One-Shot Stories

22-year-old Jamie was living a pretty awesome life for such a young chick: she recently graduated from Georgetown University with honors, accepted a job as a sports reporter for the Washington Post, and is even dating Stanley Cup champion Tom Wilson of the Washington Capitals. The two of them met when Jamie was interning with the paper and she was asked to interview Tom's teammate T.J. Oshie at the beginning of the year.

The 2018-19 NHL season would be underway soon, and Jamie was super excited for her career to begin. She was expected at Capitals practice outside D.C. to do a column for the paper and was already running behind. As Jamie opened the door to her brownstone to leave, she saw Tom, "Baby! Why are you here?"

"I got suspended six games for the illegal head shot that happened in preseason and I'm freaking pissed," Tom answered, storming in.

Jamie sighed. She loved her boyfriend dearly, but was getting so tired of him constantly in trouble with the league. She needed to get to the rink to report on practice, but closed the door, "Tom, we need to talk about this."

"Talk about what, babe? Tell me," Tom stated.

"About you ALWAYS getting suspended for these illegal hits. I love you, but you need to knock it off. I get hockey I extremely physical, but you need to stop hurting people. Concussions are serious and they could ruin your head for a long time. This latest suspension better teach you some sort of lesson," Jamie explained.

Tom nodded, "I just love playing so much and I guess I do tend to be a bit too physical in my play. I'll work on it while I'm home."

"Good. I'm already twenty-five minutes late to the rink. My editor is going to kill me," Jamie said.

Tom watched her pull out her phone. He took it, put the silent ringer on, and interlocked their fingers, "Isn't there something, or someone, you'd rather do instead?"

"Baby, I have to get to work. I am supposed to interview Alex today about the Cup. Can't it wait until tonight? We still have two days before the home opener to do whatever we want," Jamie added.

Tom leaned in and kissed her neck, knowing just how weak it made her. He loved seeing her fall for him and the feeling it gave her. He traced his fingertips up and down her arm, seeing the shivers, "Something indicates you want me. Come on, babe, please."

Jamie was so weak in her knees, she could not wait any longer, "You and me in the bedroom, now."

Tom and Jamie may have been frustrated about his suspension, but things are going to soon be relieved very simply.

I'm so sorry the first chapter was so short. My class was cancelled tonight, but I've been battling a possible concussion for the last two days. I'll make the last two chapters better!
