Move Over
Chapter Twenty-Four: Fight
*2 months Later*
"What the hell do you want from me!" Alek yelled, making Tuukka flinch. His anger was visible on his face, it bubbled through his veins until he was literally seeing red.
"I want you admit you slept with him, you dirty lying wh-" she cut him off by slapping him, he was about to say the only thing no one's ever called her in America. A whore. She wasn't a whore, she could count the men she'd slept with on one hand.
"Don't you fucking dare say that," She snapped in his face, her anger becoming out of control with his.
"Bite. Me. Bitch." His words hissed through the silence.
She stood there, wide eyed. He hadn't said that. She was dreaming, any second now she'd wake up with Tuukka beside her, smiling as he played with her hair. Like every morning. However, this was no dream. It was a cold reality.
They hadn't fought in 3 months, not like this. All because, she kissed Tyler's cheek while they were going for a drink......as friends! Tuukka jumped to insane conclusions like, she slept with him, she'd been dating him the whole time, and that she wanted him more than Tuukka.
"Well....." Her face was hard but, her voice was weak "I see you've made your decision"
She hadn't uttered more hard words in her life. She loved him, she didn't want to leave, she just wanted things to be better.
Tuukka hadn't realized what he said until he saw tears rolling down her cheeks. He just watched silently as she pulled on boots and winter coat. He whimpered silently as she slammed the door behind her.
He didn't go after her, he didn't beg her to come back. He just stood there looking at the spot she was standing moments ago. He cursed himself for loosing the only thing he really cared about that wasn't family. But, she was gone. He didn't deserve her, Seguin did. He was smarter, faster, stronger and more deserving.
"Mitä olen tehnyt?!" he yelled, covering his face with his hands. {What have i done?!}
He just screwed up the only thing that mattered.
"What's wrong with me!" Alek yelled out at Bergeron.
It was the warm up and she was letting in every soft shot that was taken on her. Her self-esteem went from skyhigh to microscopic within seconds. She knew something was wrong with her concentration. It was Tuukka, he was clouding her mind with unanswered questions.
Was he glad I was gone? Is he enjoying being single again? Is he broken like me? Did he actually love me?
She didn't know the answer to any of those questions or the dozens more that her mind thought up. Which left her guessing at the answers.
She shook her head, trying to get the thoughts out, concentrating on the puck. It worked for seconds, then another question popped into her head. Did he ever love me?
And like that Kaspars scored.
"Are you okay?" Bob, the goal tending coach asked, she groaned.
"Does it look like it?" She snapped, instantly regretting it, "I'm sorry" Alek sighed, pulling herself out of the split position tossing a puck to the side.
"You know, it would help if you focused on something that would take your mind off Tuukka"
She gave him a confused look. How in the hell did he know we were together? They hid it well from management. They didn't look after the players 24/7, so they didn't know when Tuukka made nighttime visits to Alek. Plus, they did always put the goalies together when rooming so, they didn't know that they made out while they were on trips, how could he know.
"Tuukka has the same problem, he can't get his mind off of a certain goalie named Alek" Bob skated away, leaving Alek alone with her thoughts.
She inhaled heavily as the game started, she focused on the Hurricane's players. The Staal Brothers, Jeff Skinner and Alexander Semin.
In the first period she let in 3, on 24 shots. She was doing terrible in her mind.
"Pull me!" She whispered-yelled to Claude, pointing to Tuukka,
"I can't, I'm screwed up in the brain, I can't focus" She gripped her head as he glared her down. Her mind was a tornado of 'what if's and 'does he's.
"You're going out there and you're going to focus, play your hardest, if not, you're considered traded" His words made her insane temper flare, she contemplated punching him but, she thought better of it.
"Fine, asshole" she muttered and skated out to goal.
The puck dropped and Jordan Staalsy brought it past Chara, passed it to Chad Larose. Who, took a 5 hole shot, which she stopped with no problem. She was certain she let it in, but, she tightened up, and felt it in her right pad. She pushed away the urge to scream like a little girl. She had saved, a good shot! Not a soft one but, an actual hard one.
Tuukka could go fuck himself, She knew she was amazing! Tuukka knew it, Chad Larose knew it, the Bruins knew it, and The NHL knew it. Everyone fucking knew it.
