This is the story of Mickayla Hammer and she is about to find out that the challenges she overcame during her journey to the NHL were just a gain of sand compared to the obstacles she will face as she searches for her place in the NHL. When everything seems to be against her, she finds that it takes a courageous person to weather the storm she has to face.
(This story takes place during the 2011-12 NHL season.)
