"Honey, are you sure you don't want to just watch the game from home?"

I grabbed the arms of the chair and pulled myself to my feet, swaying slightly before steadying.

"I'm sure! I'm fine. And this is a big game!" Roman sighed and walked over to me, holding my coat and helping me put it on. He placed his hands on either side of my face and looked me in the eyes.

"I love you." He leaned in and placed a kiss on my lips, as I laced my arms around his neck. The kisses deepened and I felt Roman slide his hands down my waist.

"Whoa, buddy." I placed my hands on my belly and Roman pulled back. "Looks like she's reminding us that this is what got us in trouble in the first place." He placed a kiss on my cheek and knelt down to place a kiss on my stomach, as well.

"Smart, just like her mommy." Smiling, I grabbed my purse off the table and walked towards the door. Roman and I walked to the car and I got in, stretching the seatbelt to it's capacity as I buckled myself in.

We arrived at the arena a few minutes later, walking through the back entrance. I walked towards the elevator, heading up to the Friends & Family suite, and Roman followed.

"Honey, you've gotta go! You're gonna be late for warm up!" He checked his watch and pushed his hair back, sighing.

"I know, I know. Are you sure you're okay? You don't need any help?" I grabbed his face, looking him directly in the eyes.

"I am fine. I'm pregnant, not made of glass." I placed a kiss on his forehead, which was a struggle seeing as I had beachball strapped to the front of me. "Now go kick their asses." He smiled and walked away, grabbing my hand and placing a kiss on it at the last minute.

As I stood in the elevator, the doors closing, I looked at myself in the mirrors on the wall. I was wearing black flats, having to give up my heels a few weeks ago as I got further along. I was wearing a pair of black leggings and, of course, a 'Josi' jersey that had once been oversized, but now stretched tight over my pregnant belly. My jacket was over it all, but it was unzipped because, well, it wouldn't zip.

I sighed and rubbed my tummy as the elevator "dinged" and the door opened. I walked down the hall to the suite, greeting the attendant and entering.

"Lil! You're here!" Bailey, Shea Weber's wife, scurried over, giving me a hug and placing her hands on my belly. We'd gotten close during my pregnancy, seeing as she was a mom and had been more than willing to help me out. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling great!" Bailey rolled her eyes.

"You're due in ten days. Tell me how you're actually feeling." I closed my eyes and exhaled slowly.

"I feel huge, and my feet hurt, and I have to pee again." Bailey laughed and pulled me in for another hug, as I went to use the bathroom.

After warm ups were done, we found all sat down at the front of the suite and awaited the puck drop.

The game was crazy, back and forth with the score currently tied at 3-3. The third period was about to start, and we were all anxiously standing on our feet. As everyone begun yelling, I raised my hands and clapped.

"Let's go, babe!" I yelled out, my hands cupped around my mouth, when I suddenly felt a pain in my abdomen. Bailey must have noticed me wince, because she leaned over.

"You okay, Lily?" I nodded and smiled, although the pain hadn't subsided.

"Yep, just-", another wave of pain hit me and I swore under my breath, "I'm gonna run to the bathroom." I turned to walk, cursing through the pain, and made my way out of the suite, where the rest of the WAGs and family members were focused on the game. Bailey was close behind me.

"Hon, what's up?"

"I'm fine! I just-" I couldn't speak because my breath had been cut off by the sharp pain. I grabbed my tummy. "Shit."

"Lily, I think you're going into labor." I shook my head, trying to stand up straighter.

"No, I'm not due for almost two weeks! It's probably nothing." She crossed her arms over her chest and chuckled.

"Um, I'm not sure what type of gas you're having." She looked to my feet, her eyes widened. "Because either you had to pee really, really badly. Or, your water just broke." I looked down and gasped as I noticed a puddle at my feet. Tears stung my eyes and Bailey ran back into the suite, coming out with our purses. "Honey, don't cry. Everything is going to be fine. Come on, I'll drive you to the hospital." I shuffled to the elevator, which was thankfully close enough that I only got a few strange glances. Bailey put her arm around me as the doors closed.

"But- but, what about the game? I don't want to miss it! I don't want you to miss it, either! What if Shea or what if-" My eyes widened and tears poured down my cheeks. "What if Roman misses the birth? He's not gonna make it!" The door opened and Bailey ushered me outside, explaining to security what was going on as I breathed through the pain and let the tears fall.

We walked to her car and, after helping me in, she sped off. I really started crying then, from both the pain and my nerves.

"Lily, don't you dare worry about me. I'm sure the boys will win, and I've seen plenty of games." She put down her phone, which she had been typing something into, and looked at me as we sat at a stoplight. "I just texted one of the girls, and she said she'd tell the attendant to notify Roman. They'll get him out as quickly as possible." I nodded, but the tears came harder.

"Thank you."

"Just breathe, okay? You can do this." She turned up the radio to help distract me, but it wasn't helping much.

We pulled up to the hospital about fifteen minutes later. As she helped me out of the car, she checked her phone.

"Alright, they let Roman know. He's leaving as soon as possible." I nodded as we walked through the doors, thankfully finding a wheelchair at the entrance. Bailey wheeled me in and explained the situation to the receptionist, who thankfully took us right in. A nurse came out and got me, but wouldn't let Bailey in because she wasn't family.

"But, she's the only one here! Can't she come in?" The nurse apologized.

"I'm sorry, it's flu season so we're being extra careful right now. She can wait out here and we'll let her in as soon as the delivery is over. But, she can't come into the delivery room. Family only." Tears spilled down my cheeks as the pain grew worse and my worry increased. Bailey sighed and nodded at me, giving me a thumbs up from her chair. I smiled back and waved.

"Go get 'em, Lil!" I giggled as the nurse pushed me through the door.

"So, how far along are you?"

"I'm due in ten days." She nodded.

"Oh, so not too early. You'll be just fine." We entered the room and she helped me to the bed, reaching into the cabinet to grab a gown. "Are you a hockey fan?" I started crying harder at that point, as she helped me get out of my jersey and pants, because I couldn't do it on my own.

"Um, sorta" I sniffled as she pulled my jersey over my head and tied the gown on, helping me get as comfortable as I could be while in bed. The doctor walked in just as she was taking my vital signs.

"Hello Lily! How are you feeling?" I didn't answer because a huge contraction hit me, knocking the wind out of me. "I'll take that as not too well!" He sat at the foot of the bed, checking to see how I was doing. "Well, you're pretty far along. You should be ready to push in no time! We've given you some medication to help with the pain, but nothing too strong per the requests in your birth plan." I was thanking myself for seeing a doctor here as opposed to the hospital closer to our house. She wasn't here right now, but I'd met this doctor once or twice before. "I'm just gonna go ahead and get washed up."

"No, Roman's not here yet!" I shouted after him as he left the room. The nurse went to leave, as well, after finishing taking my blood pressure. But, as she left the room, she suddenly took a step back.

"Um, Sir-"

Roman stormed in, still dressed in his gear. He had changed out of his skates, thankfully, and was wearing a pair of Adidas sandals over his socks, but everything else was still on.

"I came over as fast as I could. Didn't even stay for media." He sat in the chair next to me, grabbing my hand. "How are you doing."

"Everything hurts. I can't do this." He shook his head and scooted closer.

"Yes you can, I believe in you! I'll help distract you." I was thankful for that, because another contraction hit then.

"Did you win?" He laughed, probably at my focus on hockey as opposed to the child I was about to deliver.

"Yes, babe, we won. Weber saved our asses at the last minute." I smiled quickly and tried to concentrate on breathing. I noticed Roman wince as I squeezed his hand, I guess a lot tighter than I had intended.
-------------------------------------
One hour of pain, tears, and hard-work later, everything was worth it. Roman had changed into a pair of scrubs and sat next to me in bed, as we both looked at our gorgeous daughter. She was asleep in his arms, a little smile on her beautiful face.

"Daniela, you're just as beautiful as your mother. I love you so much." A tear escaped and rolled down his cheek, so I reached up to wipe it away. I don't think I'd seen him this emotional since our wedding day. Even then, I think he may be more excited for our daughter's birth, and I couldn't blame him. She was everything we'd ever wanted.

"Oh my god, you guys are the most beautiful family I've ever seen." Bailey tiptoed in, setting a bouquet of flowers on the table and placing a tiger stuffed-animal on the bed.

"Thank you, B."

"Seriously, thank you. We couldn't have done it without your help. She would have given birth right there in the suite if it wasn't for you."

"Aw, guys stop! You're making me blush." I laughed and yawned, exhausted after all the hard work. "Well, I'm gonna go grab something to eat. I'll leave you cuties alone." She closed the door behind her, leaning against Roman's shoulder.

"Get some sleep, babe."

"Are you sure you don't mind?"

"I'm surrounded by the two most beautiful girls in the world. I couldn't be happier."
