Beautiful Disaster

Summary

Well guys, here it is - the official diary of Catherine Leni Crosby, a.k.a, Sidney Crosby's wife and baby(s) mama. Truth is, I never expected to settle down, get married, and have 6 kids before I hit 25, and I don't think Sid was expecting any kids before he won the Stanley Cup, but it's truly amazing what you learn about people when you get knocked up on the first date. (I didn't even know he played hockey literally till I was 3 months pregnant.

I grew up in Dallas, Texas (and yes - I beak Sid whenever they loose to the stars - what a horrible wife, I know). I am a pediatric doctor at the Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, but I only work a couple times a week since the kids. I have 6 siblings, which is the main reason I want so many kids, because of my great childhood. My little sister Jenna died when she was 15 (3 years ago) of a brain tumour, shortly after my first child was born, and my older sister Steph died in a plane crash, but I didn't have much to do with her anyway. I have twin sisters, Kendalynn and Kylie, they just turned 20, and they got all the looks in the family (even though people think we are identical triplets). Lastly, my older brother Daniel, who just turned 30. He recently married his high school sweetheart Sydney, and had a baby 3 months ago, Caydence.

My parents Lily and Brent where the parents every child wanted. They where always at every one of our sports games, let us go shopping whenever, paid for all of us kids to go to college, seriously the only reason us kids didn't turn into crack heads growing up in Texas. When I first moved to Pittsburgh, Kendalynn and Kylie moved with me to go to college, which Kylie is now a kindergarten teacher, and Kendalynn is a paramedic.

Now for my husband. I met Sid 3 years ago in a little cafe downtown. We got pregnant with our first child, and he proposed when I was 7 months along, and we got married a year later. We both always new we wanted a big family, and it appears our wish came true. Although he missed the birth of one of our twin girls, he came running through the door a minute later to watch the other one be born. (Although I bet deep down he wished to miss them all because am I ever the biggest bitch when I'm in pain).

Now for a little on our kids. Our oldest son Bennett James is now 3 years old. His favourite sport is gymnastics and soccer - and he despises hockey (even though he loves watching Sid play). A day after I had Ben, I had a blood clot spread to my brain, causing me to stroke and be in a coma for a couple weeks. I was expected to die, but the day before Sid was going to take me off life support, I woke up. A year after he was born, Sid started bringing me coffee to work every day, which led us to meeting our second child, Lyla Grace, who was 8 months old at the time. She was imported from Africa living in a foster home with a heart condition, which she is now perfectly healthy. We instantly new she would be the prefect addition for our family. She recently learned how to walk, and probably has the vocabulary of a 5 year old. 9 months after adopting Lyla, we got pregnant with our twins, Aubree Danielle and Kinsley Carson, who were delivered via c-section, 2 months early. They just started crawling and are already saying some sentences. (We make extremely smart kids apparently). And lastly, Jackson Daniel and Aliannah Jayde, also twins. Sid and I agreed to wait couple years before even considering more kids, but a month after the twin girls where born, boom - we're pregnant! So currently, I am 9 months pregnant and the size of an elephant:(
