I woke up early in the morning as usual I pulled on some black breeches and a blue shirt. I walked down the stairs tying my hair up in a quick scruffy bun and pulled on my tall riding boots. With so many animals to look after its better to be up early to get all the skipping out and bedding done so you can focus in riding. There were no lessons today so my coach Andrew was coming over so I’ll be ready for next competing season, there is a lot of work to be done and Sisu needs the exercise as do most of the other horse they need to be kept in the best condition after all they are 4star eventers. I started cleaning my horse’s beds, it was raining heavily so I decide to keep the horses and pony’s in. I gave them all their morning feed which was a task since they all have different requirements but I don’t have to do the school horses and ponies as the girls do them. After I cleaned and fed my horses I ran back to my house to avoid being soaked to have some breakfast, I decided on a slim blend protein shake and a bowl of yoghurt with raspberry’s. while eating a got a text through on my phone from Vero, here’s my address xx-xxxx street see you at 6. Great I better plan an outfit and Sidney is going to be there, I can’t goo looking a mess and smelling like horse poop. After I finished my breakfast I walked out the house running into Mia.
“Morning Elle.”
“Morning Mia” I replied.
“What’s to be done today?” she asked.
“Just the school horses and ponies, Hannah isn’t here yet” I replied.
“Great” Mia responded.

We walked into the barn together and I walked into Sisus’ stable and took his lightweight maroon rug off him and putting it on the rug rail on his stable door. I left his stable shutting the door behind me to get his dressage saddle and his regular bridle. I walked back to his stable putting his bridle on a hook and his saddle on a rack that all the stables have. I gave him a quick brush and wrapped his legs and put overreach boots on his front legs. I put his bridle on and then his saddle, as I was tightening his girth Andrew walked into the barn.
“You ready for today” he asked.
“yeah I am, just dressage to day and some grid work using poles.”
“sounds like a plan” he said.

I brought Sisu out and took him to the mounting block outside the indoor school. I got on him and went into the school where Andrew had set up some poles. I did a quick warm up and got to work, we did some trotting poles and canter poles as well as using them to loosen all his muscles and joints. We then started dressage work, flying changes, pirouettes, half passes. working on extended canter but also collecting it. We had a good coaching session for a couple of hours and it was 12, o’clock. I cooled Sisu down as Andrew left and untacked him. I rode a few more horses and It soon was 4, o’clock. I walked back to the house and had a quick shower and changed into my outfit. I did a full coverage makeup like I always do when I wear it. I straightened my hair and it was 5.30. I left the house and made my way to Vero and Marc’s home.

I arrived just as it turned 6 and knocked on the door.
“hey” Vero answered opening the door “some in Sid is already hear and by the way you look amazing.” We kissed each other cheeks and mark came over doing the same thing saying hi as well. We walked into the kitchen and Sid was sat at the breakfast bar with a beer. He said hi and gave me a brief hug kissing me on both cheeks.
“would you like a drink?” Vero asked me
“yeah sure, what do you have” I replied
“red or white wine” she responded
“red please” she poured us both glasses and we went to have a chat in the living room while we dinner was finishing up in the oven.
“where are the kids?” I asked her
“Estelle is at a sleepover and Scarlett is with one of the wives we are all like that looking after each other’s kids.” We continued to have a conversation until we were shouted for dinner. We sat down at the table and I was sat next to Sidney, we all slipped into a nice conversation the boys talking about hockey before I was asked about horses. Yeah its going really well getting ready for next season and the Olympics. Sidney seemed impressed when I said Olympics. It soon got late and it was time to leave, I said good bye to everyone. I had just got out the door when I felt someone tap my shoulder.
“Oh hey Sidney”
“hey um I just wanted to give you my number you know for reasons” he scratched the back of his head awkwardly it was kind of cute, he seemed rather nervous.
“okay sure” he handed me a slip of paper and quickly kissed me on the cheek before he went to his car
“By the way you can call me Sid you know, um text me sometime” he got in his car then drove away, god he was cute when nervous. I got in my car and drove home thinking about him.
