdalena tightened a bit more and he gave her a look of assurance. He lifted her up in the air and all of his friends began to cheer at the cool trick he had done. Magdalena was laughing hysterically and moving a lot which cause Tyler’s grip on her to loosen and she began to fall. Tyler slipped under her and broke her fall, except her head hit the ice.
“Oh shit!” Tyler said as he flipped over and noticed her rolled over next to him at this point. He panicked and rolled her over. Magdalena had a pained look on her face and a small scratch on her chin.
“Ow!” She said as she rubbed the side of her head with her mitten covered hand. Tyler’s friends, Tyler Brown, Jordy and Jesse skated over and surrounded Tyler and Magdalena.
“You dumbass, this would happen!” Jordy said as he shoved Tyler.
“Shut up! She’s fine see?” Tyler said as he helped Magdalena get back up on her skates. She groaned, with her hand still on her head.
“Yo bro there’s blood” Tyler [Brown] said as he skated back to make room for everyone else to see.
“Meg, are you okay?” Tyler said holding Magdalena in place. Her eyes were squinty and she wouldn’t stop moving. Tyler placed his hand behind Magdalenas head and felt blood. “Fuck, we need to get you to a hospital” Tyler said. The four boys removed their skates and Tyler took care of Magdalena.
“How many fingers am I holding up?” Jesse said as he held up two fingers, Jordy and Brown laughed at his stupid joke. Tyler was driving and tried to hold back the laughter. Magdalena was slightly groggy and confused.
“Two.” Magdalena said aggravated at how close the boys were to her face.
“Whats your name?” Jordy joked.
“No, no what’s the date?” Tyler decided to pitch in on the fun.
“Okay you guys, I just hit my head a little! I’m not stupid, its the twentieth of eleven” Magdalena said sternly and seriously. The boys all burst into laughter at how she was so serious and yet said something so ridiculous.
*********************
Magdalena’s cheeks began to start hurting from all the smiling and laughing she had been doing the past half hour.
“Maggie! shut up!” Jen called from her room.
“Wait..was that Jen?” Tyler asked as he heard Jens faint voice on the other line.
“Mhm” Magdalena said as she set her laptop on the ground and pulled her knees up to her chest. She had forgotten how bitter Jen was about Tyler.
“Oh tell my best friend I say hi,” Tyler said facetiously. He knew Jen despised him but he always poked fun at her, but she had every reason to dislike him and he was fully aware of that now. He was a jerk.
“Oh yeah will do! I’m sure she’ll be glad to hear that” Magdalena laughed.
“Maggie shut the FUCK up!” Jen’s voice boomed in their townhouse. Magdalena snickered.
Tyler inhaled loudly as he took in a deep breath. Hearing Magdalena laughing felt so good, it reminded him of how well off their friendship was. Friendship, he thought to himself, they had always just been close friends, but he wanted more. He always wanted more than a friendship but he never had the balls to admit it to himself.
“I think I have to go Ty..” Magdalena whispered, her voice was soft. She bit her lip hoping that Tyler would insist that they continue the conversation.
“Oh why!?” Tyler said getting upset that their little moment was coming to end.
“It’s like three in the morning!! I have a flight to catch in a couple hours!”
“Yeah, so do I.. that doesn’t mean we should end the conversation so soon…” Tyler whined. “So where are you going?”
Magdalena sighed at the question, she was going to New York City for a test shoot, something she had been anticipating for a long time. After her first year at Boston University Magdalena had taken a part time job modelling for ad’s for the city of Boston, as well as candid photos for applications [apps]. She made little money but she found an interest in it and decided that she wanted to pursue Modelling. She had put off school and had received multiple opportunities across the country as well as some in Europe. The one that meant the most to her was the one in NYC; Next New York modelling agency had given her an offer, and they guaranteed a place to stay and transportation, as long as she modelled with them, in New York. It could have been her big break and it would have looked great in her portfolio. But Tyler didn’t want her to leave Boston, he wouldn’t be able to see her as much, and it caused a huge conflict between the two of them and it reached a resolution when Magdalena decided not to go and passed up a huge opportunity. Now, a year later, Trump Management had given her an offer she couldn’t refuse and she was hopping on the plane to live there for two months on a short contract that she had already signed.
“New York,” Magdalena said as she fiddled with the sheets on her bed. Her tone had become more serious.
“Oh,” Tyler said quietly.
“A huge Modelling Agency is giving me a shot and I’m-”
“Going to move there?” Tyler asked almost choking on his own words.
“Mhm,” Magdalena nodded, she could tell that Tyler wasn’t too happy with her going to New York, even though he was in Dallas. What difference would it have made anyway?
“Is Dougie cool with that?” Tyler asked assuming that Dougie’s reaction was similar to his own a year ago when he found out Magdalena wanted to move to NYC.
“Yeah, he’s super happy for me actually!”
“Oh..” Tyler said as he sat up and threw a pillow to the wall, frustrated. There was a long pause on the phone.
“Well, I’m going to get back to bed, have a safe flight Tyler, goodnight” Magdalena said.
“You too Meg” Tyler said and then there was complete and utter silence. Tyler pulled his phone away from his ear and looked at the screen.
“Call Ended”
It was a short conversation but Tyler was satisfied, minus the whole New York thing. He didn’t know if he was happy for her or if he was upset that she was leaving. Was it selfish? Was it selfish that he didn’t want her to belong to anyone else but him? ..that he didn’t want her to move to New York, or anywhere for that matter, he just wanted her in his arms? Was it wrong to feel this way?
Dougie took Magdalena out for breakfast before Magdalena had to catch her flight. Dougie and the Bruins were going to have four more home games. This was going the last time they’d see each other for the next two weeks until The Bruins game against the New York Rangers. Magdalena placed her menu down and looked at Dougie, she knew she’d hurt him last night when he asked if she was over Tyler or not.
“Think I’ll like New York?” She asked causing Dougie to peer over his menu and his blue eyes were dull. Dougie set his menu down and grabbed Magdalenas hand and leaned in closer to her.
“I think you’ll love it, you deserve it.” He said as he gave her a kiss. Magdalena gave Dougie a confused look, she expected him to mention what happened the previous night but he made it seem like it never happened. Guess he was over it.
“Look about what you asked me last night. It wasn’t Tyler, I just didn’t want to get too carried away. I was drunk, you were drunk, I just didn’t want my first time to be a drunken mess, you know?” Magdalena said, not only lying to Dougie, but to herself. Tyler definitely had something to do with why they stopped last night, not just her first time.. Dougie’s eyes widened and he almost spit out the orange juice he was drinking.
“Your first time?” Dougie was taken aback. Magdalena smirked as this was always the reaction she’d gotten when boys found out she was still a virgin. “You mean..you haven't..?” Dougie started to get awkward and fidgety. Magdalena nodded assuring him and trying to make things less awkward.
“Do you get why I stopped now?” She pouted. Dougie laughed in shock and scratched his head.
“I didn’t know, wow. I’ll be more careful next time, I wouldn't want your first time to suck” He chuckled as he gave her a wink. Magdalena smiled and happily picked up her menu and went straight to the waffle section.
After Dougie and Magdalena finished their breakfast he dropped her off at her home and gave her a kiss. Magdalena walked into the door and was surprised to see her home decorated with balloons and a banner that read “We’ll Miss you Maggie”. Tears started to form in Magdalenas eyes when she watch Jen and Rachel walk over to her and hugged her.
“I can’t believe you’re really leaving,” Jen murmured into Maggies shoulder with a sniffle.
“It’s not going to be the same Maggie,” Rachel cried out.
Hearing her two best friends cry on her shoulder only made the leave harder than it already was. She knew it was going to be hard to go, but this moment made it all feel too real. All three of the friends sniffled as they parted and Jen and Rachel led Magdalena over to their kitchen where they had a ton of baked goodies and a basket made for her.
“We made you cookies, cupcakes and brownies!” Rachel squealed.
“And this amazing basket! It has everything you’ll need for New York!” Jen said as she handed Magdalena the basket.
“Thank you guys, oh my God you didn’t have to!” Magdalena laughed as tears continued to stream down her face. It was a mix of emotions, happy and sad.
“Oh and one more thing” Rachel said as she grabbed a clear jar filled with coloured paper and handed it to Magdalena.
“It’s a jar filled with ‘Open when’ letters” Rachel said, getting more teary eyed than before. Magdalena laughed at her goofy friends and took them in for another hug. Two months started to sound like a longer time than ever at this point.
“We have on you’re supposed to open now though, so here you go” Jen said handing Magdalena a deep red envelop that read:
“Open Now"
Magdalena cupped her mouth, she set the jar down on the counter and grabbed the envelope and opened it, with her shaky hands.
‘Dear Magdalena,
Going to New York city is both awesome and sad! Awesome because you’ll be living the dream! But sad because we won’t get to live the dream with you over there. We just wanted to let you know that we are so proud of you and can only wish you the best of luck with all your photoshoots and opportunities, and that we love you so much. We’re probably all crying right now but know that they are happy tears because our dearest friend is reaching her goal. Magdalena you are the most honest, funniest, most amazing friend we both know. Don’t even change and don’t forget it.
We love you Maggie
Rachel and Jen (YOUR BEST FRIENDS)
PS: YOU’LL NEVER FIND SOMEONE AS AWESOME AS WE ARE
PPS: we’ll never find someone as awesome and amazing as you are’
Magdalena folded the paper back and hugged her friends once again still crying. The past 3 days had been so hard for her, first Tyler, and now this goodbye. Magdalenas phone began to vibrate and her alarm was going off. She pulled away from her friends and pulled her phone out from her cardigan pocket.
“You guys I really need to get going to the airport” Magdalena laughed as she began to gather her gifts. Jen and Rachel rushed off to grab their jackets and helped Magdalena load Jen’s car. Jen drove Magdalena to the airport where they finally gave each other another emotional hug and said their last goodbyes. Jen and Rachel waved to Magdalena as she disappeared off into security at the airport.
The drive home with Jen and Rachel was quiet; they had a lot running through their minds now that someone that they had spent all of middle school, high school, and the past 3 years together was going to be away from them for three months. It was a lot for both of them to take in, but they had eachother.
“Do you think she’ll love it and move there forever?” Rachel said as she finally took a seat on their couch and checked her phone for notifications. Jen sat down on the one seater and threw her legs over the arm of the chair and sighed.
“Sure hope not, I’ll miss her too much!” Jen laughed. “I’m just glad she finally got another chance to model there”
“Yeah after last time” Rachel rolled her eyes remembering how it played out for Magdalena the last time an agency from New York reached out to her.
“Speaking of ‘last time’...Remember the other night when Maggie was crying?”
“Yeah? I never even got around to asking her about it, schools been tough as shit”
“I spoke to her..” Jen paused. “Tyler was in Boston that night,”
“What!?” Rachel exclaimed as she sat up. “What happened?”
“I’m not too sure, I didn’t ask.” Jen said rolling her eyes. Rachel’s eyes shifted to the floor and began to tug at the carpet with her toes.
“...I always kind of hoped he’d come back and sweep her off her feet or something,” Rachel muttered. Jen shot a glare at Rachel and shook her head in disbelief.
“Why? He’s an asshole, when I heard about the trade I hoped it was a shitty team like the Oilers or something,” Jen smirked.
“I dunno, Maggie just really liked him and I guess I always wanted them to be together. Just sucks that it never worked out that way...Why do you hate him so much anyway? Besides the whole Maggie thing, what did he ever do to you?”
“Everything Rach, he sleeps around and thinks he’s some hotshot and then he runs back to Magdalena and plays her like she’s stupid or something, I saw through him every time.”
“Yeah but what do you personally have against Tyler, what did he do to you?”
“Rachel?! I think hurting our best friend is enough for me to hate him. It’s that simple” Jen hissed at Rachels remark. “You weren’t there for all the times that Maggie would just break down, he tore her to shreds. Rachel how many times did we have to help her get over that asshole huh? How many fucking times, I’m so sick of him and hearing his annoying ass name. He’s a terrible person.”
Rachel pushed her lips to the side and began to think to herself. She inhaled loudly and let out a sigh.
“You’re right about me not being there for all the times, but come on... you can’t tell me that they would have been perfect for eachother. They would have been so cute!” Rachel said as she swooned at the thought. Jen scoffed at Rachel and walked over to the kitchen, annoyed. Rachel rolled her eyes and laid back down on the couch.
Rachel was in her third year of law school at Harvard and rarely got to witness the way Tyler treated Magdalena. She only knew that Magdalena was madly in love with this boy and Rachel only wanted what was best for her friend.
*********************
“Jen why don’t you mind your own business? I can take care of my shit with Meg on my own” Tyler slurred, his breath reeked of alcohol.
“Will it ever stop Tyler? She’s CRYING in there for God’s sake! I’m surprised she still has tears from all the crying she’s done since she met you. Just stop while it’s already heading down a bad road. Give her a break she deserves better than you hurting her every time,” Jen stood her ground defender her friend who was emotionally distraught. Jen didn’t get why Magdalena always ran to Tyler for everything. Jen was her best friend, not Tyler.
“Let me talk to her, I want to talk to her” Tyler began to raise his voice hoping that Magdalena would hear. Jen shoved Tyler and luckily because of his drunken state he fell back.
Pathetic. Jen thought as she watched Tyler stumble.
“MEG!!!” Tyler called out hopelessly and desperately.
“Tyler get out.” Jen demanded, exasperated at this point at the man calling out for her friend. She didn’t feel any pity for him. Both Jen and Tyler were surprised to hear the click of the bathroom door unlock and see Magdalena step out. Jen smiled awaiting the hug that she expected but was saddened when Magdalena bent down and clutched onto Tyler. Jen scoffed and stormed into her bedroom. Magdalena had chosen a boy over their friendship, it bothered Jen greatly. Tyler was never there for her, she [Jen] always was, it wasn’t fair.
**************
Magdalena finally made it to the apartment that she was going to be living in, that was a few minutes away from central New York City. She was being escorted to the room by one of the models. She was thin and tall, she had dark flawless skin and the way she strolled through the halls made Magdalena jealous. Her name was Nadia, she was very intimidating but had the most welcoming smile once she flashed it.
“Here’s our room, 139!” She skipped and opened the door to an apartment with large arched windows. Magdalena smiled at the idea that she was going to live here for a while. She noticed a bunch of people already sitting in the living room watching something and there was also music blasting.
“Hey newbies here!” Nadia called out as she hung the keys on the key holder. The other models looked over and stood up and a roar of hi’s burst out. There were seven other people who lived in the apartment. Steven, who had beautiful green eyes, Caro (short for Caroline), a beautiful blonde with big deep brown eyes, Carly who had dark hair and a nice smile, Nico who had amazing facial features, Angela who had thick brown hair, Nadia who Magdalena had already met, Mary-mae who they called ‘Goldilocks” because she literally had gold hair, and Selita who was a tanned beauty with beautiful freckles and long eyelashes. Everyone there was so perfect and friendly, Magdalena already felt at home. Magdalena got to room with Mary-mae and Selita in a small bedroom.
“We should get a bunk bed!” Mary-mae suggested as Magdalena set her bags down on her new bed.
“That is probably the best thing you’ve come up with Mary-mae” Selita chuckled.
“Let’s do it, just like step brothers!” Mary-mae joked as she plopped down on her bed. Magdalena laughed as she laid down on the bed, this was going to be fun.
The first two weeks in NYC flew by like a breeze and Magdalena was really enjoying her self. She was always busy on her feet at test shoots, little get togethers, or at clubs with her roommates. On nights that they didn’t have to be anywhere they would head to the rooftop of the building and hangout, it was a different lifestyle and Magdalena loved it.
Magdalena’s phone buzzed and she groaned as the sunlight ray hit her right in the eyes. Magdalena reached over and answered.
“Hey babe! We just landed in New York!” Dougie’s voice came out from the other line. Magdalena sat up quickly and squealed to herself, it had been a while since she’d seen him.
“Oh my gosh really?! Where are you guys staying?” She asked practically jumping on her bed in excitement.
“Hampton Inn, where are you I want to see you!”
“I live near central! I can’t let you in the apartment though, company rules” Magdalena sighed.
“Oh, can we meet somewhere?”
“Yes of course!” Magdalena squealed as she began to think of a place to go. She decided that to take Dougie to Central New York and thats where they spent the afternoon. Dougie’s game was at seven so they had to part around five and he had given her three tickets to the game. Magdalena ended up taking Selita and Mary-mae to the game that night where the Bruins won the game 2-1. They all ended up going to dinner and Magdalena introduced Selita and Mary-mae to the other players on the team. And that was it. The last time Magdalena would see Dougie until January, when her contract was up.
The past two weeks for Tyler went by well too, the Stars had played five games and only lost one, against the Blackhawks. The Stars were on a two day break until their next game against the Rangers at home, in Dallas.
“Should we just order some Dominos, I’m too lazy to grill anything,” Tyler said as he stood up.
“You’re not even the one grilling?!” Jamie chuckled as he pulled out the hamburger meat from the freezer and placed it next to the steaks on the kitchen counter.
“I still want pizza” Tyler laughed as he sat on the barstool.
“Just call up some people we’ll have a barbeque” Jamie suggested. Tyler shrugged and started to look through his contacts to see who he wanted to see. He definitely wanted some women to be there.
“Should I invite Ali?”
“Yeah dude she’s not bad, she has a thing for you too” Jamie winked as he leaned on the counter on his elbows across from Tyler and began to search through his own contacts to see who he should invite. Tyler stopped a long his contacts when he reached Magdalenas number that he had saved. Tyler’s eyes became heavy as his heart saddened. Tyler didn’t just want to let go of Magdalena without a fight.
“One sec,” Tyler said as he called Magdalena and stepped outside onto his deck.
“Hello?” Magdalena answered.
“Hey Meg,” Tyler smiled while he looked down at his feet. The suns light was bright on this November afternoon in Dallas.
“Tyler?” Magdalena asked, somewhat confused.
“Yeah, you don’t have my number?” Tyler laughed as his eyes squinted as he looked around.
“I forgot to save it,”
“Make sure you do that now” Tyler chuckled, realizing he had just put Magdalena in an awkward situation.
“Yeah I will, don’t worry” Magdalena replied. “What’s up?”
“Just hangin out soaking the sun in,”
“Are you tanning?” Magdalena giggled, she knew Tyler hardly ever got a tan.
“Not that I know of” Tyler smiled as he looked at his tattooed, but pale arms. “How’s New York?”
“It’s super fun, I’m kind of jealous of the weather down in Dallas though, it’s getting pretty cold out here”
“Yeah it gets pretty cold here too..” Tyler murmured just loud enough for her to hear. Tyler didn’t mean the weather, he missed Magdalena. Magdalena only laughed quietly on the other line, but didn’t say a word.
“Are you ever going to visit me in Dallas?” Tyler spoke confidently.
“Uh-” Magdalena said and then Tyler could only hear a muffle of different voices before Magdalena said another word.
“I’m really busy right now, Ty, I have to go, bye” And then she hung up. Tyler’s shoulders dropped, he realized whatever kind of attempt he had made to speak with Magdalena had been pathetic and he kicked the dog toy that was on the deck floor to the side. He went back inside and noticed Jamie putting on an apron.
“Chef Benn in the house?” Tyler smirked laughing at Jamie.
“Hey, hey, this is a craft” Jamie said in some sort of accent which caused Tyler to chuckle to himself, somewhat taking his mind off of Magdalena. Marshall came running towards Tyler and Tyler bent over and began to pet him.
“When’s Jordie coming?”
“He said he was on his way, so soon I hope” Jamie replied.
“Sounds good,” Tyler said. Tyler went back to his television and turned his brand new Play Station 4 on and began playing some NHL 14.
Magdalena was flabbergasted that she had received yet another phone call from Tyler, and to top it off he told her to save his number. Was this is his way of getting back into her life? Five months. Five months of not seeing each other, no speaking to each other, five months that Magdalena had taken to almost completely get over Tyler, and right when she about to get over him he made his way back into her life. She thought about what he had said the last time they spoke, how he needed her. She furrowed her eyebrows in frustration and confusion, how did she really feel about Dougie? Was he just a rebound? A way for her to repress her feelings about Tyler? Was she using Dougie..She liked Dougie, but she didn’t see their relationship going very far. It wasn’t fair, it just wasn’t fair that Tyler could just walk away from her and come back whenever he wanted.
“Alright, I want the next couple shots to be more dark, mysterious, like you’ve got a deep dark secret” The designer said breaking Magdalenas train of thought. Magdalena lifted her head and her entire demeanor had changed.
“Perfect” The designer said in awe as he peered over to the screen and examined the photograph.
Notes
Chapter Three :) I have a question for everyone who reads this:I have written sort of like a prequel for this story. It's short, it has some significant events that happened between Magdalena and Tyler. Would it be better if I made a separate story on here like an actual 'Prequel', or just to add them into this story as a memory (they would have to be a full chapter)?
I hope everyone is enjoying the story. The next chapter will reveal what exactly happened between Tyler and Magdalena that caused them to part ways.
Thanks for reading!
