**********

It was a beautiful fall day as the bus pulled up to the door of the arena. It was green, blue and white, and had the words VICTORIA CHARTERS printed in swirling letters on the side. It parked in front of the sliding glass doors, and waited for it's passengers. People began to stare at the giant luxury bus as it idled, and three men came out. They were all in Victoria Charters uniforms, and they began to open the under carriage of the bus. They were all drivers, because this particular bus had been chosen to take a very particular team clear across the continent and back if necessary.

A young man walked through the glass doors and out into the sunshine. He wasn't pale, but his tan wasn't apparent either. He had dark blue eyes, and his light brown hair was spiked all the way up in the top. He wore a tuxedo, despite the temperature being well over shorts and T-shirt weather.

"Mr. Belanger?" One of the drivers questioned him, shaking his hand.

He nodded, and handed over his suitcase to another driver. He was the man behind the logo. He was both the head coach and the general manager of the team, and for the most part he kept to himself about anything official.

He boarded the bus and claimed the very front seat, with a view of the entire windshield. He splayed out his briefcase of papers on the seat next to him, and set down his phone on the tray in front of him. One of the buses two attendants came to check if he needed anything. He quietly dismissed her. He wasn't one to talk before a game, unless it was important.

The players began to file out of the arena, all in suit. The equipment staff brought out their bags, and within the hour the entire bus was packed with the players, staff, and equipment.

"We all here?" Questioned one of the drivers, and Jake nodded.

As the bus began to raise itself up to it's full height, and the doors closed, the bus was full of excitement. The players played cards, listened to music, read books and magazines, and used any other time waster they could find.

"Stan, wake up. We haven't left yet." Milo Surprenant poked the starting goalie from the very back seat of the bus.

"Shut up, I'm tired, Mi." Stanley Denton mumbled to the star defenseman.

Milo was expected to make the biggest impact on the entire team, and he was ready to hold up to the expectations. He hailed from Edmonton, which would be the first stop on the road trip. He had led the last team he played for in scoring, despite the fact that he was a defenseman, which had raised eyebrows of scouts all over the country.

A few rows ahead of him, Sarah Chenier rested her head against the window. Her best friend was listening to music next to her, and her long blonde hair was blowing into Sarah's face.

"Sofia!" She hissed, untangling the blonde's locks from her own brown hair. "Keep this shit contained."

Sofia Skinner smiled and turned her head to the side, secretly laughing at Sarah's impatience.

Near the front of the bus, Travis Jacobs and Matt Lindsay were playing cards on a table. The best friends had come prepared, with decks for every single game ever invented, as well as enough poker chips to fill the grand canyon.

"Bluff." Travis called his friend, and Matt muffled a curse as he threw down his cards.

"I'm done. Different game." He shook his head, as Travis began to shuffle the deck again.

As the players entertained themselves with various methods, the bus drove smoothly along the highway, bound due east. They were off to Edmonton.
