The Gentle Giant

My heartbeat resonated in my ears as he looked at me expectantly. It felt like there was a ten minute pause while he waited for words to come to my brain. “Yes, of course I will” I said, kissing him.

“Ok, you scared me there. It took you forever to answer.” I kissed him again, harder this time.

“Sorry I was stunned. I didn’t expect it at all, Mr. I want to take things slow. It has been what, all of a week.” I said and tugged at his bottom lip with me teeth soliciting a low growl.

“You better be careful what you wish for Danielle.” He warned as I kissed his Adam’s apple my hand running along his abs. In one fluid motion he pushed me onto my back and took control. My body screamed in pleasure as he took the fate of my orgasm in his hands. When he finally let me release it, my body convulsed, my body quivering.

“So you want to be dominate huh?” I asked pulling him to a standing position and making quick work of his clothes. “Tell me what you want me to do, in detail.” I said, giving him a sly smile.

“Come on Dani, you are killing me.” I ran my fingers along his collarbone, and leaned my mouth towards his ear. “It’s killing you because you want something. Now tell me what you want.”

He blushed and said “I want you”. I playfully laid back on the bed.

“Not good enough Andrej. I need you to tell me, no order me, to pleasure you.” He pulled me by the wrists towards him.

Laying back in bed after that was amazing. He rolled to his side. “That was amazing. Never felt anything like that before. I’m walking a line between queasy and dizziness right now but my body is thanking every ounce of you.”

I just grinned at him. “See fun stuff, It isn’t hard. Besides I don’t know why you are so shy with me anyway.” I set the alarm and he pulled me closer to him and we fell asleep. I had work the next morning. I groaned when the alarm went off, resetting it for him to get up for practice and quickly showered. I hit Dunkin Donuts and got into work almost an hour early.

I walked over towards Bella’s office. I could see the light was on but the blinds were closed. I turned back towards my office when I heard her door open. I seen his light-colored hair as he trailed down the hallway and I tried to stifle my laugh. I went and logged onto my computer before walking back over towards Bella’s office. I stood in the doorway while Ms. Nonchalant acted like she was working hard. “So what’s up Bella my dear. You know, hanky panky in the workplace is generally frowned up by most people. But not by me and not when it is with that cute forward we call Steeger."

She turned bright red. “Ok, so busted. Can’t help myself. He made me laugh the whole time we were out over the weekend. Now Mike, I could do some damage on that boy, but Kris won me over with his goofiness.”

I winked at her. “I have Lysol if you need it.” I said as I walked away.

My boss called me in to check final plans for Pittsburgh. I was leaving on Thursday and couldn’t wait. I’d only be gone two nights and Andrej would be in Canada so at least I wouldn’t be bored. The Gaga concert I was helping promote was on Friday night.

I was more excited because the Penguins had a home game on Thursday night. Max and I had talked earlier this week and he had gotten me tickets to go. When I got back to my desk I shot a quick text to Kris. “Stay out of my office building, far too early for you to be running around.”

A minute later my phone vibrated. “Hahahaha can’t help it. I’m a guy, don’t deny me. She is hot.” I just smiled. I could kill her for choosing him though. Mike was definitely more serious about things and now she wouldn’t have a chance at all with him. He didn’t date exes of teammates. I knew he stuck by it too because him and Rainy were close and he never even attempted when her and Danny were fighting.

My phone at my desk rang around noon. “Hey sis, did you go to lunch yet?” I was excited. Danny was usually busy so it was unexpected to get a phone call from him. I agreed to meet them for lunch at one o'clock and bring Bella per Kris’s request.

We hadn’t told Danny about the engagement thing yet and I knew he would be surprised. I called over to Bella and she agreed to go although she seemed nervous. “You don’t think Kris will act weird do you?” I didn’t think so and I reminded her he was pretty laid back. We got to the restaurant and the guys were already there. It was a rowdy lunch.

No one even noticed the ring until the very end of it, when we were throwing money on the bill. Claude seen it first and commented. “Ok, so I guess I’m the last to know, congrats you two.”

Danny smiled and I assumed that maybe he did know, because he didn’t look surprised. “So you knew Dan?” I asked.

“Of course I did. He asked my permission.” He said and the table burst out laughing.

Kris and Bella tried to play it off like they barely knew each other throughout lunch but it was a lost cause. Jeff finally spoke up asking the question most of the table had assumed already. “So it was that good huh, you two can barely make eye contact with each other."

Bella laughed and Kris shot up, grabbing her by the hand, pulling her towards the exit. “I’m going home sick Dani. Love ya girl.” She said as I shook my head at her.

Andrej stood up, “Come on. I’ll walk you back.” I gave Danny and Mike hugs and said goodbye to the rest of the guys.

After work I went straight to his place. He wasn’t home. I flopped on his bed and must have fallen asleep. He woke me up around eight o’clock. “Hey sweetheart. You should probably eat something. My daughter has got to be hungry by now.”

He pulled me up off the bed. “Besides, I have a surprise for you after dinner.” We went down to the kitchen and he handed me a plate. “I got Chinese, a little of everything.” We ate in silence. I was still trying to wake up and Andrej is usually pretty quiet.

As soon as I put my plate in the sink, He grabbed my hand. “My afternoon was productive, look.” He opened the door. His second bedroom contained tons of baby stuff. Most of it was still in the boxes but he had bought a crib, changing table and a chair with an ottoman. There was a pile of clothes on the chair. Almost every outfit was girly pink with bows and lace. I cracked up.

“It’s beautiful sweetheart, I love it.”

He grinned. “Not finished yet. This was just the impulse buy stuff. I didn’t really know what I needed so I just had fun and grabbed stuff, I took Mike with me. He apparently loves shopping for babies. He bought the stuff in that pile.” I looked through the clothes Mike had picked out. His style was completely different and he went for the more mature look. Tons of brown mixed with pink, polka dots and smart sayings adorned his choices.

The night ended quickly, me asleep against his chest. He was so comfortable. I couldn’t help it. The next day passed rather quickly as well. I had off and he had a flight at three o’clock for his road trip.

I dropped him off at the airport and threw my arms around him. “Miss you baby.”

He kissed me smack on the forehead. “Have fun in Pittsburgh, be safe. Love you, and you.” He said, moving his hand from my face to belly.

I went home and finished cleaning up his place before locking up and heading back to my apartment. I knew I needed to make a decision about what to do with my place, but I wasn’t comfortable giving it up quite yet. I had worked hard for it. I straightened up my place and then took a nice long walk before going to dinner at a place close to my apartment. Andrej didn’t play until tomorrow night so after dinner I went home, got on comfy clothes and watched chick flicks, eventually falling asleep on the couch.
