“So Tyler,” my voice broke the silence as we sat on his couch. I was tucked under his arm, my head on his shoulder as he ran his hand though my hair and we watched the highlights from the other games played tonight. “Were you serious about going to London for our ‘honeymoon’?” I bite back a smile because wasn’t it usually the girl that brought up the whole marriage thing and here he was talking about our honeymoon in the locker room.
“Not necessarily,” Tyler adjusted himself on the couch so that he could look at me. “We can go anywhere you want to go.”
“Tyler, that’s not what I meant,” I swallowed the lump in my throat as I pulled away, his hand slipping down to my waist. “I mean… have you thought about this before.”
He shrugged, a slight blush creeping up his neck to his cheeks. “Only with you,” he exhaled, “haven’t you?”
“Not really,” I admitted as I tucked my legs under me so that I was facing him.
He looked at me as if a grown three heads, “so you’re going to tell me that you don’t have a journal or binder, or something lying around with a billion wedding ideas and all that crap.”
I shrugged as I propped my elbow on the back of the couch and rested my head in my hand, “I mean I took a class my sophomore year of college that talked about marriage and all that stuff and we did make journals, but I haven’t really looked at it since then. My career, being able to support myself was always more important to me than marriage or even dating for that matter.”
“Well now that you have a job and are done with school…”
I cut him off with a laugh, “why don’t we finish this conversation in two years.”
With a raise of his dark eyebrow he questioned, “Two years?”
“Yea, if there is one thing I have learned in that family and marriage class it’s that it takes about two years to fully get to know someone, plus I might be ready to get married by then, after the excitement of all this wears off.”
“Two years, sounds fair enough.” He shrugged as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me back to him as he causally changed the subject. “So you can speak French?”

I yawned into Tyler’s shoulder as the recap from the Capitals/Jets came to an end and I looked at my phone. It was 1 in the morning, no wonder why I was tired.
“Tired,” he asked and I only nodded as I pushed myself out from under his arm. “You know you can stay if you want.”
“Tyler,” I shook my head as I stretched my arms over my head with another yawn. “Not tonight.”
He gave a long dramatic sigh, I knew he was only half joking, as he laid his head down on his arm that rested on the back of the couch. “I promise to tell the guys that nothing happened, even though they probably won’t believe it, but…”
“Tyler,” I cut him off with a laugh and I looked into his brown eyes. “It’s not just that.”
“Well we don’t even have to sleep in the same bed if that’s what you’re worried about; I have plenty of guess rooms you can sleep in.”
“Tyler,” I shook my head once again with a laugh. I didn’t mean to, but he just sounded so desperate and it was kind of cute. “I don’t have any of my stuff here and,” I raised my hand, as he went to open his mouth, “I’m just not ready yet.”
He gave me a little nod of his head. “One of these days I will get you to stay.”
“One day maybe, but that day is not today.” A playful smile danced across my lips as I leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his lips. As I pulled away I seen a smile creep to his lips, and he wrapped a hand around the nape of my neck pulling me back to him. I gave in as my eyes closed, and let him wrap his arm around me as my hands rested lightly on his chest. I giggled as his fingers trailed the waist band of my shorts and I pushed him off of me. “I’ll see you tomorrow,” I told him as I stood up and his lips turned down into a pout.
