I think it would be a great option to be able to subscribe to an author, with alerts to a new story being posted. From there we'd have the option of subscribing to the new story or not.
Basically i'm suggesting this because i'm lazy and don't have as much time as i'd like to keep up with every authors personal page to see if they've posted anything new.
