Intrigue

Our first stop was a bar that was filled with scantily clad females. We popped bottles of champagne open and Duncan and Sharpy led us in a toast to a night all in good fun and a prayer that Kaner didn’t get arrested.

Several cab jokes were thrown around. I had to laugh as Jon approached me. He looked like a ten year old kid, drunk from a few glasses of champagne and smoking a Cuban. I took a ton of pictures. Bribery material at its best. Duncan threw his arm around me, “Bro I am so excited for you. You really have met a good girl. She’s a good mom and she takes care of you.”

I was thrilled the guys liked her as much as they did. It made it a little easier on me. I didn’t have to separate home and work completely. After the bar, we hit the club in full force. We were there for about two hours when all hell broke loose. A guy walking by Adam Burish called him a douche. He went nuts, one punch was thrown and the guy hit the floor. The bouncer went after Adam and it started a huge fight, me carrying Jon out after he got smacked in the head with a barstool.

“Thank god no one got arrested. Can you imagine me having to call Alex and explain she needed to come bail us out and defend us?” Jon and I were sitting on the balcony of the hotel, my brother Keith, Duncan and Sharpy with us, drinking champagne right from the bottle, giggling like school girls.

The night had ended early, yet we were still having a blast, bombed and gossiping. “Dude, you two are like freaking Dads. I can’t believe it.” Duncan said, looking at me and Pat.

He grinned then continued on. “I met this nice girl Kelly recently. I think it is about time I settle down guys." We cheered like idiots and Jon stood up.

“I know I’m berry drunk now, but I am a lover guys, not a fighter. I got it bad tonight. You guys suck. Aren’t you supposed to fight for me?” We cracked up. “And guys, I love Ava, I haven’t told her yet, I think I just figured it out.” He said, then promptly puked in the flower pot in the corner.

“I miss Bella guys. Her and Abs are my whole world. I’m ready to go home.” Pat said and he looked rather homesick.

My brother chimed in. “I can’t believe you are getting married bro. She’s a babe though.”

I stood up. “You guys are the best friends a guy could ask for” We toasted a few times, then went inside and crashed.

I woke up several hours later with my head on Duncan’s lap, a flash going off in my face. I chased Steeger down the hall. “Kris I will kill you for that.” I woke up most of our party for our last breakfast before everyone was flying home. Some of the guys yelled for a speech and I obliged.

“So thank you all for coming. It has been a crazy weekend to say the least. No one got arrested which is nice. I’m happy to be going home to my soon to be wife and baby girl. I will see you all next weekend to help us celebrate. Now behave, and sleep off your hangovers on the way home. Keith and I said goodbye, packed up and headed for the airport.

My dad picked us up at the airport, letting us know Alex was already home, playing with Madi. I was excited. I hated being away from her like this, even though it was fun. We pulled up to my mom and dad’s house and she came running out, right into my waiting arms. “Hi love, I missed you like crazy. Where is our daughter?” I asked and we made our way inside where Madi was all too happy to see me.

“Daddy”, she screeched. Loud as could be and gripped onto me.

“Well someone missed you.” Alex said as she grabbed a cup of coffee from the kitchen. We spent the rest of the night playing with Madi.

The minute she went to sleep we snuck into my bedroom and started to undress. Madi started crying and I groaned. “I’ll be back. Stay just like that. She was currently half naked, sitting on my desk. I rocked her back to sleep and rushed back into my room, only to find Alex had fallen asleep, wrapped in my childhood blanket. I kissed her on the forehead and slid into bed next to her. I hoped this week would go quick and we wouldn’t go crazy with the wedding plans.

She had a million things to do concerning the wedding today. I had one, she didn’t know it, but I had purchased a house about two miles from where my parents lived. I figured it would give us more privacy, plus when the next baby was born we would need the room. I needed to meet the Realtor and finish signing all of the paperwork. I didn’t want to show her it until we came back from our honeymoon. We had shortened it to four nights, Alex contending she didn’t want to be away from Madi any longer. It didn’t matter to me. I just wanted to be close to her.

My mom and Alex went crazy over wedding plans while us guys watched Madi and relaxed. We all thought the women were crazy. I heard Alex use her “lawyer voice” more than once when talking to vendors and it made me laugh. “You are hot when you are arguing babe.” She just grinned at me.

“Stop trying to get some, I don’t have time.” I just groaned.

“Come on Alex, I may die, it’s been over a week.” She gave me a wicked grin.

“Meet me in the car in an hour. Don’t be late.” She winked and walked away, me gaze following her backside with every move. It had been far too long.

Fifty-nine minutes and counting. It was fifty degrees out and I had shorts and a t-shirt on. She was already sitting in the car, in a long coat which I had a feeling nothing was underneath. I drove a few minutes away from the house, stopping in a wooded area not frequented by cars. She opened the door sat on the hood of the car. Her evil smile told me I was in for it.

It didn’t take long before I was untying the coat and admiring her body. She was driving me crazy kissing my neck as I ran my fingers up and down her sides. I slid the shorts I had down and had her slide her body closer to me. She was loud, and the thrill of getting caught was such a turn on. We finished quickly as I whispered “I love you” in her ear.

We drove back home and she got back to her wedding craziness. I went and laid in bed, nervous and excited for the weekend to come.
