With the "Enemy"

Sidney Crosby never planned on seeing Jackie again. He wanted to see her again, but that was probably never going to, plus Sid didn't even have her number. Besides, Jackie was just a distraction to what was really important: hockey.

Steve Mason never intended to fall in love with his friend's sister, but things happened. When he heard Jakub wanted to meet up with Jackie, Steve felt something he wasn't use to: Jealousy. Now Steve Mason was on a mission, a mission to win over Jackie Giroux's heart.

Jackie Giroux didn't want to fall in love. She had enough on her hands with hockey, her overprotective brother, Steve Mason, and Dougie and Torey at her throat every two minutes, Add in the fact she has three different guys trying to get her.

Jackie wanted Sidney, she really did but Jackie knew Steve Mason better. Jackie may or may not have a crush on her best friend, Evgeni Malkin. Now, obviously Claude would only be in favor of one of her "crushes", if even him.

Many people know what would happen if a guy and a girl who may or may not like each other see one another in a neutral city. If those people can avoid the girl's brother long enough, a little more might happen. Especially when only one guy the girl is after is there.

When the Philadelphia Flyers and and Boston Blades each play in Montreal to play their respective teams; The Montreal Canadiens and The Montreal Stars. Well, two friends are bound to meet up.

Jackie was sitting in her hotel room when she heard her phone buzz. She assumed it was just her brother letter her know his flight landed but it was actually his teammate, well, two teammates.

The first was from a number she didn't recognize: Hey, this is Jakub I wanted to know if you might want to meet up sometime in the next couple hours

Now normal people would either ignore it or text back no, but Jackie was not a normal person. Instead she texted back: How the hell did you get my number?
Jakub: your brother gave it to me, so about meeting up
Jackie: Sorry, I already have stuff planned.
Jakub: Oh, maybe some other time
Jackie: Listen bud, I just don't really feel that way about your, or even really like you much. I would appreciate it if you would leave me alone. thanks

Yeah, that was pretty blunt, but Jackie really didn't feel that way about Jakub and in reality she could care less if she hurt his feelings. Jackie though she would have peace and quiet until he felt her phone again. She was hoping it wasn't Jakub and the name she saw put a smile to her face.

The name she saw was her best friend besides Malkin. The weird thing was her heart skipped a beat and she felt the way she did with Sidney. There was no way Jackie could possibly have a crush on Steve Mason of all people. They were way too close, she read the text: Wondering if you'd want to go grab something to eat before our games?
Jackie: That would be nice, anyone else or just us
Steve: Just us if that's fine and Jackie was complete OK with that idea
Jackie: That sounds fine, where do you want to go
Steve: You choose, you know Montreal better than I do
Jackie: There's this little pizza place by the Bell Center, how's that
Steve: Sounds fine, meet you in 10 minutes.
Jackie: OK

As Jackie typed those two letters her heart was beating so fast. She could not believe she just agreed on a date with Steve Mason, her best friend. If this even was a date.

Jackie got down to the pizza shop to find Steve sitting at one of the corner booths trying not to be seen. That made Jackie laugh a little, he was the Flyers goalie, it was very unlikely anyone was going to bother him in Montreal.

"Trying to hide your face Mase?" Jackie laughed.
"I just wanted some peace and quiet for our date," he said.
Wait, date? Jackie thought. She let it go figuring he meant a date with a friend.
"So, when is your game?" Steve asked once the pizza got to the table.
"Tomorrow afternoon," Jackie said staring at her food.
"Oh, ok. Jack you ok, you seem a little freaked out," Steve asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"Ok," Steve mumbled getting back to eating his pizza.

The rest of the meal was eaten in awkward silence. It was something the two weren't use to, most of their meals were filled with a lot of talking and laughing. There was some arguing about who was going to pay the bill, like always, and it always ended the same way, Steve paying and Jackie putting money up for the tip.
They were walking out the door when Steve turned towards Jackie. She didn't have time to process what was happening but Jackie knew one thing: Steve Mason was kissing her and she liking it.

This is very, very bad.
