Hockey Swingers Club

Chapter 7

After telling Henrik of the threats James has imposed, Aly was afraid to leave her house and do anything. She was due back to work in a little over a week and the thought of going outside terrified her. The Price Is Right is currently on spring hiatus, meaning James did not have to fly out to California until the beginning of June to start taping the fall shows.

Chris was in Manhattan today, doing some post-season interviews with Barstool Sports & Bleacher Report, not expecting to return home until late. Thankfully for Aly, Henrik and Therese lived two doors down incase she needed them for anything or if James tried something. It was a gloomy day in upstate New York, so Aly decided to just relax and watch movies in her and Chris' theater room.

Aly was in the kitchen when she heard a door open and shut, "H-Hello? Is anyone there?" No response. She shrugged it off and went to the pantry to fetch a bag of popcorn when the door slamming occurred again, causing serious anxiety. She reached into the far back of the pantry, grabbing a rolling pin, ready to harm whoever was in her house.

Lori walked in, "Aly!? It's me!"

"Lori, what the hell? You scared the shit out of me. How did you get in here?" Aly asked, putting the rolling pin on the counter.

"You gave me a spare key, remember? I thought I heard something outside and wanted to make sure you're okay," Lori said.

Aly sighed, "Yeah, I'm fine." She really wasn't. The feelings of James and his story was eating her alive.

Lori looked at her friend, "You don't look so good. What's going on?"

"Lori...I can't tell you. He threatened me," Aly cried.

"What? Who did? You can tell me," Lori assured.

Aly shook her head, "No, I can't. He will hurt me."

"Please. We're friends. Tell me," Lori insisted.

"It...it's your husband. He abducted you. He hurt you," Aly blurted.

Lori was beside herself, shocked at her friend's admission, "What!? When did he say this!?"

"The police were over your house the day before you escaped. I went upstairs to look for something and there were pictures of you and Sean, with James claiming you two were having an affair for three months. He said he got rid of you, and I went to tell the police when he grabbed me and made me swear not to tell. He said he wanted to get rid of you for revenge," Aly explained while crying.

"Sweetie, he is wrong, okay? Sean and I are not having an affair. He has a house out in the Finger Lakes that he wants remodeled so he can sell it, and I was helping him with design plans. We are almost done with renovations and he is calling a realtor tomorrow to set up an open house for people to come look. I can't believe James would think I'd leave him," Lori said.

Aly wiped her eyes, "I'm so sorry. I just had to admit it."

"I appreciate you telling me. I better get home and deal with him. I'll call you later," Lori added before leaving.

Once Lori left, Aly felt relieved that her friend was not having an affair and that James basically lied to get closer to her. She looked at the clock and Chris wasn't due home for another four hours, so she had time to unwind with a couple movies. While she made some popcorn in the microwave, Aly had an eerie feeling that something was off.

Aly slowly turned around and it was non other than James in her house. She tried to run, but he pulled her back by her hair, "Let me go!"

"Oh hell no! You are mine now! I made you promise not to tell, and now, you will pay for this," James screamed, pulling her into his chest.

"You can't do this to me. Let me go right now!" Aly demanded.

James placed a cloth over her mouth, pressing so she'd breathe in the substance, "Time for sleep. Wait until you see where I'm bringing you."

A man possessed, obsessed and angry: three characteristics of a sick and twisted individual.
