Meet The Toews

As we speak there are trillions of organisms in the world. There are 3.7 billion people on this earth. 1.3 of them are in exstreme poverty making $2.50 a day. 22,000 kids die a day from starvation. I'm lucky to be a 7% in living in a first world country, America. In America there are 3.5% of people who are millionaires. I'm lucky to belong to one; My dad, Jonathan Toews.

My family is "simple" as you can get. I'm 14 years old a girl, Katie. I currently live with my my dad, and his girlfriend My model mom, Lindsey Vecchione lives with my twin brother. We live in "Lincoln Park". Which is a neighborhood in Chicago Illinois. We have no pets, we don't have time for much but for hockey.

I'm an eight grader-centermen-assistant-captain for the Lincoln Park Academy's varsity hockey team. I'm the youngest person on my team by about 2 years. My brother Jacob is on the JR varsity team for LPA, my dad, Jonathan Toews is ranked no. 2 in the NHL, and my mom models for sport magazines.

About my dad. Jonathan Davis Toews is okay. He's gone not as often as you may think. He's boring, all he talks about is me or Jacob. My dad is like a little puppy dog, a victim of my moms bullying. He's a centermen and a captain on his Chicago Blackhawks team. My dad likes to have get togethers with his fellow teammates every week. Occasionally invites his other NHL friends over if they are in town. He has a girlfriend, but we'll get into that later. That's the basics of father Toews.

My mother Lindsey.. We don't get along all to well. She and Jacob are like best friends. They are like my dad and I. I can safely say she likes Jacob more than me. I say she caused my dads divorce. My mom had a couple of male "friends" stay for sleepovers if you know what I mean. Frankly my mom is also mean. She is super judgey and crabby.

My best buddie Jacob. My ferturnal twin bro. We can tell each other anything. We get along so well. Well except when it comes to our parents. He underestimates himself. Sometimes I feel bad for him. He doesn't put himself out there. Jacob could be sitting by the popular athletes... But instead he sits by the gamers or the drama club. He basically just hangs out with me or mom. Jacob gets into altercations with my dad often. My dad thinks he could be doing better things in life.

Sweet, sweet Shay. I LOVE my dads girlfriend. She gives me great advice. We always go on lunch dates on the weekends. A lot of times when daddy J is gone we have pizza parties (Jon does not approve of unhealthy foods). She works at her own business. It's a boutique called, "Lincoln Ladies". Let's not tell her this but she kind of over prices things. You don't need to sell leggings for $127.99 dollars.

Patrick Kane. Is one of my dads best friends. He is a four year old trapped in an adults body. I have no idea what his partner, Amanda sees in him. Don't get my wrong he's funny. But... Patrick is not the brightest crayon in the box. I go to his house about 2 times a week. I sleepover there a couple times a week when Amanda has to watch me or if my dad hangs with him tell late at night.

Finally all you need to know is Patrick Sharp. He has a wife, Abby. Abby and Sharpy are my god parents. They have two daugters. One of them, Madelyn is 17. The other, Sadie is in my grades don't goes to the same school as. Sadie is one of my best friends, she only does like academic stuff. I go to the Sharp household 3-4 times each week because 1.My dad 2.Sadie 3.Abby watches me a lot when my dad is away.

I hadn't realized tell I turned 14 how lucky I truly am.
