Dr. Grey Will See You Now

The next morning Kris woke up and got a shower all by himself with no help from Madison. He then went down and decided to make Madison breakfast as she was still sleeping. Kris was making omelets for them both. He let Ashes out and fed her. Once the food was done he put it onto a tray with two glasses of Orange Juice and headed up to their room.
"That smells good." Madison says sitting up as he came into their room.
"Good I figured since you have been taking care of me lately I could return the favor and make sure you ate." Kris says.
"Thanks." Madison says.
He sits beside her and they both start to eat.
"You showered too?" Madison asks smelling his body wash.
"I did all by myself. No pain." Kris says.
"That is good baby I am happy." Madison says.
They finish eating and Kris takes the dishes down to wash them. Madison and turned one of the guest bedrooms into an office and she went to do some work from home. Kris did a few things around the house.
A little while later he was in the bedroom getting dressed. Madison came in to find out what they were doing for dinner.
"Why are you putting on a suit?" Madison asks.
"I am going to the arena to watch the game." Kris says.
"Kris it's only been a week. You really shouldn't Madison says.
"Why not? I feel fine and Mario invited me to sit in the booth." Kris says.
"All those people baby if someone bumps into you the wrong way they could jar your neck and do damage." Madison says.
"I have my neck brace baby." Kris says.
"As your doctor I am advising you not to go." Madison says.
"Really you are going to play that card? Why don't you want me to go. It's game 5 and if we win we advance to the next round." Kris says.
"Yes because as your doctor I don't want damage done to your neck. That could be a huge set back. But as your fiancée I am begging you don't go. I don't want anything to happen to you because I love you." Madison says.
"I love you too but you cannot keep me here. I am going." Kris says.
"God you are so fucking stubborn you know that." Madison groans.
"I am going to watch my team play. I am going to show them support because I can and I want to. I am 29 fucking years old I do not need your permission to do something." Kris says walking out the bedroom slamming the door.
He heads down to the front door. Sid had just pulled up he grabs his keys and walks out slamming the front door behind him. He gets in Sid's car and they head toward the arena.
"You okay man?" Sid asks.
"Yeah Madison didn't want me to come tonight." Kris says.
"Why not?" Sid asks,
"She was afraid I would suffer a set back." Kris says.
"Wow but she is just worried about you." Sid says.
"I know but I am fine. I wouldn't do anything if I didn't feel I was up to it." Kris says.
"Yeah." Sid says.
They arrive at the arena. Kris sneaks up to the booth to try and avoid the media and attention. Kris watches the game. The penguins end up winning 5-2 and would be advancing to the second round of the playoffs. Kris was so happy for his teammates. He headed down to the locker room to celebrate with them.
Sid, Geno and some of the other guys were going out to celebrate. Kris went with them just to spend time with them. He wasn't going to drink and neither was Sid because he had to drive Kris home. Being with the guys helped him get over his bad mood.

Madison was so upset. She texted Liz.
"Hey are you free?"
"Why what's up?" Liz texts back.
"I need a friend." Madison replies.
"I am free. Me and Micah will be right over." Liz says.
Madison went down to wait for her. She was so pissed at Kris but she was also hurt as well. A few minutes later there was a knock at the door. Madison opens it letting Liz and Micah inside.
Liz took Micah into the game room and turned on the Hockey game for him. He laid down on the couch to watch it. Liz and Madison went into the kitchen.
"I bought taco bell." Liz says sitting the bags down.
She had bought a little of everything.
"Oh my god I have been craving it since Kris left just didn't have the energy to go get it." Madison says.
"Wait since Kris left? Where did he go?" Liz asks.
"He went to the game." Madison says.
"He did what?" Liz asks.
"He was invited to sit in Mario's box. So he went." Madison says.
"Wow is that a good idea?" Liz asks.
"I don't know. I told him how I felt about it not only as his doctor but as his fiancée. He blew up at me and we fought." Madison says trying not to cry.
"Kris has a stubborn streak a mile long when it suits him." Kris says.
"Yeah I mentioned him being stubborn. And that just made him go off more and then he stormed out of her and got into the car with Sid." Madison says.
"I am sorry Madison. But when Kris comes home he will apologize trust me." Liz says.
"I know but he really hurt me. I love him so much and I just don't want him to have a set back. "Madison says.
"Yeah I know sweetie but he is a man he don't see it like that." Liz says.
"I know." Madison says.
They eat the food chowing down.
"Trust me Kris will come back and you guys will make up." Liz says.
"Yeah I know it just sucks." Madison says.
Her and Liz go and watch the rest of the game together with Micah. When it was over Liz and Micah head back home because it was Micah's bedtime.
Madison laid down on the couch waiting for him to come home. A few hours had passed since the game ended and Kris wasn't home.
Madison was getting worried. She grabbed her phone to check it and had no new messages or anything.
"Where are you baby please come home." Madison texts Kris.
She waited and got no reply.
"I am sorry." Madison texts to Kris hoping that would make him answer her.
Finely with no answer she texts Sid.
"Where are you and is Kris with you?"
"We went out to dinner after the game. Yes Kris is with me and yes he is fine. We will be home in a little bit." Sid says replies.
"Okay because Kris didn't answer his phone and I was worried." Madison replies back.
"Oh yeah his phone died." Sid replies back.
Madison breathed a sigh of relief that he was okay and would be home soon. She let Ashes out and the headed up to bed. She changed into his shirt and climbed into his side of the bed hugging his pillow.
