Confessions of An Ice Girl

I made a pot of tea and sat down to watch the Pens game in Dallas. James was on the screen giving an interview with Potash. I smiled and slipped on his hoodie. I loved the smell of his cologne. The game went to commercial, so I got up to grab something to eat. I was fixing up a snack when the doorbell rang. "Who could that even be..." I said opening the door

"Abby, how are you..." Ava froze staring at James' hoodie "Why is your hoodie so big."

"Oh. I just like the feeling of an oversized hoodie." I laughed

"Oh. So I was thinking, if you miss try-outs, you can have my spot on the team. I've been meaning to go home to Albuquerque and-"

"Ava, I won't be coming back."

"But..."

"Ava." I sighed closing my eyes "I'm not going to be coming back because I'm pregnant. With James Neal's baby."

Ava's eyes widened "What?"

"Neal and I...we had sex. A month or two ago. It just kind of happened. I got pregnant and now...well we're together."

"You're dating James Neal..."

I nodded, "Yeah."

"Does Mya know?"

"I plan on coming clean when I officially resign next week."

"Abby, you can't quit because of him!"

"I'm quitting for me. I'd rather quit and leave with some dignity, than get fired for sleeping with a player. This option protects both me and James. I want to have this baby and I want to be with him. He isn't making me do this. I am doing this."

Ava nodded "Okay. If this is really want you want, I guess I'm happy for you."

"This is what I want. James is great."

"I thought he was an arrogant ass and you couldn't stand him?"

I laughed "Yeah that's true. But he is also amazing."

"I can't believe you're with him."

"Me either. Ava, you have to promise to keep this a secret."

"I promise."

"No one can know just yet."

"Okay." Ava nodded

I smiled "Want some tea? I made some to watch the game."

"I probably got to get home. I'll see you?"

I nodded and Ava headed out. I grabbed my snack from the counter and headed back to watch the game. The Pens won 4-2. James had gotten a goal. I smiled and started getting ready for bed. I grabbed my phone just as soon as a message popped up.

James- Hey.
Abby- Hey. Good game!
James- Thanks:) can I come over when we get home? Coach gave us an off-day tomorrow.
Abby- Yeah. I'll leave the door unlocked for you.
James- Okay. I'll see you then, Abby.
Abby- Okay, James. See you soon.

I smiled and got in bed, laying my head on the pillow and falling asleep.

I woke up to the feeling of James' arm sliding around me. I rolled over and smiled at him "Hi."

"Sorry, Abby...I didn't mean to wake you."

"It's okay, James." I said smiling at him

James smiled and kissed me "You watched the game, eh?"

I nodded "You played great."

"Thanks." James smiled. I smiled back up at him as he kissed me again. I kissed him back and slowly got on top of him. His hands slowly moved up my stomach and he sat up, with me still in his lap. He pulled my shirt off and moved my hair behind my back before he kissed my neck.

"James..." I moaned, before pushing him back down on the bed. James smiled at me as I started pulling his boxers off. I ran my hands up his chest and leaned down kissing him again. I felt him grab onto my hips and before I knew it, he was on top of me.

"You sure you wanna do this?" he asked

I nodded, "Yeah."

James smiled and he slipped my panties off with one hand before slowly pushing himself inside of me. I bit my lip and James gave me a concerned look "Are you okay?"

"I'm okay. Don't stop." I pulled James closer and kissed him as he slowly moved inside of me. "You feel amazing."

"So do you." James replied speeding up his pace. It didn't take long for him to send me over the edge and shortly after I climaxed, he did as well. He rolled off of me and smiled over at me "Abby?"

"Yeah?"

"I told Paul. About us."

"You did? What did he say?" I asked sitting up

"I didn't tell him you were pregnant, but I told him we're dating. He said he's happy for us."

"I told Jordyn...and Ava."

James looked over at me "What did they say?"

"They think you're making me quit."

James sat up "Abby, that's not what I..."

"I know, James. That's what I told them."

"Did you tell them you're pregnant?"

I nodded, "Yeah."

James nodded, "Abby?"

"Yeah?"

"My parents are coming down tomorrow...my parents and my sister. I want you to meet them."

My eyes widened "Meet your parents?"

"I know this is sudden, but I really like you, Abigail. I'm serious about this. About us...and since we are having a child together...I figured now is better than later."

I nodded "I mean you're right...I just...what if they don't like me?"

"They'll like you, Abby."

"Okay." I smiled kissing him

James smiled "Awesome. Thank-you, Abby. This means so much to me."

"You're welcome, James. Goodnight."

"Night, Abby."
