Two weeks in Toronto

chapter 1

Ellie
I was sat at my desk applying my make up before I had to pack it up in my suitcase, I had decided to take a two and a bit weeks’ holiday in Toronto I was arriving on Friday the 5th of April and leaving Monday the 22nd of April 18 days in total, including the travel days. I finished applying my make up and quickly packed it up and put on my outfit for the day, I grabbed my suitcases and my back pack and went down stairs.
“ellie I don’t want you to go” my mum said to me
“well it’s a bit late now since I’m meant to be leaving today”
“why couldn’t you have gone somewhere in Europe”
“I’m pretty sure the crime rate in Europe is much higher than in Toronto” I told her. At that moment, a phone call alerted me that the taxi taking me to the airport had arrived. I walked out the house saying goodbye to my mum and sister, placing my suitcases in the car boot and then getting in the passenger’s seat. The trip to the airport didn’t take long, I got out of the taxi and got my bags. I was flying from Newcastle to London then London to Toronto. I checked my bags in and waited till boarding. Boarding was called and I took my seat on the plane the flight lasted about an hour and I had a one hour wait for my flight to Toronto. After a quick drink the boarding was called to Toronto. I took my seat on the plane which was a window seat, I watched take off from my window the flight was 7 hours long but luckily the flight was during the day and I wold arrive in Toronto at 4.
I arrived in Toronto tired after my 10 hours of travelling, a had pre-booked a car to take me to the apartment I was renting for my stay. Not long after getting in the car with my bags I arrived at the apartment meeting the owners, they gave me run down of the rules which were mostly keep it tidy and neat they handed me the keys and I unlocked the apartment door, it was amazing. it had a large open plan living room/kitchen it had two bathrooms. One bathroom was an En-suite to the main bedroom and there was a second bedroom which I didn’t need but when I was looking online I knew I had to rent it. There was a balcony off the master bedroom with water views. It was really modern and had a huge flat screen TV and it also had free Wi-Fi. I’m going to be posting to Instagram loads this trip. Toronto was quickly turning into my favourite city in the world.
