She Is Love

I stood up and told Sid i'd be right back. I pressed answer and held the phone to my ear. "Uh...Hello?" "Oh hey, Steph." Tyler replied. "Um, this must seem pretty random to you, me calling you, but uh after the Caps game against the Bruins, we're all going out for dinner, Alex is coming too. Just a get together. You want to join us?" I thought over his offer. Well, what's the harm. I told him i'd be there, and went back to our table and sat down. Sid looked up at me from his menu.

"Who was it?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Hm? Oh um, no one. Just a invite to dinner Friday night." I replied. Sid nodded. We were at the place for about a hour, just sat there and talked. On the way back to the hotel, I turned down the radio in the car. "So since we're heading to Nova Scotia tomorrow...I finally get to meet your family right? He laughed.

"Ah Steph of course. I'm not going to keep you hidden or anything from them."

I smiled coyly. "That's right."

I awoke to the sound of my alarm going off. I rolled over and checked the screen. 5:00 am. I sat up in ed and awoke Sidney. "C'mon, get up. We gotta get our flight." He got up and went to take a shower. I slipped on my black tights and a white shirt with my knee high boots. I put my hair into a ponytail and did my makeup. Sid got out and dressed in his suit with a navy tie. I made sure the last of the things were packed, and we headed out the hotel to the airport.

It wasn't that long of a flight, but felt like it. Outside the terminal, Sidney's dad was waiting. His face lit up when he saw both of us. He hugged Sid and shook my hand. "Oh, so this is Stephanie. Well you are really very pretty, just as Sidney told us!" I thanked him for the compliment, and went out to the car. It was a 2 hour drive or so down to Cole Harbour, and I was exhausted by the time we got there. Sidney's house was very big and beautiful. He opened the front door and led me inside. Sidney's mom came up to greet me, and I also met his sister, Taylor, who was home from Shattucks's St. Mary's for a while. It was around dinner time, and we decided to head out to Boston Pizza. I changed into a floral dress and ballet flats, and let my hair down. I was exhausted. And starving. It was fun, getting to know his family more and staying with them. We got back home around 8:30pm, and I fell back onto the bed. Sidney walked in and lay beside me. "You heading to bed." He asked.

I laughed. "Uh yes of course. Why?" He held out his hand and helped me up.

"Well first, I want to take you somewhere. And trust me, you'll love it." I was hesitant, but decided to go. We walked along the side of the road and I took in the cool, crisp night air. Cole Harbour was by the ocean, and the sound of waves was close by. Sidney led me to a little spot off of the shore of the ocean, and we sat down on a rock half way into the water. "So what do you think of this?" He asked as he sat down beside me and pulled me in close to him. I took in the beautiful scenery and the water, with the only light coming from the stars and the moon above.

"This is beautiful, Sidney. How did you find this place?"

He shrugged. "I came across it one day as a kid, when I would play on the beach. No one but me knows about it. It's pretty far off so no one sees it. But this is just between me and you."

I nodded. I took in the smell of the salt water and the air around me, and leaned in to Sidney for a kiss.
