"Goodnight everyone!" Colette called i=from the hallway, as we all branched off to our own rooms.

I followed Avia and Emmi into our room, and shut the door behind us.

"OK. I'll get changed in the bathroom, and you girls call to me when I can come out." I told the girls, as I rummaged through my suitcase for my swimming shorts.

I found them, and headed to the bathroom, closing the door behind me.

I got changed into my swimming shorts, and sat down on the counter, waiting for the girls. My shorts were purple and black, and had the LA Kings logo on the side of each leg. They had been a gift from my captain, Dustin Brown, to welcome me to the team.

"OK! Come on out!" Avia called to me from the outside of the bathroom door.

I opened the door, and headed for my suitcase, grabbing my LA Kings towel, which Dustin had given me with the swimming shorts.

"Let's go." I said to the girls, opening the door to the hallway.

They followed me out, and down the hall to the elevators. I pushed the down button, and one of the doors sprung open, revealing an elevator waiting for us. I stepped in, and held the door open for the girls.

I glanced at my reflection in the mirrors in the elevator, looking at my slight tan, and the way my shoulders appeared to bulge.

The elevator dinged softly, and we stepped out into the lobby.

"Pool?" Asked one of the women behind the front desk. "That way."

She pointed to the left of the desk, down a hallway, and I thanked her.

Avia and Emmi both ran ahead, to open the door and scout out the pools.

"Looks good!" I said, as I stepped through the doorway, and into the pool room.

There was a massive window on one wall, looking out into the parking lot, and the night sky was filled with stars.

I took off my shirt, and climbed into the room temperature pool. It was nice, and not too cold. I dunked my head, and swam from one end to the other.

"Can I jump from here?" Avia called to me, standing at the deep end of the pool.

"Sure!" I nodded. "Do you want me to catch you, or do you want to just land in the water?"

"Catch me?" She asked shyly.

"You got it." I nodded, and began to tread water in a effort to show I was ready.

Avia jumped into the air, and came flying down, into the pool. I grabbed just below her arms, and caught her.

Emmi cheered, and moved to the edge of the pool to try and do the same.

I grinned. I was going to sleep good after that.
