Where Did we go wrong? We didn't aid in this, so why must we be tortured so?
It was a week exactly after the Penguins' 3rd straight Stanley Cup win, when, like with Fleury after the 2nd straight one, Crosby had to be sacrificed with a trade.

The day where Pittsbugh, Washington fans, but more importantly Philadelphia fans have been awaken to team-changing news. Just this morning, a tweet from PhiladelphiaFlyers read:
(10:45 AM) "We are more than pleased to announce a new member of our team: Mr. Sidney Crosby! Crosby, our trade for Giroux, will join starting in the 2018-19 season."
Unfortunately, the Penguins were treated with an even disappointing surprise...

(11 AM) "As if our Crosby being traded to the Flyers wasn't bad enough, who takes his place, you ask? *Gulp* Alex Ovechkin from the Wahington Capitals. You fans have until October to bask in this victory, until it fades away. #why"
Finally, the Capitals' reaction:

"Our Ovi has been traded to Pittsburgh, Crosby is for the Flyers, and we get Claude Giroux. #madness #unreal"
We'll just have to wait and see what happens in October, where we will get the real answers to these questions and more...
