Four Years Later (Squeal to My New Life)

Sid's P.O.V
When Rebecca left I know what I need to do.
"This is Mike."
"It's Sidney you are not going to believe who I just found."
"Rebecca?"
"Yep, she's in Portland. Do you have time to fly over here?"
"Yeah I'll be there tomorrow." After that I called the P.I to find her address. The next day Mike and I parked outside of her house. We stayed in the car and just waited to know what we should do next.
“What does Kaley look like"
"She looks a little but of us so I don't know who the farther could be. Then I see that Kaley was outside playing, she has my lips but has Mike's cheeks. Then I see Rebecca coming out of the house.
"Kaley breakfast's ready."
"Ready?" Mike nodded his head. When we got up to the front door. I ring the door bell and waited. When the door was open I hear her voice.
"Kaley let mommy do that." The door went a little wider. Then she went completely into shock.
"Kaley go eat your breakfast now." She put her down and she run back into the house.
"Hello Rebecca or should I call you Hannah?" I ask.
"How did you find me?"
"Well it took four years to find you."
"Come in." She open the door and let us in. When we walk into her house everything look beautiful. We follow her into the kitchen.
"So her name is Kaley?" Mike ask.
"Yeah."
"So then she has to be my daughter because you said that if had a girl you would name her that."
"Mike I love that name before I met you. Beside her middle name is Lexi not Annie."
"You know why we are here. We have been waiting for four years to know who's the dad." She just nodded her head.
“We just want to know everything about Kaley and why you left. Also why Portland?"
"Well I have Kaley on Oct 11 and so she will be 5. She loves sports and her favorite color is green, black, red and gold. She hate dress all ready so I know she will be a tom boy.
"What do you see more of in her Mike or I?"
"She has your smile but has Mike's laugh. She's had Mike's thick hair but she strong like Sid. She lick her lips like Mike does but she has Sid's passion. Both she has your both stubbornness." Then she came back into the kitchen to hand her the bowl.
"Thank you now get ready for your ice lessons." She nodded her head.
"Kaley." She came back and I could see that she does have my smile.
"These are my best friends, this is Mike and Sid." She laugh a little and run back to get ready.
"Do you want to come with us?"
"Sure why not." We all got into her car and drove to the ice rink. Mike and I were sitting next to each other while Rebecca was helping Kaley with her stakes.
"When I heard her laugh it did sounded like mine." Mike said. When she came back she sat between us. We were watching Kaley staking really good on the ice, better than the rest of the kids on the ice.
"Wow she's doing really good, how long has she been staking?"
"Since she was 2 years old. So I talk to her doctor and she will do the stuff for us today and we will find out by the end of the day."
"So if any of us is the farther will you move back to Pittsburgh or Washington D.C?"
"I haven't though of moving, I love Portland. Beside Kaley's in school but she has fall break on her birthday."
"I wasn't going to make you move tonight when we find out who's the dad." Mike said.
"I'll think about that." After practice we headed to the doctor.
"Why are we here Mommy?"
"I have to met your Dr.Hart." We were all in and Dr.Hart made Kaley open her mouth and swap. Then they had to do it with Mike and I. Rebecca had to drop off Kaley at her friends house for a play date. Mike and I were in the car. She kiss her good bye and she will come back tonight. We got back to her place.
"You never told us why you left Pittsburgh."
"Well I was scared and my brain wouldn't shut up. All I could think that Sid's upset that I slept with Mike when I was drunk. Or that I slept with Sid two weeks after and found out that I might be pregnant with one of you. I had to leave and I know that I can't go somewhere that would remind everything of you two. So that means I had to go to the west and Portland was on the plane tracker and I pick it. I love here." Then her phone was ringing.
"Hello." There was a moment of silence. Rebecca turn around to tell us the news.
"It's Sid. Sid's the farther of Kaley." It felt that all of the air has left the room. Mike got up from the chair and had his hand out.
"Congrats Sid." I shake it and he walk over to Rebecca.
"Even tho I am not the dad, I could be a great uncle for her." She gave him a hug.
"I better go. Don't worry my hotel is only a couple of blocks away." Once he left now I am back with Rebecca all by myself.
"We need to pick up Kaley." I nodded and get back to the car.
"So that means your coming back to Pittsburgh then?"
"I don't know, I mean Kaley has this week off but I wanted to wait until she's done with school."
"Do you want to stay at my place tonight or are you going back to the hotel?"
“No, it would be better if I stay at the hotel , but can I come tomorrow?"
"Yeah we are just going to stay home and watch a couple of football games." When we got back to her play date. When we got to Ka;eye’s play date the mom came to the door.
"Kaley is asleep on the couch. She did eat dinner and so she is fine." The mother of the friend said. Rebecca was going to pick her up.
"Here let me." Her friend was giving me a weird look.
"You do look familiar?"
"Yeah I never told you this but this is Sidney Crosby, Kaley's farther." She was in total shock.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I did remember, I said that I slept with my ex when I was drunk then slept with my boyfriend and left. By the way my name is not Hannah."
"Then what is it then?"
"Rebecca, my middle name is Hannah. I just didn't want Sid to find me." Her friend gave her a smile and a hug.
"Sid this is my best friend Molly. Her daughter's name is Harper. We have know them since they were only two months old. We met at a Mommy and daughter class."
When we got back to her place I put Kaley in her room. She was still asleep. When I walk out of the kitchen Rebecca was getting a glass of water.
"I didn't want to tell Mike this but she looks like you when she sleeps."
"Well I better get going we both had a huge day today." I was walking to the door.
"Sid." I turn around.
"I'm sorry for what I did."
"Just think about it. It would be better to see her more than waiting off season to see her." She nodded her head.
"See you tomorrow.”
In the morning I headed back to their house and I brought some flowers for Rebecca. Kaley was watching cartoons in the living room and Rebecca had NFL pre game on the kitchen tv. I gave Rebecca the flowers.
"Thank you." Then I felt someone pull my finger. It was Kaley.
"Hey Kaley." She grab my finger and was pulling me into the living room to watch tv. It was half time of a game and Kaley was asleep.
"So when does the new season start?"
"Next week."
"When do you have to leave?"
"Tomorrow."
"It would be nice to see James and I think he would love to met Kaley." My heart jump out of my chest.
"Really?"
"Why not?" Rebecca got up and started to pack. After the game I was walking out of the house and to jump 10 feet up in the air.
"Bye daddy." I turn around and there was Kaley waving. Rebecca came behind her and pick her up.
"You need a bath come on." Rebecca wave at me.
"See you tomorrow at the airport."
Once we landed in Pittsburgh, Kaley slept the whole flight. We gotten to my car and headed back to my place.
"I have been gone for 4 years and nothing has change."
"But you did."
