Chapter 6- I Thought of Something Wonderful Today...You!
Carey's POV:
I took a deep breath as I buttoned up my shirt. I was getting ready to marry the love of my life, Charlee. I starting tying up my tie as Rene Bourque walked in the room. "Are you about reayd to get married?" he aked
"Never been more ready. I've waited eleven years for this day. The moment I saw her...I knew she would be much more than just a friend. She's my whole world. She's my best friend and in an hour, she'll be my wife." I smiled
"It's about time you guys got married." he laughed
"It's the perfect time."
Just then, my dad came in the room, "We're ready for you son."
I smiled and headed out to the church auditorium with my father, Rene and a few of my teammates. I looked across the crowd, seeing my mom, sister, my family, Charlee's family, the rest of the team, and a few of my other friends throughout the league. I took a deep breath as the organist staring playing the music, Charlee's friend Vivian, her cousin Sasha and her maid of honor Molly started walking down the aisel.
Then, the bridal march started and I saw her. Charlotte was wearing a long white gown with lace trim up the side. She was so beautiful. She had her arm linked with her father's and her face lit up when she saw me...
Charlee's POV:
I took a deep breath as I walked into the auditorium with my father. The music was playing and everyone was standing, waiting for me. "Are you ready, Lotte?" my dad asked. He had called me Lotte when I was a little girl.
I nodded, "Yes." I replied smiling up at Carey.
My father smiled, fighting back tears as he led me down the aisel to become Mrs. Charlotte Price. We stopped at the pulpit and everything else other than Carey and I disappeared. I smiled at him as my father went back to his seat and the minister started the cermony.
I fought back tears as Carey slid the ring on my finger and I slid mine on his. I smiled up at him as the minister spoke. "The couple has written their own vows and will say them to eachother now." the minister said as he smiled at us.
I smiled as I spoke, "Carey, since the day we met that Summer in Vancouver, you've been my best friend and then some. I know things haven't always been perfect, but I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you so much." I started to cry before I finished, "You're the greatest man I've ever met and I will love you until the day I die."
Carey smiled at me as he spoke, "I'm not that good with words, so, I will be quoting a poem by Ahmed Kakembo...this particular poem is one of Charlee's favorites, so here we go..." he paused a moment before he began and I looked at him with a smile. I had no idea he was planning this and I started crying again as he began, "Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was choice, but falling in love with you was completely out of my control. God created men first, coz you always make a rough draft before a masterpiece.You are the light in a dark room and I am the moth who can't resist it. Explaining how much I love you is like explaining how water tastes. I don't want to be your whole world....just your favorite part!
Love me today because tomorrow may be too late. Meeting you has been delightfully refreshing!

Tears of joy rand down my cheeks as I choked out, "I do."
"And do you, Carey Price, take Charlotte Michelle Arquette, to be your lawfully wedded wife, in sickness and health for richer or for poorer until death do you part?"
Carey smiled as he replied, "I do."
"Then by the power invested in me by the Province of Quebec I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." I smiled at Carey as we kissed, our first kiss as husband and wife...Everyone cheered and clapped and the minister announced, "It iss my honor to introduce to you for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Carey Price!"
