Hot Mess

** I'm going to be adding people and putting some people on different teams, for example Jay Rosehill will be playing for Pittsburgh not Philadelphia, just thought I'd give y'all a heads up on that one, anyways you may now continue on with your Hot Mess **

The week had drug on but it was finally Saturday and Jillian sat in the crowd at the Flames game with her best friend Caroline. Caroline and Jillian had been best friends since Junior high and Caroline was one of the few people who had actually stuck around after the accident and everything that came after that.

" WHERE'S THE CALL REF?!?!" Jillian yelled as she watched Ryan Callahan skate away with smirk on his face as Jiri Hudler got back on his feet after Callahan came in and stuck his stick in Jiri's feet.

" Would you sit down?? You're going to get us kicked out!" Caroline said trying to hide a giggle, she failed.

" That was a clear trip and this whole arena knows that!" Jillian said disgusted.

In the end Jillian let that anger of the non-call go as she watched the Flames bet the Rangers 4-0 with Berra getting a shut out. Jillian and Caroline said their good byes as Caroline headed to her truck and Jillian to wait for Sean in the Family and Friends lounge, for a Saturday night the lounge was fairly empty Jillian noted.

" 'Sup cowgirl" said a voice from behind Jillian which made her jump and yell because it caught her off guard and reminded her of something that happen three years ago which resulted in her getting a broken jaw. Jillian turned around to find Brian McGrattan, Mikael Backlund, Joe Colborne and Sean doubled over laughing.

" Not funny you bunch of jerks!'

" Awe come on Jill that was hilarious!' Joe said finally catching his breath

" Last time someone scared me like that I got my jaw broke." Jillian said walking over to Sean hugging him.

" Oh..." they all said in unison.

" Great game tonight boys, ready to go Sean?" Jillian asked.

" Sure, see you guys tomorrow." Sean said grabbing Jillians hand and walking towards Sean 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500.

" Nice truck" Jillian said approvingly nodding her head.

" Awe sh*t " Jillian groaned.

" What??" Sean asked eyeing her quizzically.

" I forgot Caroline and I drove up here together and now I'm here and she's probably half way home"

" I can give you a ride in the morning after practice" Sean offered

" That's very sweet of you Sean thanks"

Sean and Jillian made it to Sean's apartment surprisingly fast considering it was a Saturday night in downtown Calgary and the Flames had just won against the Rangers.


" Would you like anything to drink?" Sean asked over his shoulder heading to the kitchen.

" Just a glass of water would be good thanks" Jillian said

Sean came back with a glass of water for Jillian and a glass of what looked like juice for himself. ' It's now or never ' Jillian said to herself

" Sean I have to tell you something"

" Go ahead babe" Sean said taking their cups and shifting so he could face her.

" Well uh, you see umm Sean, I'm going to Pittsburgh to visit a friend for three weeks."

" Oh okay wow that's a surprise but why didn't you tell me earlier?"

" I thought it'd be better to tell you in person and not over the phone but Sean that's not the only thing..." Jillian said looking down.

" What else is it babe?" Sean said looking a little worried.

" My friend he umm he kinda plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins..."

" Oh wow umm well that's , uh that's a little shocking"

" Sean I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier I just-" Jillian was cut off by Sean mouth connecting with hers.

" I'm not upset Jillian there's just one thing I need to ask you... Jillian will you be my girlfriend?" Sean asked smiling.

" Yes" and then she leaned in and kissed him.

- Two days later -

All Jillian could hear was her skates carving in to ice at the Consol Energy Center and also her music blasting from the iPhone dock. Jillian couldn't wait to see Jay she hadn't seen him or his family since August when they came back to Pittsburgh for the season. All of a sudden her music stopped playing and she knew it was game time. Jillian circled around and made her way to the bench staring at the shocked faces of the Pittsburgh Penguins. She skated over and stopped in front of the bench , dropped her stick and gloves then taking of her helmet shaking out her long brown hair then looked up and smiled at the team.

I will be changing the month of when Sean and Jillian meet to January instead of December so Jillian will now be 20nstead of 19 and also the name of Jay's family to protect their identity.
