Got It All In The End

And It All Comes Crashing Down

She was starting to feel better. She was glad she had decided to go shopping. Shopping was therapeutic to her, weather she was stressed or something irritated the hell out of her. She found that shopping seemed to help her get out of her funk. And before you assume anything no she didn't go shopping on Jack's dime, he didn't give her a credit card to just go shopping. She used her own money to go shopping, although it didn't always use to be this way. She stopped by one more of her favorite stores before she left the mall. Grabbing a couple bottles of her favorite body wash.

Throwing her bags into the back of her vehicle she shut the back and got in the drivers seat. Putting the key in the ignition she pulled off and headed back to her's and Jacks house. It was actually Jacks house, but as soon as he had asked her to move in. He had insisted that it was 'their house', just one of the many things he did that made her feel happy and that something was hers.

Pulling up to the house she noticed that there were a few more vehicles in the driveway than there were when she left. That meant the boys were there which brang a smile to her face. She loved the boys, not as much as she loved Jack. But they came in a close second. When she had first meet Jacks teammates she had felt nervous and had been slightly worried. But luckily for her the boys had taken right to her and immidately liked her. They had taken her under their wings and made her feel right at home and like a sister to all of them. Even their wives and girlfriends, well most of them made her feel welcome right away when she had meet them.

She looked around the driveway and saw that Cams car was still there and was now joined by Umbys SUV, John Moores truck, James Wieniewski's truck, Jared Bolls car, and a couple others that she thought she knew. But wasn't positive or not of who they belonged too. Turning off her vehicle and getting out, she walked around to the back and pulled out her bags. Shutting the back, she made her way into the house. She could hear laughter coming from the den area, she set her bags down and made her way that way.

Walking into the den she found the boys sitting around on the couches and chairs and the floor around the room. They all looked comfortable and had obviously made themselves at home. She found her blond head boyfriends head and walked up behind him. He hadn't noticed that she was home yet. She stood behind him and placed her hands on his cheeks and pulled his head backwards, so he was looking up at her. As soon as Jack realized it was Carson, he gave her one his special smiles. The smile that was meant just for her.

Carson smiled back at Jack and than leaned down and pecked his lips lightly a couple of times. Than pulled back and straightend back up and smiled at the rest of the guys, who were now smiling at her.

"My sweet sweet Carson, what is this about you wanting to castrate me earlier?" R.J. asked smiling at her.

Out of the corner her eye she could see James Wieniewski spit out his beer. And a couple of the other guys start to choke either on there drink or air.

"I'm sorry Umby it wasn't just you on the receiving end of my wrath this morning," she smiled sweetly at him.

"Oh yeah who else?" R.J asked.

Cam started shifting uncomfortably in his seat. "Oh you know you, Cam, Sidney." she answered with a smirk.

"Anyways are you boys staying for dinner?" Carson asked looking around the room.

"Yes ma'am" was the collective answer.

"Well I'll go order pizza's than," Carson said, looking down at Jack.

"Ok baby," Jack replied.

She grabbed her purse off the hallway table and walked into the kitchen. Setting purse on the kitchen counter. She pulled out her cell phone and checked it making sure she hadn't missed a called. She rolled her eyes when she saw she had missed a call from her Aunt Cathrine. Carson set her phone on the counter and picked up the house phone and dialed their favorite pizza place. After placing the order she hung up the house phone, just as her cell phone started ringing again. She looked at the caller ID and ignored it seeing it was her Aunt Cathrine again.

She went over and pulled a coke out of the fridge when her phone started ringing again.

'Jesus it's going to be just like this morning again. What could she possibly want?'she asked herself.

Setting her coke down she decided to go put her stuff away before Jack started snooping through her bags. She walked back out to the entry and grabbed her bags and hauled them upstairs to the bedroom. She was halfway done putting her stuff away when Jack showed up in the doorway. Carson looked up at him and waited for him to say something.

"Baby your phone has been ringing non-stop," Jack answered her unspoken question.

"It's just my aunt, nobody important" she responded shrugging her shoulders.

"Which one?" he asked, looking confused.

"Cathrine," was all she answered, that was all she had to say.

"Ahhhhh," he replied, with a look of understanding on his face.

They both headed back downstairs, Carson going into the kitchen to grab her drink. Her phone started ringing once again as her hand landed on her pop can. She almost decided to ignore it again, but knew her Aunt would keep calling if she never answered. Even at the most inconvenient times if Carson didn't answer her. Picking up her phone she hit the talk button.

"What?" she sighed into the phone.

"What? What is that how you young people answer the phone to your elders, nowadays?" her Aunt Cathrines nasily voice snapped over the line.

"Is there something you needed?" she asked, rubbing her temples feeling a headache coming on.

'This is why I never answer her phone calls. I end up with a migraine from talking to her'she thought.

"That is not how you speak to your elders young lady. I know you know better, or maybe you don't. You always were your fathers daughter, well all of you kids were your fathers children. Well if you had answered your phone in the first place you would have known why I was calling," Aunt Cathrine replied nastily.

"I'm sorry Aunt Cathrine I was busy. Now what do I owe you the pleasure to have you calling me so many times?" she asked sarcastically.

"I just called to inform you that your mother screwed up again and the state has taken your little brother Levi from her," Aunt Cathrine snapped.

Carson felt as if the air in her lungs had been knocked out as she suddenly felt light headed and reached back with her hand to grasp the kitchen counter, to hold her up.

"W-what do y-you mean?" she aske shakily.

"Oh now that has your attention doesn't it? Well all I know is I got a call from your mother and she's in jail. She also said that Levi had been taken into state care," Cathrine replied nastily.

"Oh my god. Well what needs to be done? What do we need to do for Levi, to get him out of states care?" she asked, she could feel tears running down her cheeks and her knees were shaking.

Right at that moment Carson felt sick to her stomache. She couldn't stand anymore and felt herself sliding down the kitchen cabinets to the kitchen floor. She pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped an arm around her legs, as her other shaky hand barely held the phone to her ear.

"What does that matter at the moment. What we need to do right now is get the money together to get your mother out of jail," her aunt snapped.
