Wishing on a Shooting Star

I put my name in a drawing to win a night with Jamie Benn from the Dallas Stars. The even crazier part is I got the call that I had won! That tonight at 7 pm Jamie Benn will be meeting me at the W hotel in the lobby. To I say I was freaking out was an understatement. I called my best friend Riley, we both screamed and she said she would be over in 10 minutes to help get me ready. Not 10 minutes later there was a knock on my door and I knew that it was Riley. As I opened the door we both screamed. "I can't believe you won!!!" she screamed. "I know! It is so crazy!!" I screamed back. After we finished freaking out I looked at the clock it was5:30. "Shit Riley! I need to start getting ready right now! I have to leave in one hour!!" I said as I started walking toward my room. As she walked toward my closet to pick out my outfit I walked to the shower to jump in. I decided to wash my hair, and shave everything. I didn't know where this night might go so I wanted to be prepared. I took my time making sure not to cut my leg because that is the last thing I need. I stepped out of the shower and wrapped myself in the shower. I wrapped my hair in a towel and walked back out into my room. Riley had an outfit laid out on my bed. It was a black dress that hugged my ass and actually made it look like I had boobs. Along with some high black pumps that extent my legs and made them look even longer then they are originally. "That is a kick ass outfit Riley!" I said as I walked over to get some undergarments for my dress. I decided on black lace undergarments again just in case. "I know this is what I do best!" she said. "Well I now need you to work your magic on my hair and my make up!" I said as I walked back into my bathroom to get my make-up out. "Okay I think I'm going to curl your hair and then do the smoky eye make-up because of the black dress that we are going with." She said as she began drying my hair so that she could curl it. "Okay that sounds good! I'm just trying to bring my A game!" I said we just started laughing. 20 minutes later we were done with my hair and make-up and I have to say that it looked great! Now it was time for me to put on my outfit and put on the final touches before looking at myself in the mirror. "Oh my gosh Riley I look great! Thank you so much for helping me!" I said turning to my best friend and hugging her. "Of course! it isn't every day that your best friend get to have dinner with Jamie Benn for crying out loud!" she said. I looked at the clock in my room, it was6:35. "Oh shit Riley I've got to go!" I said I quickly grabbed my phone off my dresser and threw that with some lip gloss and my keys in my purse. "Okay well I expect a text later tonight! I want to know how it goes!" she said "Oh trust me you will know as soon as there is anything for me to say!" I said. She walked up the stairs to the 8th floor as I waited on the elevator to take me down to the parking lot. As the doors closed this was the beginning of the night I would never forget, the night that started it all.

I arrived at the W hotel a t6:56 and the valet parked my car. I walked in and was greeted by the man of the dreams. "Hey I'm Jamie you must be Bri?" he said as he step toward me. "Yes, that would be me. It is really nice to meet you." I said smiling at him trying now to blush. "It is nice to meet you too. How about we go start dinner?" he asked, "Sure, I could eat." I said he smiled at me before offering me his arm and he led us to where we would be having dinner. We walked into a very nice restaurant and we were immediately we were rushed to a private table in the back. He pulled my chair out for me. "thank you" I said he just nodded and smiled back at me. "Are you a man of few words?" I asked as he sat down. he just chuckled " I guess that you could say that." he said. The waiter came up to the table, "What can i get you two to drink tonight?" he asked. "Umm ladies first." Jamie said looking at me. "Umm can I have a cosmo extra cold?" I asked the waiter just nodded and wrote it down. "I'll take a rum and coke please." Jamie said the waiter just nodded again and walked away. "Have you ever been here before?" Jamie asked looking up at me. "No I haven't what about you?" I asked. "Yea I have, I would suggest the steak it is really good, if you are into that stuff, I guess I should have asked if you were a vegetarian or not first." he rambled one. "No really it’s okay, I like steak no worries." I said smiling at him. I couldn't believe that he would be nervous; he is Jamie Benn for crying out loud, I am just some girl from Texas. "So I'm guessing you watch hockey since you seem to know who I am." he said as he put the menu down on the table, "Yea, I've been watching with my dad since I was 3, Dallas Stars have always been my team. My dad would freak out if he knew that I was sitting here with the captain." I said "Wow, so you have been a fan for a while, which means you know a lot about hockey." he said sounding somewhat impressed. "Yea I mean I guess so, I'm not totally into just for the good looking guys I promise.' I said making him laugh. "That’s good to know, I was worried there for a minute." he said making us both laugh together. The waiter brought our drinks and took our orders We both ended up ordering the steak, "You know this might be weird to say but I like when girls order real food, not like salads and stuff because I know that they don't only eat that." he said "I'm glad you feel that way, I was worried that you were going to think I'm so fat ass who just liked to eat a lot." he smiled over at me. "You are pretty funny." he said "I'm glad you think so, sometimes people think I'm a little harsh." I replied before taking a drink of my cosmo. "I don't think I told you but you look beautiful tonight." he said I of course starting blushing. "Well thank you, I mean I had to do my best to be able to stand up next to someone as good looking as you." I said in response. "Well thank you." We continued to enjoy our dinner talking about little things not really getting to know each other on a super deep level. As the bill came and Jamie paid I started to get sad because I knew this night was about to end. We both got up and started to walk out of the restaurant as we were waiting on our cars Jamie turned to look at me. "Hey, this might be weird but I had a really great time with you tonight and I was wondering if maybe I could get your number so we could hang out again?" he asked, "Oh wow, sure! I would love to do this again, I'm kinda shocked that you are asking but sure." I said. He handed me his phone where I typed in my number. "Here I will text you really quick so you can have mine too." he said as he typed in something. Not two seconds later did my phone go off in my hand, I opened the message and it said hey beautiful. His car pulled up with was a mustang as my truck pulled up behind it. "You drive a truck?" he asked looking at me with a questing face. "Yea, Texas born and raised!" I said. "That's really cool." he said as he walked me to my car. "Well I will text you don't worry about that but we won't be able to go out for a couple days." he said "yea, I know you guys go on road trip tomorrow, trust me I will be watching!" I said. he laughed "I keep forgetting you are into hockey." he laughed "Okay well I'll let you go since you've got a flight tomorrow," I said as i climbed into my truck "goodnight Bri" he said before kissing me on the check "Goodnight Jamie" I said smiling back. I tried to control myself as I drove back to my apartment i knew that Riley would be waiting on me. I pulled into my parking spot at my apartment complex. As I was getting out of my car I got a text. I looked at my phone and I was surprised to see that it was a text from Jamie. [hey, just wanted to say that I had a really good time tonight. Can't wait to do it again. Let me know when you get home I to make sure that you get home safe.] It literally took everything in me to not wreck the car I was so excited. I pulled my truck into my parking spot and ran up the stairs. I got into my apartment and took a breath before texting Jamie back. [thank you for being concerned with my safety. I just got home safe and sound, I had a really good time with you too. I hope that we can do it again soon.] I hit send not wanting to spend too much time over thinking it. I quickly called Riley on FaceTime. Her face popped up on my screen and she had a huge smile on her face. "Okay I'm all yours tell me everything!" She said. "It was amazing, he I s such a gentleman. He offered me his arm when I first go there, he pulled out my chair for me, he let me order first. We just talked and joked around he told me I looked beautiful. Then he paid and he walked me to my car and was impressed that I drove a truck, and then he asked me for my number. So we are texting, he said we would hang out after they got back from their road trip and then. He texted me. And wanted to make sure I got home safe." I said I could feel my smile getting bigger every time I said something else about him, "you are glowing! Wait was there no kiss?" She asked kinda having a shocked face. “oh, he kissed me the cheek. After he opened my door and helped me into the car." I said. "I so hope you guys hang out after he gets back." She said. My phone buzzed and I saw Jamie's name come up on my phone. “that’s him texting me right now!" I said "okay, I'm gonna let you go so that you can get your flirt on! Also so you can go to bed, I'll see you tomorrow at the office." Riley said we both said bye before ending the call. As I got off the bed to head to the shower I clicked my messages to see what Jamie has said back. [I'm glad you made it home safe. I've got to head to bed cause I've got to be up early for the flight out tomorrow. Just wanted to say goodnight and thank you for coming out with me tonight I really enjoyed myself.] I just smiled before I replied quickly before jumping into the shower. [thank you for tonight and for dinner it was fantastic. Good luck tomorrow if I don't hear from you. Hope you guys have a safe flight and I'll be watching you guys tomorrownight. Goodnight Jamie] I replied before jumping into the shower and then after getting straight into bed. I had worktomorrowand I couldn't wait to possible hear from Jamie tomorrow.
