The perfect storm

Kayla's POV
I woke up at 1:30 with a huge headache. Cassidy was laying on the foot of my bed with pillows around her head. I decided to go back to sleep because I had itching to do today anyways.

When I woke up in the late afternoon I went out to the living room and Jon was watching the news. I sat with him in silence until he broke the silence with
"Kay, do you get upset when I bring other girls home because I'm not accusing you or anything but the guys think it's because you kinda have a few feelings for me?"
"please not again with this, we have been best friends since what preschool? I don't have feelings for you but I do feel for you. I don't want you to get hurt." I said. But I knew I was lying.
(weather man)
"Huge severe storms expected for the Chicago area tonight into tomorrow 55 degrees with.."
"Ah fuckin a" Jon said
He had always hated storms , or anything that wasn't just plain and sunny. Since we were 8 we have huddled out storms together. Sophomore year watching movies and cuddling during storms turned a lot different. We both were each other's first time. During a huge storm one July that knocked out power for three days. At UND things stayed pretty much the same. But now with him being away so much he will just call if he's freaked out. Which is always.

At 8 o clock they were lying on the couch. Kayla's head on Jon's chest watching Goon, quoting almost every part. After goon they popped in the hangover and quoted that whole movie too.
