Hockey Swingers Club

Chapter 15

The entire neighborhood and hockey world were stunned at the actions of Henrik, unable to comprehend the fact he murdered two innocent people and kidnapped the wife of one of his teammates. Pending the full investigation, the Rangers temporarily released Henrik from his massive contract because the front office would not believe their star goaltender could commit such heinous acts.

Aly was home from the emergency room after a quick checkup by the doctors. Her and Chris' unborn baby was fine and despite a couple bruises and shakeups, Aly was okay too. This whole ordeal has brought the couple even closer and they can only contemplate what their lives would have been like if they never attended the swingers meetings.

Chris walked over and handed his wife some hot decaf tea, "Orange ginger, your favorite. How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay, baby. I just can't believe Henrik would do this. It was one thing to kidnap me, but he murdered two of our friends. He is so sick in the head," Aly replied.

"But thank god he didn't harm you because I would have killed him myself. I never want to lose you," Chris said, rubbing his wife's hand.

Suddenly, the couple's front door opened and two people came inside, nearly causing them to fall over because James, who was supposed to be dead, walked in, "Hey guys!"

"James!? What the hell!? We thought Henrik killed you!" Chris gasped.

James and Lori sat across from Aly and Chris on their loveseat. The handsome Australian spoke, "I faked my death and escaped when he was captured by the police. He buried me in a shallow grave and I faked everything as well as I could until it was finally safe to sneak out. Aly, I heard what he did to you and I am so sorry. How are you doing?"

"I am still in shock and awe over his actions, but I can't believe you are alive. Wait. Could this mean Maddy might be alive too? What else could he have lied about?" Aly wondered.

Lori nodded, "Great point. I called Ryan when James came home and he is flying in from Nashville tomorrow to hopefully retrace Maddy's last steps and maybe, she could be alive too."

Chris was in obvious disbelief, "But why would he lie about murder? And Aly's kidnapping was surely for real, she had marks on her wrists from the ropes. The police have him on that charge."

"We need to prove Maddy is really dead because if she isn't, he could easily get a short sentence in jail since I'm alive, but we have to be so careful," James added.

Lori sighed, "How the hell can we do this?"

"Maybe...until his hearing date, the boys take him out to lunch and wear a secret wire and y'all try to get him to talk about it. It may be the only way to get him to admit where he possibly buried her," Aly suggested.

Chris perked up, "Baby, that's genius. I'm in."

It was a complete whirlwind to know James was actually alive...but was Maddy? Was Henrik bluffing for attention this whole time?
