Four Years Later (Squeal to My New Life)

After that nice night with only Sidney I knew that it was a right choice to move back to Pittsburgh. When we got back to our place, I could see Sid's face light up when he gives Kaley a hug. Taylor and I went into a spa that I book us and it was only going to be and her. While we were getting our feet pamper we talk about a lot of things. I never met Taylor before and I haven know Sid over 5 years. I told her my story from when I got here and why I left.
"When you left, there was something about Sid that I couldn't get it. 5 years it took me that long, Sid and I are close but I wanted him to be happy. I'm glad that you came back."
"I kinda hoping that Sid would find me in Oregon but I was thinking all the negative things that Sid hates me for what I have done. That I took his child away from him. I didn't even know it was Sid's daughter. There could have been a small percent that Kaley could be Mike's daughter. I knew that if I stay in Oregon longer and not reach out to Sid then he was going to miss a lot of first with Kaley.
"The look on Sid's face when he sees Kaley, I knew that he should be a dad. Sid will be a great to Kaley."
"Don't say that, it's to early since we haven't been with him with a full season of hockey."
"Yea that's true but I trust Sid to do nothing stupid for you to move back to Oregon." During the rest of the spa it was quiet. I think since we have the rest of our lifetime we have lots of time talking and holidays to spend. We went and had dinner together and talk about how Cole Harbor is an amazing place and Taylor can't wait for us to have a family trip.When we got back home, it was dark inside. Taylor and I walk into the kitchen and there was only one light that was coming out of my bedroom. I told Taylor goodnight and headed to my room. When I open the door to my room, I see Sid and Kaley watching a movie in bed. They were both pass out, that's a great sign that they both had a great time while I was out with Taylor. I quietly got Kaley change and in her bed. Took a quick shower and change into some pjs. I though I was quiet when I see Sid leaning on the door frame.
"Shit Sid! You scared me". He laugh a little.
"Sorry about that."
"I though you were sleeping?"
"I was but I heard you in the shower. How was your spa day with Taylor?"
"It was great, we both had a great time. I see that you and Kaley had a great time too." His smiled even wider when I said Kaley's name.
"She's a great girl." I jump on to the bathroom counter.
"Yep she is."
"Thanks to you." He cupped my face.
"There's one thing I want to talk about."
"Anything."
"Taylor and I were talking about how you are doing more than a farther should do because you weren't there for Kaley's first stuff because of me. I don't know if you are or not. Sid I think that I want you to enjoy that experience and I want to enjoy it again."
"What are you trying to say?" Sid looks very confused.
"I want to have another child and this time I will stay." He crash his lips onto mine and wrap his arms around my chest.
"You have no clue how long I have been waiting for you to say that." He kiss me on the lips and went back to bed.
In the morning, Sid had to take Taylor back to the airport but wanted to bring Kaley with her.
"Well Kaley's ice practice runs the same time with your practice Sid."
"I can call coach and tell him that I can't make it."
"He will what to know why."
"I will tell him that you are sick and I have to take care for Kaley. He will understand that." I was trying to tell myself that this is a good idea. I have been talking my head off that Kaley is a great skater since we move here but Sid has been busy with the hockey. I do need to get some stuff around the house anyway.
"Sure, if he buys it then you can. But Sid if you lose then you have to cook for a week then." He smiled and rolled his eyes.
"Fine then we have a deal I win I have Kaley all to myself today and if I loose which won't happen then I will cook for a week." Instead of a handshake we kiss.
"Kaley! Come on and get ready so daddy can take you to ice lesson." Sid yelled up to where Kaley's room is at. I gave Taylor a hug and told her that she can stop by anytime. I went back inside and clean the place. Then my phone told me that I have a tweet. It was from Potash saying that "Crosby not on the ice for family reason." Shit Sid was right! Then I got a text from Sid.
"Haha I won!"
"Shut up and have fun with Kaley. Love you.” The rest of the day I clean the house, laundry and do what stay at home moms do. I love to do this when I am stress. This whole thing between TMZ and the world finding out about us did stress me out. Now that I want to bring another child into this world makes it a little more stress. Yes I told Sid that I want to have a child with him again. But I don’t know how the media is going to do and how it’s going to effect it on Kaley. Kaley’s my first and I don’t want to put her last on anything like my mom did to me. Sid is doing a great job being a farther right now, I just don’t know how he’s going to juggle being the face of the NHL and the face of being a farther for two. I shook my head to get all of the bad thoughts. Maybe a bath will help, Sid hasn’t text me back when they are coming home. During my bath, I hear Sid and Kaley in the living room. When I heard the door being knock.
“I’m taking a bath.” I see Sid coming in with his hand covering his eyes. He look like a dork doing that.
“What I can’t see my wife while she’s in the bathtub.” He smiled.
“I though you were Kaley.” He removed his hand off his face but still that smiled didn’t leave his face.
“Did you guys have a nice time?”
“We did again, your right she does skate like me.” He sat down next to the bathtub.
“What did you do today?”
“I clean the house I did other things around the house.”
“That sound like boring.”
“Well that’s what I get for being a stay at home mom.”
“You don’t have to.”
“What do you mean?”
“Have you ever thou of going back on the ice?”
“Once in a while but not all the time. Beside I think my age is in the way from that. I love doing what I am now. I wouldn’t change it in the world.”
“So Kaley wanted to know when she can go to Estelle’s slumber party.”
“Well the slumber party isn’t till Friday and today is Monday. She’s going and we are going to have a date night.”
“That sounds perfect.”
“Sid?”
“Yea.”
“I love you.”
“I love you to.”

After dropping Kaley off for Estelle’s slumber party. It’s going to be a great date night for me and Sid. There first preseason games starts in a couple of days. Going home to an empty place was kinda of creepy but good at the same time.
“I’m going to run a bath, care to join?” I nodded my head. He pick me up bride style and we headed into the bathroom. Laying on his chest feels so good. His arms wrap around me in the hot water.
“When you were gone, everyday I missed touching your skin.” He kiss the back of my neck. It’s felt amazing lips touching every hair that’s standing from the shock he made.
“Sid?”
“Rebecca?”
“If you didn’t find me, what would happen?”
“I told myself that I would go to the end of the Earth finding you. Your the one that got away because of me. I needed to make it up not to you but James to. When he found out that you left he wasn’t the same. He only score maybe 20 goals a season. So four years of not seeing you that’s 80 goals he made. People wanted to trade him because the lack of effort he made for the team. Mario knew what’s going between James, you and I. He told Shero to not trade him and in time when I find you he will be back to the 50 goals person we know and love.”
“I do feel bad when I left but with all the bull shit that happen I didn’t know what to do.” He wrap me up closer.
“I glad that I found you and now my wife. Also have a great daughter who has a personality of a spunk.” I laugh pretty good on that one.

Today was the first day of the home opener and the Penguins are going to play the Washington Capitals. So this was going to be a great game. Kaley and I are going to see Uncle Mike before the game. She also met some of the other players to, even Alex to. After we talk to Mike, we were walking down the hall when I see someone pick up Kaley.
“Uncle Geno!” She giggled. Geno was tickling her and her laugh was amazing to hear. Since I was gone, Geno did find someone and her name is McKayla. They are still dating but they have a daughter name Anastasia. She looks like her mom but has Geno’s smile. Anastasia is going to turn 2 soon. Sid told me that he wanted to wait to get married until he finds me. I met McKayla and she’s an amazing person that I have met. She told me a lot of stories about her going to a surprise vacation to New Orleans with Geno. While the game was going on I would listen to more of her stories while Kaley was playing with the other kids in the box.
“Why did you leave Geno?”
“I though I was going to hurt him from my past. I had a past life but when I moved here and met Geno. Geno change me more than any person that I have met.”
“What happen in your past?”
“Things that a normal woman shouldn’t have been going through. I have been shoot by a blind man, a doctor played operation on my right ham string when he was drunk on his kitchen table and other things that I have been trying to remove from my memories. Having Anna was the most amazing memory that I would love to keep.”
“She just looks like Geno. So do you know when he’s going to ask you?”
“I don’t know when but soon I hope. I love him with all my heart and I think that were ready as a family.” Then the horn blast loud telling us that a Penguin scored. We both look up at the jumbo tron they were showing a picture of Sid.
“Kaley look daddy scored a goal.”
“Daddy!!” Kaley jump up and down, wearing Sid’s jersey.” It was so cute to see her wearing that jersey. At the end of the game, I made plans set up for Anna and Kaley to have a play date. The Penguins won the game 4-2 with Geno, Duper and Neal getting the goals, Mike and Nicky got the two goals for the Capitals. Before Kaley and I left Sid wanted to make sure to give her a kiss before he leaves for New Jersey. The Penguins won’t get home for a couple of days. After they play Devils they are going to Nashville and then coming home.
“Great game honey.”
“Thanks.” Sid went over to Kaley and pick her up.
“I love the jersey that your wearing.” Sid smiled.
“Thanks daddy.” Sid gave her a kiss on the check and let her down. She ran over to Neal who was just in time to caught her from jumping to him.
“Kaley does loves her uncle.” I gave Sid a kiss and told him good luck on the trip and that we will be waiting for him when he get’s back. Back home I finally but Kaley to bed when my phone was ringing. Sid probably forgot something but when I look at my screen it wasn’t Sid. It was Mike calling me.”
“Hey Mike sorry about the game.”
“I have been traded.” My heart stop for Mike. Mike has been with the team this long and now they though it was a good idea to trade him on the opening of the new season.
“Wow, to who?”
“You won’t believe me when I tell you this.” I was laughing inside when I am thinking that there is no way that the Capitals trade him here.”
“Rangers?” Mike laugh.
“No I have been traded to the Penguins. Can’t you believe that?!”
“Wow, when are you going to see the team?”
“Right now, Capitals send me a car and the plane is waiting for me. I hope that the team finds out before I get there you know what I mean.”
“Yea I know what you mean. So I just got Kaley to bed you want to come over when you guys are done with your trip.”
“Sure, where are we going anyway?”
“Jersey and Nashville.”
“Thanks and sorry about what happen to you.”

Sid’s P.O.V
On the plane waiting for us to take off, I get a strange text from Rebecca.
‘Mike has been traded to the Penguins. So don’t kill him when you see him please for me and Kaley.’
“Are you on the wrong plane?” James cut into my thoughts. When I looked up Mike was standing in the middle of the hallway. I bet Rebecca text James about this but he hasn’t check his phone yet.
“So you haven’t heard the news yet.” Mike said. He sat down in front with no one in that row.
“Coach what’s going on?” Someone in the back asking.
“I do have some news we have traded a couple of our draft pick to have Mike Green with us. Welcome to the Penguins Mike.” Coach walked over and gave Mike a hand shake. It was quiet on the plane ride to Jersey but we did had a long game. I put my head buds in and fell asleep. Once we got to the hotel I just wanted to get some sleep and focus on the game tomorrow. But I need to do one more thing before I go to bed.
“Mike.” Mike was a foot into his room.
“Yeah?” I walked over to him.
“Welcome to the team.” I shook his hand and went to my room. I know that Mike won’t play the first game but I feel sorry for him.
After beating the Devils and Nashville I was just happy to see Rebecca and Kaley. When I walked into the kitchen I se Rebecca was on the phone.
“You can come over around 6 then.Bye.” She hung up the phone and gave me a kiss on the lips.
“Who was that?”
“That was Mike, I though maybe a welcome to Pittsburgh dinner might help him cheer him up from all the text you have giving me.” Rebecca was looking in a cook book.
“Ok, that seems fair. I’m going to take a shower when are you going to pick up Kaley?”
“An hour and then I am going to the store to grab some things.”
“How about I pick her up since I haven’t seen her and you can go to the store.” I think that Rebecca knows that I will try everything to cover up the four years of missing Kaley’s life.
“Sure that will make Kaley very happy.” After a quick shower and heading over to her school. I was hoping that this dinner will go smoothy. I think it’s weird having Rebecca’s ex eating with us but now since he’s going to be a teammate of mine I know I need to put the team in front of this situation. Beside Rebecca loves me more than Mike. Once I pick up Kaley from school we took our time getting home.
“Kaley Uncle Mike is going to have dinner with us.”
“Yea I miss Uncle Mike.” I knew that dinner is going to be some what weird but yet I know that this is going to help Mike feel welcome to a new team. Once we got home, Kaley ran into the house and I was carrying her backpack. I laugh inside because it’s looks so small on me and it’s all covered with all my team mates pictures.
“Nice back pack.” I turn around and I see Mike with a pink box.
“Bear Claws, I though it would be nice way to say thank you for having me over to dinner.” I shook Mike hand and went inside.
“Mike, you here early.” Wrenn spotted me and Mike coming in together. Mike went over to place the Bear Claws on the table.
“Now where’s Kaley.” Mike said a little bit louder.
“Uncle Mike!” She jump out of her room and ran up to him. I handed her backpack.
“Now before you play with Uncle Mike you need to do your homework.” Then Kaley pulled out her bottom lip and Mike did the same thing. I see Rebecca rolled her eyes at them.
“Fine you can play if Mike will help you with your homework.”
“Can you Uncle Mike?” Mike set her down and walked into the dinning room with her backpack. I walked up behind Rebecca and gave her a kiss on the neck.
“How was your day?”
“Good, tomorrow when Kaley is in school. I have some places for me to look at to bring my store over here. One of the stores is right by the 412 store.”
“That’s great Rebecca.”
"Also I did invite James over. He’s bringing Paul, I mean Paul or Geno are glue to James’ hip a lot.” I laugh a little when she told me, it’s true.
“We need to get him a girlfriend.”
“I know right.” I watch Mike and Kaley doing her homework, I was watching clips from the game last night. Looking up and see what I have been become with in a year a farther and a husband. Almost everything I want is coming true. There’s one more thing I need to do before I put up my stakes is win another cup. Not just or the team or myself. I am making this goal for Kaley and Rebecca. I love them with all my heart and I want to do this for them. After a great dinner with the guys, Kaley was getting tried from James, Mike and Paul playing with her while Rebecca and I were cleaning up. When I got Kaley clean and in bed. I hear that Mike hasn’t left yet. I trust Rebecca but I haven’t yet with Mike yet. When I walked out into the kitchen I see that Mike and Rebecca were having some coffee.
“So have you find a place yet?”
“Yea I am it’s really close from here and I will get my stuff tomorrow after our morning stakes.” Mike looked really tired like he hasn’t been sleeping a lot in a couple of days. Looking into Rebecca’s eyes she knew that there something wrong with Mike but can’t place a finger on it.
“You are more then welcome to come when ever you want.” Rebecca place her hand on his. My heart was racing a little.
“Thanks you guys,but I think I should get going. I felt like someone just hit me with a billion bricks right now.”
“Ok be safe on the road.” Rebecca gave him a hug and I gave him a hand shake.

I laid in bed flipping through the channels to see if there’s anything on tv. An old episode of Duck Dynasty was on and there was nothing on.
“That was fun tonight wasn’t it.” Rebecca came out of the bathroom and jump into bed.
“Yea I had a great time with all of you guys and I think Kaley had more fun with the guys playing with her.


Dropping Kaley to school and now heading to the Consol Engery Center. It’s still feels weird to have Mike on our team because he’s been one of the enemy with the Capitals. Since he’s part of my family because of Rebecca and Kaley. Mike hasn’t talk to anyone on the team since being traded to the team. As being the captain of the team, I know that I need to set things right with everyone. When I walked into the dressing room. I see that Mike was getting his stick tape up. Tonight we are going to play the Rangers and we all know we need to win this game so we can take back first place in our division.
“Hey Mike.” Mike looked up to see who called his name.
“Sid.”
“I was wondering if you want to join us after the game to celebrate, well if we win of course. I think Rebecca will be coming with us.”
“Sure.” Once I got back to my stall, I see James walking over to me.
“Dude what are you doing?” He whisper me in my ear.
“Being the captain right now. We all need to work like a team and not make any of us outsiders. We are all treating Mike like an outsider. No matter what he’s part of this team and our family Neal.
After beating the Rangers, getting the media out of the way and on to the best part of the night. Spending time with Rebecca and the team. Rebecca has been stress from trying to get her store here from Portland. I though that this was a great idea for her to get away from just one night. Give a kiss to Kaley before she’s spend the night over at Flower’s place. Then headed over to Dessel. Once we got to the club, I knew deep inside that we are going to have a fun night. Sitting in the VIP with Rebecca, Rebecca was talking to Sutter’s girlfriend I see that Mike can’t take his eyes away from Rebecca. Now I am starring at him and hope that he spots me looking at him looking at Rebecca. He should know by fucking now that she’s mine and no one will take her away from me. Once we got home, it was weird to hear the quiet. I though I would never hear that sound anymore because of what’s going on.
“Come on MVP, I know you want to have your award right now.” Rebecca said a little drunk. Which I don’t care because I was a little tipsy too. She grab my hand and we went into the bedroom.
“Lucky that Kaley’s not here so I can scream out your name so loud it’s not even funny.”
In the morning, I could hear Rebecca’s phone ringing. Or was that my head I couldn’t tell which one. Opening my eyes was a huge mistake. The sun was coming through the curtains.
“Hello?” I hear Rebecca. She wasn’t in bed anymore, so when I got up. Walked out of our room and I see her at the kitchen table with all the paper work for her store to move here.
“Ok, when do I need to come down?” Rebecca turn around and her face had a worried look on her face.
“Ok, Sidney and I are coming down right now.” Wow it’s been awhile since she said my full name. When she got off the phone and headed to the bedroom.
“What’s going on ?”
“It’s Kaley."
