Beautiful Goodbye
Flashbacks
"Brooke, please come back, I love you!" I heard a voice shout behind me. I stopped turned around and flew back into his arms. "I love you too!" I said gripping my arms around his neck. I leaned in to kiss him, feeling his warm breath on my lips, and then my alarm clock went off. I shot up out of my bed, it was 6:30. I had, had the same dream I had been having almost every night since the day I walked away from him. I glanced around my small, simple Boston apartment. "Another day in paradise," I said to myself. I groaned and got up from my bed to find my new, dalmatian puppy Daisy curled up in front of my bedstand. "Hi Daisy," I said kneeling down to pat her, she growled and continued chewing on my slipper. I headed into the shower, with only a few minutes before I would need to leave for work. Today was my first day at work for TD Garden. I had just moved to Boston from Chicago. I had always loved my job in sports journalism. But the fact that I was in a new city with a new team made me somewhat nervous. I had grown to love the Blackhawks and really enjoyed working with them. I was both sad and excited when my boss told me the Boston Bruins needed a new journalists to work with the team. I jumped out of the shower and wrapped myself in a big, white towel. I peered at myself in the mirror, "Ugh" I sighed. I wasnt too thrilled with my appearance. I had light brown wavy hair, and dark blue eyes. I was kind of naturally tan. I had no idea what to wear to work. It was close to eighty degrees out and the last thing I wanted was to meet the new team with sweat stains. I decided on a pink summer dress with a lace overlay and tan belt and tan equestrian boots. I must of changed my outfit ten times. I grapped my navy long champ, kissed Daisy goodbye, and I was off to TD Garden.
