Trouble in the King's Court

Chapter 1

Manhattan, New York. January 1st, 2018.

24-year-old Alyson Marie's life was changing so fast and the new year had just begun. She was accepted into the Master's program at New York University (NYU) and couldn't wait to get started in a few weeks. She was also doing some freelance hosting at MLB Network, her dream, and that was exciting too. But perhaps, the biggest one of all? She landed a nanny job at the home of the goaltender of her favorite hockey team, Henrik Lundqvist, for his two daughters in exchange for him and his wife paying for her school since graduate studies can run high. But when Henrik decides he wants Aly now, how will affect not just school, but her career?

It's a beautiful and wintry day in New York City. Aly is having lunch with her dear friend Kristina at The Flying Puck, about one block from the Garden. The girls have been great friends for over three years and they trusted one another with pretty much anything and everything. They even consider themselves unbiological sisters with the relationship they have.

"So, are you excited to nanny Charlise and Juli for the next eighteen months?" Kristina asked.

Aly nodded, sipping her lemon water, "Absolutely. I can't wait to see those sweet little angels plus I'm so thankful Henrik and Therese are going to cover school costs for me."

"That was incredibly kind of them. I want to ask this, but I don't want to offend anyone," Kristina said.

"Girl, you're like my little sister. You never offend me. What's up?" Aly insisted.

Kristina deeply sighed, "What if Henrik tries to come on to you? I mean, he is pretty fucking hot."

"That won't happen. He loves his wife. They've been together since they were 20. Nothing will happen. Yeah, he's gorgeous, but nothing's going to happen," Aly re-assured.

"Okay, I'm just making sure. You text or call me if anything seems suspicious," Kristina said.

Aly gave her friend a look, "You know I will."

-----------------------------------------------

Around 4 in the afternoon, after Kristina headed back home to New Jersey, Aly headed to Tribeca to meet Henrik's daughters for the first time. She was so thrilled and excited for this opportunity, plus it could also prepare her for having her own children one day. She arrived at their stunning apartment, knocking on the door.

The door swung open and a shirtless Henrik answered, "Aly! You're here! Come on in!"

Aly tried so hard not to drool, snapping out of it. She stepped inside and looked around, "What a beautiful place. I'm so excited to get started."

Suddenly, a blue-eyed, blonde-haired little girl ran over, "Hi! I'm Charlise! Are you my new nanny?"

"I sure am! It's so nice to meet you princess," Aly said, bending at her level.

Charlise hugged Aly, "We're going to have so much fun. My sister Juli is napping. You'll meet her soon!"

"Great! So, uh, Hank. Is there anything I need to do first?" Aly asked.

"Your guest room is next to Charlise's. Just make yourself comfortable and relax. Therese is out with Natalie (center J.T. Miller's wife) and Jessica (Rick Nash's wife) for a girls' day out. She should be home around 7," Henrik explained.

While Charlise went and played with her toys, Aly went to the guest room and unpacked a little. It was a beautiful room that overlooked downtown Manhattan and she knew it was going to be a great eighteen months. She sat on her bed and pulled out her phone to text Kristina, letting her know she was at the apartment.

Henrik tapped on the door, quietly entering, "Can I come in?"

"Sure. Thank you again for this opportunity. I'm so excited to get started," Aly replied.

Henrik sat next to her and put his hand on her thigh, "You're going to be great. I know I'm excited."

"What are you doing?" Aly worried, pushing his hand off.

"Just relax. I'm just being nice!" Henrik added.

But was Henrik really being nice? What kind of sick games did he have in mind?
