She Is Love

I sat back in my seat and took in a deep breath. I had just finished writing my essay for university and was making sure it was perfect. Harvard was, well, what I was aiming for, and the last school I had yet to send my registration essay to. I took off two years after high school and now, at 21 was going to college. I read it over for the millionth time, and decided it was right. I sent the essay along with all my transcripts. I had gotten back from Nova Scotia just yesterday and was already missing Sid. I smiled just at the thought of him, and how he was probably fishing with his dad, or playing some hockey with his sister. Or maybe, with him being a mama's boy, helping her clean or something. I turned off my laptop and headed downstairs, and sat down on the couch by Alex. He looked over at me. "You done with your essay?" I nodded.

"Yeah. Finally, after like spending all night on it. Hey you still want to go for coffee?" I offered. He nodded, and got up. The place was this little amazing café about 10 minutes from our house, where me and Alex would go all the time. We got there, ordered, and I picked a spot by the window and sat down.

"So, Stephie. How's things wit you and Sidney?" He asked as he took a sip of his latte.

"Yeah, things are good, actually everything's pretty awesome. He's so perfect, and adorable. Just miss him already."

He scoffed. "God, if your going to get all lovey and shit I don't want to know any more."

I laughed. "God relax, okay. So are you going to miss me when I go off for college?"

"Uh, no. Not at all. In fact, it's going to be so much better without you."

"Ha, more like the opposite." I replied.


3 weeks later

I stood in my living room in front of my family with my Harvard letter in my hands. I took a deep breath and opened it, pulling out the letter. I read over the words and couldn't help but smile. "I GOT IN!!" I ran and hugged my parents tight, and pulled out my phone to tell Sidney. I typed furiously and waited for his reply. I smiled broadly as I read over his text.
