Wild About You

34: Daughters

“Fathers, be good to your daughters. Daughters will love like you do. Girls become lovers who turn into mothers, so mothers be good to your daughters too…”

Apparently pregnancy came second to hockey unless a child was physically coming out of a body. At least that’s how Marco explained it to Marie when he told her he wouldn’t be able to go to the appointment with her. Even despite it being his birthday, he had to head into practice that morning just as Marie was trudging into the OBGYN’s office.

The appointment was a big one too. Walking out, Marie now knew the sex of their child. She called Marco in a frenzy, excited to tell him the news, but she was only let down when he didn’t pick up the phone. Instead of leaving him a voicemail, she figured it was something she should tell him in person.

Back at home, Marie was even more disappointed when she realized Marco wasn’t there. She strode into the living room, saw the blinking red light on the phone receiver, and clicked it.

“Hey baby! Some of the guys are taking me out for a few beers. We’re going to Scout’s, so you can meet us there if you want, or I’ll just see you when I get home. Love ya baby, talk to you soon.”

The machine clicked off and Marie erased the message before walking into the kitchen. She pulled open the refrigerator door and stood by it, rubbing her ever-growing baby bump as she searched for something to eat. Finally settling on a salad Marco had thrown together the day before, Marie plopped down on the couch and began to eat.

The number of important events Marco was going to miss in their life together was already weighing on her mind. While this appointment had been an important one, in the grander scheme of things, it was something very little. Yet he was still missing it. Marie pushed more food into her mouth, thinking of new situations she’d have to celebrate alone. Like the first word or first step of their child, the first day of school; hell she’d be lucky if she could get him to the wedding.

She curled over onto her side and set the glass bowl on the floor beside the couch. Lifting one piece of lettuce into her mouth at a time, she moved at a leisurely pace that helped to lull her into a calmer state. By the time she flipped on the TV and settled on watching a rerun of Championship Bull Riding. The more she watched it, the more she hated it, but she also didn’t want to move anymore than she had to. Laziness was plaguing her.

Marie figured it had only been a few hours since the front door opened up, because the bull riding competition had just ended. She sat up from the couch when Marco half stumbled into the room. The afternoon drinking party had left him pretty far gone considering he probably hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast.

“There’s my sexy girl,” he slurred and flopped down beside Marie.

She pressed her hands against his arm to keep him from leaning up on her, “happy birthday, my love.” She kissed him once and then pulled back to examine him more closely.

“How was the doctor?”

“We’re having quintuplets,”

Marco’s face dropped, instantly going sullen. Even in his inebriated state, he knew that was something to worry about. He only loosened up when Marie laughed at his expression. “C’mon how was it,”

“You’re drunk. I’ll tell you at dinner when you’re sobered up,”

He leaned into her, whispering softly, “was it bad news?”

Marie smiled and pecked his lips, “no it was good news.”

Marco got up on his knees and crawled on top of her, smiling against her skin as he kissed her neck. Gently, he nudged her over onto her stomach and dropped his hips. “Good enough news to celebrate?”

“I think I can summon enough energy to go a round,” she rested her head on the back of her hands as Marco fumbled with his pants. “But I think…”

“I gotcha,” he murmured, finally pushing his jeans towards his ankles. It was like he anticipated her fears and had already come to the same conclusion as her.

Marie glanced back at him as he tugged on her sweatpants, “whiskey dick?”

He giggled boyishly and licked his fingers, slipping them over his length as he stroked himself, “beer dick. Should be okay.” He sucked on his middle finger and slipped it between her legs and over her ass.

“I swear if you go soft on me…”

“Shh,” he grinned and pushed his hips forward. Marie started to squirm beneath him and she bit into the back of her hand as the head of his cock pushed into her tight entrance. She let out a squeak, and Marco bent down to kiss her shoulder blade, “want me to stop?”

Marie shook her head and reached back with one hand, setting it on his hip and held him still just for a moment as her body adjusted. He waited for her to get comfortable before he started up again, looking down at his waist to watch his length force into her. She let out another soft squeak and glanced back at Marco, already seeing beads of sweat along his hairline. Marie clutched onto a pillow to steady herself and lifted her hips up off the couch to keep Marco’s length deep inside her.

She let out a soft moan and squeezed her eyes shut as he began to rock in and out of her, moving slowly so they could feel every inch of each other. When Marco pulled out entirely, Marie looked back at him fully, only to have him tug on her arm to get her to lie onto her back. She looked up at him as he readjusted her legs to fall over his shoulders before he sunk back into her. Her eyes squinted shut and while they were closed, she felt Marco’s lips touch along hers. Marie opened up her lips and took his tongue into her mouth.

“Oh god,” she whispered and turned her head to the side. At the same time, Marie arched her back and brought a hand up to her eyes to cover them.

“You alright,” Marco grunted mid-thrust. Despite asking a genuine question, he didn’t wait for an answer and just kept going.

“Mhmm,” she lowered her hand and looked down when she felt Marco’s fingertips over her clit. She flinched underneath him and let out a soft giggle as she made eye contact with him.

Marco kept thrusting into her, and for the first time in awhile, Marie felt actually turned on. She was getting closer and closer to a climax, and it was a relief to be nearing a release. He groaned and stared down at his cock, “so tight baby.”

“You like it in my ass, honey…” she choked out as Marco bottomed out. The end of her sentence came out in a high-pitched squeal. She could see the muscles in his arms flex as he tried to hold out a little longer. But because of the tight fit and his slightly drunken state, she knew she had him when his shaft twitched inside of her and she felt his load shoot into her.

He pulled out and grabbed onto her ankles, lifting her legs up, and bent forward, flicking his tongue against her clit. Marie reached around her legs and put her hand on top of his head, pushing back gently.

“Marco, stop.”

Marco pulled back and set her legs down, looking down into her eyes.

“It’s your birthday… That was for you,”

“But I want you to finish…”

“It’s okay baby,”

He leaned down and kiss her lips slowly, nudging Marie’s head to the side to get to her neck. “I don’t like finishing without you,”

Marie wrapped her arms round his neck and hugged him tightly, kissing his temple gently before she pushed him off of her. “I have to get ready for dinner if we’re gonna get out of here on time,”

She was in the bathroom, applying a bright shade of red lipstick when she heard Marco calling out for her. They were late for their dinner reservation, and they’d have to get a move on if they intended on keeping it.

Marie hustled out of the bathroom and scooped up her clutch from the bed. She ran through the hallway, high heels in hand, and met Marco by the front door. He admired her in the flowy, black dress she’d put on, and she handed him her clutch as she bent over to slip into her red pumps that matched her lips. When she stood back up straighter, she glanced at Marco’s outfit. His tie matched the red that accented her outfit, and his slacks and dress shirt gave him a business casual look.

“Will you bring a jacket? I might get cold,”

Marco reached for the front door and pulled it open for her, “already got one.” He ushered her into his car and then sat himself down in the drivers seat. He revved the engine and sped out of the driveway, weaving through traffic on the road to merge onto the freeway.

Marie held onto his hand as he placed it in her lap as he drove. “You know you’ll have to tone down the speeding once the baby’s here. None of this crazy man driving,”

He nodded and squeezed her hand reassuringly. “You still have to tell me about your appointment. I’m sober now,”

“Why can’t you just wait for the surprise like a normal person?” She looked at him and set her head back against the headrest.

“When it comes to my child, I don’t like to be surprised.”

Marie rolled her eyes and ran her thumb over the back of his hand, thinking about how she wanted to tell him. She noticed how Marco glanced over at her, anxiously awaiting her news. And finally she sucked in a deep breath, “it’s a little girl.”

They made eye contact, and Marie watched as Marco’s eyes began to fog up with tears. He blinked wildly to clear his eyes and shook his head, letting out a chuckle. After looking at her again quickly, he lifted her hand to his mouth and kissed it softly.

He seemed to be ogling over her the entire way to the restaurant. And even when they got there and were seated, Marco was persistent in asking questions. He wanted to make sure everything was going how it should be going. Upon finding out he was having a daughter, it seemed he got even more protective over the child.

“And she’s okay, right? Everything’s good and healthy?” He brought his pint of beer up to his lips and took a sip as they sat at their table.

Across from him, Marie sipped her water, holding back giggles. It really was a turn on that he was becoming a doting father. “Yeah she’s good. A little small so the doctor wants me to take vitamins,”

“A little small? Is that okay? Like is everything developing right?”

“Baby, you have to calm down.” Marie reached across the table and held onto his hand, “she’s fine. She’s got two arms and two legs, one head, and no attached twin.”

“Yeah but she’s my little girl so now I’m going to worry for the rest of my life,” he put his hands in his lap as the waiter approached the table again and placed their meals in front of them.

“I thought I was your little girl,”

“You are,” Marco smirked, “and I already worry about you. Now I have a whole other girl to worry about.”

Marie smiled and began picking at her salad, “so uh… in other news… my dad knows too.”

Marco choked and coughed, bringing his napkin up to his mouth. “How,”

“I called Lizzie after my appointment and had to leave a voicemail. I guess he was at her place and heard it. He sent me a text right after,”

He groaned and reached out to hold her hand. Squeezing her fingers gently, Marco took a bite of his food and sat quietly for a moment. “What’d it say?”

“Can’t wait to meet her,”

Marco chuckled and looked up at Marie. “If he thinks he’s getting within a hundred yards of our daughter, he’s crazy.”

“Baby, it’s his granddau…”

“And you’re his daughter Marie,” Marco barked. “And look at what he’s done to you.” He shook his head and looked down at his food, moving it around with his fork. “The worst day of my life was finding you shackled up in the bathroom. I‘m not going through that again with my kid; I can’t. As that child’s father, I don’t want him anywhere near her.”

She nodded and chose to stay silent. Whether Marco liked it or not, Wild Bill Thatcher would be their daughter’s blood relative. And he’d mostly likely to anything he had to in order to at least meet her. He didn’t have to like it; Marie knew he never would. But her father would weasel his way into their lives; he was good at that.

For those who care, I'm the nerd that got locked out of her previous account, in which this story and Seeing Stars got written on. I am still writing though, just from this new account (I tried to make the account names as similar as possible). If you want to read my newest story, it's called Why We Call Each Other and it features Darcy Kuemper.

Thanks to everyone who has read and continues to go back and read this story and Seeing Stars. It truly means a lot to me <3

@bailey08 @cda6901 @ladypuck91 @FootieJo @penssgirl THANK YOU all for the love! I'm glad you enjoyed the story!

@Dancersar729 Unfortunately there's no sequel in the works, and no Charlie spinoff. I'm thinking about doing one-shots but because of my busy upcoming schedule, I'll probably only do those if there's requests for them.

Please tell me there might be a sequel? Or even a Charlie spinoff?
