Steph's POV

I watched the game intently, leaning forward in my seat, watching Crosby handling the puck, and observed as Sid scored, and Alex hit him from behind roughly. What the fuck was Alex doing?! I watched as they both hit the ice, and Sid didn't move. I saw the blood down the back of his head, and looked on as Toews pulled Alex off of him. I shot up from my seat. Shit. Sid was hurt. Badly. I saw the medical staff rush to Sidney and surround him, and Alex was pulled off the ice by Geno and took to the locker room. I ran towards the exit. I had to see Alex. I ran down the hall and into the Team Russia locker room. I slammed the door open and furiously walked up to where Alex was sitting, a few of his teammates and his coach talking to him. "Hey, you can't be in here right now" his coach said as Alex looked up at me.

"I don't give a fuck. I need to talk to my brother right fucking NOW." I said sternly. They all looked at each other and with a nod left the locker room, leaving me and Alexander. I looked at him. "Alex. Why? Why, did you do that to him?!" I could hear the worry in my tone.

"Why, you ask me? Well, Steph, your little boyfriend has been spreading SHIT ABOUT ME AND YOU!" He yelled at me as he got up. I looked at him, completely confused as to what was going on.

"Wait, wait. Alex, Sidney wouldn't do that, ever! Who told you this shit?!"

"Who told ME, Brooks fucking Orpik told me. You know, the guy that i'm Damn FRIENDS WITH."

I let out a laugh. "Wait, so, you're going to listen to what that asshole tells you? Alex, WHY? What is WRONG WITH YOU?" I screamed at him, and pushed him back hard. "Well, FUCK YOU! And you know what, i'm gonna go see if Sidney's okay. Because right now, I couldn't give a bigger crap about you, and what YOU think." I turned and walked out the door.

I went up to Jonathan Toews, and asked him how Sidney was doing. He told me he didn't know yet, but he knew what hospital they took him to. I decided to go there to check how Sid was. I turned and looked at the ice, and watched the workers cleaning the blood off the ice. Hell of a lot of blood. I felt a twinge of pain. I had to see Sidney.

I pulled into the parking lot of the hospital and ran in to the front desk. The lady at the desk looked up at me and smiled, and asked me in Russian if she could help me. "Uh, I need to see a Sidney, Sidney Crosby?" I fiddled with the keychain on my car keys, my palms sweaty. She turned to her computer, and after a moment, looked back up at me, replying this time in English. "Da. He is in critical condition right now, head trauma. But nurse Nina will take you to the Emergency waiting area, where you can see him once the doctor clears him. I signed my name on the list, and she called the nurse over who told me to follow her. She took me past the rooms and after turning lots of corners, she pushed open a door revealing a waiting room similar to the one before, but less full. She gestured for me to sit, smiled, and walked away.

I sat for what felt like an hour, before a doctor walked in to the waiting area, and up to me. She looked friendly, and seemed as if she were in her late twenty's. She kneeled down close to me. "Privet. You are Stephanie Ovechkin?" I nodded.

"Da, can I see him now, doctor?" She smiled, and nodded. I got up and followed her out the room. She finished writing on her clipboard, and turned to look at me.

"He had a deep wound in his head, and needed some stitches, and while we were afraid of concussion symptoms, he was cleared. We also gave him some pain medication for the stitches, so he might be sleeping, but he will be okay. Just will need to keep off doing anything too vigorous that will affect the head." She stopped outside a room. "You can go right in, and if you need anything, my name is Dr. Viktoria." She turned and left.

I pushed the door open and went over to where Sidney lay on the bed. I sat by him, and took hold of his hand. He opened his eyes slowly and looked at me. I smiled. "Hey, Sid."

"Hey. You came to see me?" He smiled as he grasped on to my hand. I nodded, and leaned in closer to him. "I'm so glad your okay, Sidney. Look I don't know why Alex would attack you like that, but-"

"Hey, it's okay. It's not your fault, or anything." He sat up. "I can't miss the rest of the game. I can't. My team needs me."

"No, Sid, your not okay, you need to rest. Sidney, please." I tried to convince him to stay. But he wouldn't listen. So I called in Dr. Viktoria. She checked his temperature and the wound, then looked over at me, and sighed.

"Look, I usually never let patients leave in this condition, but... It's the Olympics, and I understand how big this is for you, Mr.Crosby. So I will let you make an exception. But if anything gets worse, you won't leave this hospital for 2 weeks." She got the release forms signed and left. I helped Sidney get up. He pulled off his blood covered jersey, and under armour, and pulled out the other set of equipment his team sent for him. He stood shirtless in front of me, and I caught myself staring. He looked over at me, and pulled me close to him, and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Stephanie. I missed you so bad." He whispered. He leaned in closer to me, and kissed me softly. I put my hand on his neck and kissed him back intently. He pushed me back towards the wall, pressed right up against me. This was actually...my first kiss. But not like I would have told him. I was 19 and never kissed anyone before. Fail. He pulled back.

"I missed you too." I replied softly. He went back over to where the equipment was, and put it all on, and took hold of my hand.

"Let's go kick some ass at the Olympics." He replied.
