Worried Girlfriend
In the morning Addison woke up before Jon. She went down to get her bike and came back to see how Johnny's doing. Back at his place, Jon was now sitting on the couch watching ESPN. Having an ice pack on his head.
"Hey Jon how are you doing." She place a kiss on his cheek. On the screen ESPN was showing the hit that Jon took last night.
"I'm doing alright." He huffed.
"Do you want any breakfast?"
"No just tea." While she was making tea she was looking online to see how to deal with a concussion. From all the stuff she was reading she knew what she had to do. She came back with his tea and turn off the TV.
"What the fuck?" Jon acting like a little kid.
"I just read that you can't watch tv or any screen for 24 hours."
"Well this isn't my first rodeo of concussion sweetie." Addison rolled her eyes when he said that.
"You need to rest if you want to play soon." Jon handed her the ice pack, grab his tea and headed back to his room. While Jon was sleeping Addison was doing her work. Watching videos of last nights games and the Islander getting their ass handed by the Penguins. While watching the videos she was upset how Jon is treating her. If Addison wasn’t here to help Jon then he wouldn’t recover quickly to get back onto the ice. She get's a text here and there from some of the team mates wanted to know how Jon was doing.
A: Jon's sleeping and he's doing good right know
SHARPIE: We will get him next time we play them just for you.
A: Thanks Sharpie but I don't want you to get in trouble
Kaner: Just a reminder that he's a big baby when he's hurt or sick. Trust me."
A: I think I got it handle and I already had to face it this morning when I told him no TV.
Seabs: :,( already acting like his mother

After they finish their group text, Addison sent her email to Stan telling him how Jon's doing and how they should beat the Islanders. She went back over to Jon's place again. Jon was in the kitchen and looks like he just took a shower.
"How did the shower feel?"
"Good, sorry about this morning."
"It's my job to be a worry girlfriend." Addison warp her arms around Jon’s back. She went on to her tip toes to try to see what Jon was doing.
"What are you trying to make?"
"Pasta?"
"Well your doing it wrong but since it's been 24 hours and we are playing the Islander. I think the game it starting soon." Jon kiss her temple and turn on the TV. During the game Addison knew that Jon wanted to be there. Addison has not clue why they aren't scoring and Jon really want to yell at the TV but it would give him a headache. I sent a text to all of the teams
A: Hope you read this during the intermission but you guys are giving Jon a headache. If you want Jon to have a full recovering than get your head out of your ass !
The score was 3-1 and Addison's heart was growing heavy. Not just for the game but for Jon. Addison was rubbing his neck trying to help Jon relax.
"Just take deep breath, they will win this game."
"How? They can't do anything?"
"Just trust me.” Addison’s phone beep at her.
Kaner: Don't worry we will win this game, we have an idea.
"I think it's time to breath now Jon." Addison got up and started to clean the dishes. They won the game, the score was 3-5 and Addison though he was going to have a heart attack after the game." Addison phone beep again. Jon laugh when he read the text from Kaner.
Kaner: See I told you we will win the game and I didn't had my head up my ass. Tell Jon to calm down!
It has been two weeks and now we are heading to the airport to met up with everyone. Jon was cleared about a couple of days ago. Today was the day that Addison is going to met Jon's mom. Addison was standing in her closet. She wanted to be prefect for Jon's mom when they met. When she heard someone knocking on her door.
"Jon I still need some time." She open up the door and Jon was waiting for her with his bag on his shoulder.
"Your not ever dress. Come on the plane leaves in three hours and I think my mom is already there."
"I just don't know what to wear right now." She open the door wider and Jon went into her closet. Jon look inside her closet and grab a handful of clothes. Jon place an outfit on her bed.
"Mom is simple and she will love you. If I'm happy, she's happy. Now get ready."
"Thanks and my bag is by the door." Jon still wanted Addison to drive just to be sure with his head. They came just in time before everyone was getting on the plane. They had to take photos for the Blackhawk tv. Addison knew that Jon wanted to sit with his mom so Addison sat with Stan. During the flight from Chicago to Florida they were talking about the Panthers and the whole mom's trip. Addison is going to met Jon's mom during the family dinner.
When it came to dinner Addison did had a nice time with Jon and his mom. Addison was sitting next to Sharpie's mom. They were having a great time talking about Thunder Bay and when she spotted John her heart jump a little.
'Remember if Jon's happy than she's happy.' She reminded her self a lot when she see Jon and his mom came closer to the table.
"Addison, I would like you to met my mom."
"Addison I heard so much about you I just now needed a face to know what my son's in love with." Andrée gave her a hug.
"Mom not a lot of people know this so we are trying to keep it on the DL."
"Ops sorry sweetie. When Jon pointed you out on the plane I though that he was hoping that he could date you. I didn't know that it was you he was telling me about. You are so pretty."
"Thank you and you look amazing tonight to." As they all sat around the table eating sushi. Jon couldn't get the smile off his face when Addison and his mom were having a great time.
"So Jon told me a lot of things about you but I can't see you being a huge hockey fan. So why are you a hockey fan?" Andrée ask her.
"I have no clue how but I guess it was meant to be that I wanted to study videos of hockey and help a team out to win games. I didn't know that was a job at first. My friend Kennedy who I though was coming to this trip help me."
"Yes Jon told me about Kennedy. She sounds great to for Kaner.”
“What does Kennedy do for a living?”
“She’s a writer for the Michigan Avenue and she writes her own stuff." Addison look at Kaner and the look on his face shows how much he misses her. The thing is I don't know if they ruled it out if they are really dating or not.
"Yep I think they are great for both of each other." Addison smiled and started to eat her dinner. That night Addison couldn't get her mind off of anything and it was getting annoying. This is the first game back for Jon since we got hit and all she could think of him getting hurt again. So she got up put on her shoes and though maybe a walk around the hotel will help her out. She though if she goes to Jon's room maybe it would be better. But she thinks that Jon's mom will be in there and want to ask a lot of questions. Walking out of the hotel hearing the beach made everything kinda feel better but not to the point where she could go back to her room and sleep. She look at the time and it was 3 in the morning. Sleep is her third favorite to do. One was being with Jon and second was hockey. Addison was walking down the beach where she was that there was someone out here doing the same thing Addison was doing. When she look closer it was Patrick.
"Kaner? What are you doing out here?" Pat had his feet touching the water. He turn his head where he heard Addison and smiled.
"Oh I'm just thinking."
"About?"
"Kennedy."
"Is it a good thing?"
"Yes it is but I don't know how long it's going to take for the both of us to show who we are."
"I'm not following you."
"I just wanted to know if I am her boyfriend, that's all."
"Well by the look on both of your face it's showed that you two are meant to be with each other. I have seen Kennedy so happy this once but that was a long time ago."
"But if she loves me than why is she not here?"
"Did you told her about this?"
"Yea I did but, she said that she didn't feel well. Do you think she's lying to me."
"No Patrick, Kennedy hates when people lie to her so why should she lie to everyone. Beside this is a trip between you and your mom. I think that Kennedy didn't want to be the third wheel of this trip. Time will come when she mets your mom but it might be a little bit to earlier for the both of you. I mean look at Jon and I. We have been dating for a month and I met his mom because I work with him. With Kennedy her wall is a huge brick all. All the shit she had to deal with her life in Thunder Bay, the men she thought that he could be the one. All left her because she wasn't ready to start her life with someone and stay there for the rest of her life." Pat nodded his head still looking down at his feet.
"When was the last time you saw Kennedy this happy?” It took a second more of Addison to find the right answer for Kaner’s question.
"The last time that she was happy was in during her freshman year in high school,I can’t tell you because I don’t want to upset her when she’s ready to tell you herself. I know that she's been hiding it from everyone but I knew everything. Come on we need to get some sleep for tomorrow." They headed back to the hotel and get some sleep.

This is definitely one of my favorite stories I've read, I think I would check back every couple days to see if there was a new chapter. You never disappointed! I can't wait for Kaner and Kennedy's story!!!!! In the mean time does anyone know any good Blackhawks/Stars fanfics I could read while waiting for the spinoff??
