A Second Chance at Love

Claude and Megan were in the kitchen when we went downstairs. It was fairly early still and they were making popcorn for a movie. "Seriously you two should be happy it isn't possible to get more pregnant. Rainy would be like the Octomom." Claude chuckled.

I just shrugged my shoulders and laughed. "I can't help if I have a healthy sexual appetite." I said causing Danny to grin. We hung out with them for awhile before going back upstairs to get some sleep. As I was starting to drift off, he slid the ring back on my finger. I mumbled the word "yes" as my eyes started to close

Getting to the airport with four boys and two men who act like boys was a major undertaking. Danny and Claude might has well have been ten years old. They argued over everything. Seating arrangements, boarding passes and breakfast all got yelled about. I had to laugh at them two. The kids were actually behaving themselves. I have never been so happy to get on a plane in my life. We split up the boys, taking Cam and Ryan with us and sending Caelan and Carson with Claude.

The flight there was uneventful and we even ended up sleeping a little. We landed and took a cab to the hotel. Maman and Danielle were already there, waiting for us. They drove in this morning. Maman gave me a huge hug and told me she was happy I was there. We checked in and headed up to our rooms.

Mike called us about an hour later. He had just landed about twenty minutes ago with Jeff and Pam. They wanted us to meet them for lunch. We made reservations and one of the restaurant inside the hotel. I jumped in the shower and put on makeup. The ring he had given back to me glinted in the sunlight coming from the skylights. I smiled at it. Our relationship had held up through a rough time. I prayed it could withstand the eternity that was the promise of the ring.

We met Mike, Pam and Jeff at the restaurant. After giving them hugs, we went in and got seated. The kids were extra rowdy, especially because Jeff was there. He was like the bad uncle that always bought them stuff we wouldn't but them and got them all crazy before dropping them off at the house. Jeff and Cam were currently flinging cherry tomatoes at each other.

The restaurant started to fill up and I recognized some people. Ryan Miller stopped by the table to say hi to Danny. Next through was Sid and Evgeni. Ryan seen Sid and ran to give him a hug. I got up and gave both of them kisses. I was a little pissed off at Geno still but I would get over it. Sid gave me a big hug and asked how I was feeling. "Honestly, I feel huge, can't wait to have them." He just laughed and went to sit down at his table.

I sat back down to eat. Danny pulled me closer to him and I quickly noticed why. Eric and Jordan had came through the door. Eric waved, but Jordan kept his head down. I wasn't worried, I knew Eric and Marc would keep him in check.

Ovechkin and Semin walked in not long after. Ryan let out a squeal. He pulled Danny by the hand. "Puhlease take me over there." he whined.

I just shook my head. "Seriously Ry, we are supposed to be Flyers fans." The entire table cracked up. Maman was busy at the other end of the table discussing planning weddings with Pam. I was trying to ignore them because I knew it involved me and my lack thereof of any kinds of plans. Danielle had been texting on her phone since we walked in. I leaned over and seen the name Andrej pop up. "Oh we so need to talk dear." I said to her and smirked.

"Ughh please don't mention it to Danny." I just laughed at her and reassured her I wouldn't.
