Later That Night
Trinity and Jonathan were at his Vegas Penthouse, for a couples birthday celebration. He had many things planned, some innocent, others.... not so much. He started off the night by opening a bottle of Merlot, pouring two glasses, sat on the couch next to Trinity and handed one to her.
"So Trin baby, how's your birthday been so far?" Jonathan wrapped an arm around her, pulling her closer, and set his wine glass down on the coffee table.
"It's been great!" She said over optimistically, not saying a word about William.
"It's only gonna get better." Jonathan flashed her one of his pearly smiles and placed a soft kiss on her neck.
The two chatted for a while, before long, Trinity was asleep on Jonathan's shoulder. When she fell asleep, Jonathan noticed that her wine glass didn't even have a drop out of it, and Trinity loved wine. "Trin, honey." He woke her up gently, kissing her forehead.
"Yeah?" She blinked awake.
"Why haven't you drank your wine?" Jonathan played with her silky, tangly, curly hair.
Trinity couldn't respond, nerves took over. Subconsciously she put her left hand on her abdomen, which the movement of her hand drew Jonathan's attention to her abdomen; noticing the slightly round bump which was developing. Jonathan couldn't hold in his gasp, out of everything planned for tonight, he didn't expect this one.
"It's yours, 9 weeks." Trinity trembled, terrified of his potential reactions.
The words, 'It's yours' almost brought happy tears to his eyes. When Trinity got distracted; then refocused on Jonathan, he was down on the floor- on one knee.
"I was planning on doing this tonight no matter what, but now is the time. I fell in love with you the day you came to Vegas. You complete me in every way. You are the reason I look forward to everyday. I want to share every moment of my life with you, start a family with you. I will take care of you and I will never make you cry. I promise to never leave you alone, I promise to be with you for life." Jonathan paused to open the ringbox. "Trinity Elle Byström, will you do the honors of becoming Trinity Elle Audy-Marchessault and marry me?"
Tears fell down her cheeks, "Yes! I will marry you, Jon!" Jonathan wiped the tears off her face with his thumb, then placed the diamond surrounded garnet ring on her left ring-finger.
"I love you, Trin. I won't let you and this soon to be baby down." He smiled before pressing his lips against hers.
This would only be the beginning for these two,
