Meet The Toews

"Hey Katie, it's me Olivia""Hey Liv!"

"Thanks Grifyn!" I could feel my cheeks burning.
"Katie, hey!"
"Hi Katie! I will see you in first hour!" I flashed Kyle a thumbs up.
"Hey Katie Toews! My favorite friend!"
"Haha thanks Kelsey!" My friends are the bomb.

"What's up?"

"Walking into school in the hallways each morning on a daily basis is a struggle. Right Jacob?" I said as we were just getting to and opening our lockers.
"Well it is for you." Jacob slammed his locker and ran away. I have no idea what his problem is!
"I'll see you in first hour Jacob!" I screamed down the hallway.

Yay! Omg, my crush is walking towards me! "Hey, Mason!"
"Hey Katie! Let me walk you to first hour science." My heart melted I felt week at the knees. I couldn't say anything, he put me in a trance...
"Katie? Katie...? Katie!?"
"Oh yeah sure." Half way to the classroom I zoned him out tell I heard him talking about the Blackhawks. All I could focus on was his soft diamond blue eyes.
"Are you gonna check out the game tonight since your dad is playing?"
"Yeah. Jacob is actually going to warmup with the Blackhawks!"
"Are you?"
"No I am just going to watch the game from the suites."
"Sweet! After you." Mason said as he opened the door for me.

I looked inside the classroom and Jacob was at a lab table. He looked really said.
"Sorry Mason, I got to go see what's going on with my brother." Mason just waved good bye.
"Hi Katie!"
"Oh sorry Levi I gotta talk to Jacob!"
"Hey Toews!"
"Sorry Jules I have to talk to Jacob!"
"Hey!"
"Hi." Geez people in my school are really friendly.

"Jacob what is wrong?" I was trying to talk to him tell I got approached by some people. "Hey is it true you get to watch the Blackhawks game from a suite?"
"Yeah, Jacob and I watch from there every time we go to a game! Jacob is actually going to warmup with the Blackhawks!"
"OMG are you Katie?"
"No."
"Oh. It'd be cool if you did" The group of six looked disappointed and strolled away.

Jacob stood up and walked to a different lab shaking his head.
"Hey girl!" I waved back to a girl that I wasn't familiar with her name.

All day I told everyone to watch Jacob tonight! I put it on my Twitter, Instagram, and AskFM. I'm not stupid I know why Jacob is mad. He's jealous that he doesn't get to stay in the suite. So I am trying to make the warmup look cool!

"Come on we have to go pick up Jacob at Lindsey's."
"Okay, dad!" I yelled as I was running down the steps.
"We're going to be late!"
"Oh my gosh I know."

"Here's the keys go start up the car."
"Okay"

As I was waiting for my dad to gather up his final things I was thinking... Should I ask for advice with Jacobs sassy additive recently?
"Dad?"
"Yes hun?"
"Jacob has been acting really strange, like mean strange when I try saying simple things to him!"
"Oh I don't know? Ask Abby?" See, I didn't think my dad was capable of giving me simple advice!

"Okay Katie go knock on Lindsey's door." We had just pulled up to the apartment building.
"She's lives in an apartment.."
"So it will give you exercise." He reached across my lap and opened the door.
"Can't I just call him?"
"Give me your phone!"
"Fine!" My dad grabbed it and put it in his suit pocket.
"Hurry up!" I got out and slammed the door.

I started knocking on my moms apartment door, "Jacob, Jacob, Jacob, Jacob, Jacob, Ja-"
"What!" Jacob opened the door abruptly.
"Hurry up and grab your hockey gear!" Jacob slammed the door in my face. I started to knock again. He opened the door and ran down the hall into the elevator. That was the only elevator that was working so I had to use the staircase. Great 5 flights of stairs. What a workout...

"Where were you young lady? It took you longer than you should have!"
"Ask Jacob!"
"Jacob?"
"I thought maybe she would fall down the stairs and die if I used the elevator!"
"See dad he's being rude." I said folding my arms.

"WELCOME TO THE BLACKHAWKS GAMEEEEE! WARMING UP WITH THE BLACKHAWKS IS JONATHANS TOEWS SON, JACOB!"
"Yeah!" I screamed as loud as I could!" I checked my pockets for my phone so I could call Sadie to see if she could get me a soda. I forgot my dad had my phone. "Abby I'm going to go find Sadie."
"Okay stay safe Katie!"

I turned around and there was Sadie she spoke before I could get the chance.
"Hey! Some cute boys are here to watch Jacob, and other people from school!"
"Omg that's great Sade!"

"Oh look haha! Jacob got a break away!" Sure enough he did! Jacob was just crossing center ice full speed puck handling the best I've ever seen him do. The crowd was cheering so loud! A future hawk was among them! The puck went loose! Jacob tripped on the puck! He snapped his stick! Jacob went head first into the ice! The crowd went silent. He wasn't moving. Oh no I stood up finding a way to get down to the ice.
