The Cabin by the Lake

Remember Em, you are weak.

I put on my last white heel that matched my light blue dress with a lacy top and sheer bottom. Gave myself one more look over before leaving the bedroom. “Damn girl! You look hot!” I smiled as I did a little spin. “You just need one thing…” Casey got her ‘good luck’ lipstick out of her bag and handed it to me. It’s a light shade of pink that looks great on anyone. I applied and looked at Casey for approval. “He’s one lucky guy.” I smiled and sat on a chair, waiting for Ryan to come. I was nervous. I was excited. The buzzer for the apartment rang and my heart started to pound. Casey ran over to the intercom, “Hello, this is Casey.” I rolled my eyes at her, “Hello Casey, this is Ryan. I’m here to pick up Emily. Do you mind buzzing me up?” She looked over at me, “he wants to be buzzed up?” I shrugged. She buzzed for him to come up and within a few minutes there was a knock on the door. “How do I look?” I asked, before opening the door. “Perfect!” I opened the door to a black button up and khaki pants Ryan. He smiled at me, and he gave me a bouquet of flowers. “I know it’s cheesy…”I took the flowers, and smelled them. “They are beautiful.” He smiled, “not next to you.” I felt my cheeks go red. Casey came over and took the flowers, “I’ll put them in a vase, and you two have fun!” I put my jacket on, and took Ryan’s hand.

Ryan opened the car door for me, and was a proper gentleman. “Why do you look so nervous?” He laughed at my question, “Because I finally got you to say yes to a date, and I can’t mess it up.” I placed my hand on the back of his neck, and played with his hair. “You won’t mess up.” Ryan drove us to a small restaurant, helped me out of the car, and put his hand on the small of my back. The waiter brought us to a small table in the middle of the room. Not too many people where there, and it was just perfect enough. Wine was served, the food tasted great, and Ryan was the picture of perfection all night. He knew exactly what to say, he made me laugh, he made me swoon. By dessert, I had already come to the conclusion that I was definitely going on a second date with him.

He parked the car outside of my apartment and turned it off. “Why did I wait so long to say yes?” He laughed and looked over to me, “Did I do good?” I bit my lip, “You definitely raised the bar.” He looked into my eyes, “How do you stand on kissing on the first date?” He put his hand through my hair, “only if it goes well.” We leaned towards each other and shared a light kiss. “Goodnight Ryan.” I got out of the car and watched as he drove away. I didn’t want to the night to end, I wanted to invite him up…but I needed to take this one slow. This one needed to be flawless. I grabbed my keys from my jacket pocket, oblivious to the world, and walked up the steps to the door. “You’re dating someone rich I gather?” My head snapped to the left, the voice scared me. “Fancy car, fancy looking dress…you never dressed like this for me.” My heart pounded, my keys fumbled in my hand. “But you didn’t invite him up? So you’re not sleeping with him…or did you draw that line with him like you did to me.” He stepped closer to me, “I…I have the restraining order.” He laughed, “No cops around, and you won’t call them this time. I was just walking, I didn’t know you lived here until I saw you get out of the car.” He stepped closer to me again, “then keep walking Patrick.” He laughed and walked up to me, “Not without a parting gift…Emily.” His fingers brushed against my check and neck, making my shutter. He shoved me into the door by my ribs. “Remember Em, you are weak. You always have been and you always will be. And being around hockey guys isn’t going to make you stronger. I did my research. Your boyfriend, Spooner right? Well he’s not much of a fighter. So I think you know where I’m going with that.” He shoved me by my ribs again, this time off the steps. He jumped down and knelt on one knee and got close to my ear as I tried to figure out where I was bleeding from. “I will always be around. Especially when you are alone. And I know you won’t go to the cops again…not that they’d believe you to begin with.” He got up and walked away in the dark.

no!! You gotta pick zac!! Drop ryan for zac!! Love the new update!!

I would be finished. She needs to be too. Not to let someone in your life your girlfriend in on christmas but let your friends ex-girlfriend that you slept with in to celebrate christmas with you and your family. No thanks. He has to be still "seeing" her.
