Alexa's POV

I felt lips pressed on my forehead and I jumped up, causing Mike to yelp. “Good job Alex, you don’t want me to have a fat lip for pictures do you. Come on pumpkin, little mama is up and some of the girls are starting to arrive.” I raised my eyebrows at him. He was always so bubbly. “And you should see my tux darling, it is absolutely killer. I might look as good as you.” I just shook my head. He was hysterical.

Madi came running into my arms and gave me a big, sloppy milk kiss. “Mommy, pretty” she said, pointing to the dresses hanging from the hotel suite’s closet. Abby had just shown up, looking voluptuous as ever in a dress. “Did your boobs grow?” I asked her and she gave me a small smile.

“Keep it quiet, he hasn’t realized yet” and it hit me.

“Oh my god, that is great. We are going to have kids the same freaking age.” Madi and Bella were separated by a few months and these two new additions would be the same way. I gave her a huge hug.

Mike let the hair dresser and makeup artist in as Ava showed up with a bag filled with gifts. “Ok, so John is so dorky and sentimental. He has a present in here for you and one for Madi and Brent sent something for you.” She handed the bag to me and I sat down, calling Madi over.

“Here is present from Uncle Jonny.” She squealed with delight over the wrapping paper, which had penguins on it. Brent was so frustrated as Madison had become completely obsessed with penguins recently. He even took her to the zoo in hopes she would change her mind. She opened it and stared at it. “Oooo pretty Mommy.” She said as I helped her open the box and showed her the necklace. Only Jon would buy a toddler a necklace with a small diamond on it. It did look good with dress.

Jon had given me earrings, which were gorgeous and probably cost a fortune. I opened Brent’s gift and cried. He had an old tiny military medal of my grandfather’s made into a necklace for me, his name clearly inscribed on the underside. I knew he was looking down and smiling at me. I’m sure he was happy I had found someone as good as Brent.

I went into the bathroom and took a shower, completely lathering my body in apple blossom body wash. Once I put on a robe, I went back into the main room where the photographer was chasing Madison around, taking pictures.

Abby, my maid of honor, had her dress on already and looked absolutely stunning, the red really accentuating her body. Ava was my bridesmaid, Ericka was supposed to be there too, but said it would be too awkward after breaking up with Corey and after everyone had ready the article about her and Marc.

Brent’s mom showed up, looking fabulous. “Oh I cannot wait to see you in your dress. I just seen Brent, they are getting dressed now. “

I laughed. “So he hasn’t bailed yet?” and Abby cracked up.

After my hair and makeup, Mike helped me into my dress. Him and I were the only ones in the room as the photographer took pictures of him lacing the back and helping me slip on my shoes. The tears flowed as he told me how I deserve every minute of the happiness Brent and I would have together.

After I was finally dressed, Mike opened the doors and I walked into the main area of the suite, Brent’s mom cried when she seen me. “My god, he might pass out” she said as she took my wrist and fastened a beautiful blue sapphire bracelet to it. “Brent gave you old, Jon gave you new and I am giving you blue. Abby has something borrowed for you.”

Abby came over and fastened the silver hair clips in my hair which was down in loose curls. “So you ready to leave?” she asked and I nodded, hoping I had memorized my vows completely.

Brent’s POV

Keith laid across the sofa at my mom and dad’s house, busy watching the movie on television as I paced and Sharpy and Jon cracked jokes. “Bro, settle down. You are making me nervous.” Keith said and I groaned.

I can’t help it. "What if my vows are cheesy?”

Pat cracked up. “Dude, vows are cheesy, just roll with it.”

“What if she doesn’t show?” I asked and Jon just shook his head at me.

“Umm, you really are freaking out. Relax Brent, everything is going to go well.”

My dad came out of the bedroom and headed into the kitchen, returning with a bottle of whiskey and five shot glasses. “Everyone needs to relax.” He said pouring shots and handing them out.

After two, I felt a hell of a lot better. Jon kept telling me over and over that it was only Alex I had to impress. We got dressed after the shots and headed out the door. We were getting married in the same place as the reception, just in a different room.

I got to the reception hall and it literally took my breath away. Us guys aren’t much for fancy, but even Sharpy was impressed. “Wow bro, her and you mom killed it.” The reception area was done in a winter theme, with deep reds, crystals and white fabric everywhere. It was mind-blowing.

The area where the ceremony was taking place was also breathtaking. It was setup to make it look like a meadow in the wintertime, winter flowers adorned the aisles and even fake snow. It was beautiful. People stopped to wish me good luck as I made my way to the front of the room.

There were three hundred people, quietly seated as my heart thumped and we awaited Alex’s arrival. The door opened slowly and I seen Madison, walking with my mom, cheerfully tossing flowers all over, stopping to yell “Hi Daddy” before my mom pulled her into a seat.

Next out was Ava and Jon. Keith already stood in the front with me. Ava and Jon came down the aisle quickly, following behind them were Sharpy and Abby, who took their time, Sharpy looking exuberant as she whispered into his ear. The music stopped and changed and I wanted to lose my mind with anticipation.

Mike held her closely as she came into my view. She was absolutely breathtaking. It felt like hours as she made her way to me, I wanted to run up the aisle and pull her into my arms. Keith patted my back and said wow under his breath. She finally made it to the front and grinned as Mike gave her to me. I shook his hand and almost cracked up as Kaner gave me the thumbs up sign from the third row.

She mouthed the words “I love you” as I held her hand. The ceremony was fairly quick and went got to our vows part quickly. I went first. I was nervous, but her smile calmed me.

“Alex, they aren’t many people in this world that find what we have found. I truly feel like you are my angel, sent to make me complete. You helped me become the man my parents raised me to be, you helped me become the father I should be, but most of all you showed me that love was possible, through all the struggles, tears and the joy we have shared together. I promise to be there for you, through life’s ups and downs, as we become parents again and as we go through life together. I promise you my heart, my loyalty and I promise to always be there for you.” I choked out the last line saying screw it to myself and letting the tears fall. I knew I would pay for it from my teammates but I didn’t care. She gave me a smile and started to speak.

“It’s hard for me to express in words how you have changed me in the time since we have met. You have made me a better person and together we have become a solid family and good parents to Madison. You have been there for me and held me when I needed your strength, you have taken care of me and together we have made our lives better. Most people spend their lives searching for what we have found. I’m so happy and proud to call you my husband. I can’t wait to begin our married life together and welcome our new child into this world. I love you with all of my heart and I promise to be there for you through wins, losses, ups, downs, Stanley Cups, happiness and anything that might come our way.”

Kaner started to clap and I cracked up. We exchanged rings and the minster ended the ceremony. “So now I pronounce you husband and wife. Brent I know it has been killing you, you may now kiss your beautiful bride.”

We kissed and the minister introduced us to the guests. “So let me be first to introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Brent Seabrook.” We were congratulated by tons of people as we made our way, down the aisle together, Madi in my arms.
